At that time they were still living together, and they were so frustating because covid came when they were just releasing their new album called 7 and their world tour was all canceled...so they were releasing new album called BE and they wrote all of their thought during the pandemic, "life goes on " was one of the song in BE album
Yeah, this time sucked. Had to postpone my wedding, and my pre-honeymoon trip was to see them. Had our tickets and everything. But we all got through it 🥰
This was the first Korean song to debut at #1 in the United States with I believe only 8 spins on radio in the us. They have a great dynamic because they think of each other as family and they are always transparent in Army. Thank you for continuing to react to our boys. I recommend watching the introduction by Taylor if you want to know more about how they came to be a group and what each members role is such as main vocal, lead dancer etcetera.
Wait! This was the first song that debuted at number 1 in the US? How is that possible? I would have thought their earlier stuff would have hit that mark?
@@MixItUpPodcast it was their third number-one single in the United States as well as the first primarily Korean-language song to debut atop the chart. They’ve had other songs be at number on on the charts but never DEBUTED at number 1. And with only 8 radio spins on the release date it’s very hard to debut at number one, so this was an historic moment for BTS and Army. Dynamite was their first song to debut at number 1 on billboard but that songs is all in English. , so to have a primarily non English song debut at number 1 in the us and multiple other countries is a big deal
@@MixItUpPodcast for a Korean song... Billboard is problematic sometimes, the radio spins account for a big percentage in how a song charts. Radio stations and DJs... well lets just say Bighit, BTS company didn't "play" by their rules enough. Army used to send letters, phone in a lot, even send flowers for fair play.... but it's hard to compete with.... payola.
Between 2013 and 2020, they released 2 albums per year on average. On top of that, they also had around 8 or 9 different reality and documentary series, movies, livestreams (randomly whenever they feel like it, but very regular compared to almost all other celebrities), tours, solo mixtapes and solo/duet songs they released for fun, social media posts, fictional storylines and books, and many other things. The rate at which BTS put out content can be unbelievable if you don’t see it for yourself. Very overwhelming for new fans just starting out! Since the end of 2020 and the BE album (Life Goes On), they haven’t put out a group album (instead several singles, collabs, other projects) and in 2022 they shared in an hour long video that they suffered burnout and want to take a break from full-length group albums for a bit while they recover, spend more of their energy on their own personal creative projects (RM and j-hope are two members who already released full solo albums this year!) and enter mandatory military service. They’ve been very adamant about saying that they didn’t split up or disband - they’re still filming their variety show RUN BTS (new episode coming up next week) and are planning to return with a new group album in 2025 or 2026. All 7 members are still very committed to each other. This song and the whole album BE are very important to me, it really gave me a place to process my own emotions during the past 3 covid years (especially mid 2021, when I moved to a new city not knowing anyone, and all my uni classes were online for the whole year, and I was really lonely - though of course the pandemic still isn’t “over” yet, I’ve thankfully managed to make some friends by now). Thanks for your reaction and discussion!
Thank you so much for watching. Yes we are trying to answer comments but its just so much content to look through can be hard to find what direction to go in. We are making a list trying to bounce around and get a little taste of everything. Hopefully you guys enjoy going down this rabbit hole with us! Thank you for watching my friend!
The pandemic was particularly gut wrenching for them bc they have to all enlist by 30 in Korea. So they were literally just about to go on this HUGE tour for Map of the Soul 7, did all this crazy crazy prep, choreo for everything and whatnot. When the pandemic hit it put the world tour off the table for good and they knew that, they were devastated, and it also meant that they wouldn’t be able to have their break to focus on solo projects for very long before they enlisted, and they wanted to enlist before they got “too old,” so that they could be back as a group asap. Like they’d be back by now if that had happened the way it was planned. But instead it’s happening rn and they didn’t get a world tour, and they’ll be back after several of them have turned 30. We as fans don’t care about that, but they do. I think this is them coming to terms with reality and pushing forward despite disappointments or setbacks.
It is funny you mention that, a client of mine, has a friend who is in south korea and ended up telling me a story yesterday of working with them and a lot of other artists in the military. he said they are very nice , high spirited and funny! he said it was a pleasure working with them.
@@MixItUpPodcast they’re definitely one of a kind. The more you react to the more you’ll see their personalities, and you have access to endless content that other artists typically don’t, you really get to know them as people and the dynamics between the members, and their love for their fans. They truly are genuine funny dedicated people, unlike anything I’ve ever seen
70 year old BTS Army here. Usually English CC accessed on screen in your settings is all that is necessary with an official BTS MV. Much easier than hunting down English subs. This song came out during Covid. It debuted at #1 on Billboard's Hot 100. They were still roommates in the management owned dorm. When they first started out, they all slept in one bedroom. These guys don't fight about time on a track. They all get there time to shine. When are you going to react to "A guide to BTS: The 7 Members of Bangtan" by Taylor? You really need to!!!
Yeah these first we were doing were just hit and miss trying to find something different from each other. We know to do that now. Thank You so much for helping us out!
@@MixItUpPodcast I came to check the comments and good that you are going to use Hybe Labels official MVs going forward as I quickly stopped the video after you said you found one with hard coded subs. I really enjoyed your first couple of reactions, and while others are suggesting reacting to intro videos, I suggest learning about them the way most of us did, via their MVs, the lyrics and their own behind the scenes videos which are released as episodes or 'bombs' via their Bangtan TV channel. Their personalities are so adorable. A small correction to Alice's comment above. They were no longer sharing that dorm together at the time this was made but had purchased their own apartments. They have, just this year, fully moved out of that dorm apartment, which is in one of the richest enclaves in Seoul.
"Life goes on" is basically a song that talks about the whole situation with the pandemic and it came out late 2020 as a song to comfort ARMY during those times, after the feel-good "Dynamite" which came out to make ARMY feel better. It's the first korean song to get no. 1 on Billboard and their second ever to do so, after, again, "Dynamite". As you can see in the mv it portrays how empty and dull the world was during the start of the pandemic and at the end it transitions to them singing on a stage in front of no audience, the seats are empty, but ARMY is represented through the army bombs (which are their lighsticks). Also, I'm pretty sure they were living together at that time, and they were getting ready to go on a big world tour right when the restrictions came out so they were pretty bumped about it. And because of the pandemic they got to do a lot of unplanned stuff and songs. That's how Dynamite and BE (their pandemic album of which "Life goes on" is the title track) came to be. They also did some record-breaking online concerts to entertain ARMY and because their performers after all, that's what they love to do, even though it obviously wasn't the same. So they kept going to their company to record songs, do dance practices and livestreams, all for ARMY Edit: Actually they were most likely not living together by that time, although they used to for years
good comment, just one thing : they were not living together by that point for sure. It was known before, but the latest clue is rather recent. Just go listen to RM and Suga talk in Suchwitta, where they ask each other what they did once they found out that their shedules has been canceled in early 2020. If they lived together why would they ask that, they would know it already.
@atlantis315 true, I guess that makes sense. It doesn't really matter though because it's not like they were really spending significantly more time together because they were living together lol
The BE album is really intriguing. it was written during the pandemic when BTS - as so many other artists - were growing increasingly depressed and worried about whether they would be able to see us again. They used BE as an outlet to try to write their way out of it while also cheering us up. There is an amazing progression throughout the album starting with acceptance (Life Goes On), falling into melancholy (Blue & Grey) and ending in expectation and joy (Dynamite). Another favourite of mine from that album is Dis-Ease where they touch on the urge - even desperation - to work and whether that is even a healthy thing (or another disease ). The BTS ARMY (see what I did there 😉) is vast and very active and sometimes it can be hard to discern what is indeed ARMY opinion and what is just personal preferences. Just be curious and respectful and we will respond in kind - people that scream demands at you seem to have forgotten that the core ARMY value is kindness(!). Feel more than free to ignore rude people. Unfortunately, we often experience reactors that are so locked into western stereotypes on masculinity, "boybands" and pop music that they compare BTS to women, call the ARMY children, think they can judge BTS's artistry from 30 seconds of Dynamite or clearly doesn't care about anything but views. As a result, we are very wary of new reactors and rather defensive upfront. Also for many of us, English isn't our first language so our way of writing comments can sometimes come across as harsher than intended. So all in all, please forgive us if we come across a little strong. 😅 I know how too much feedback, not all of it kind, can take a toll on RUclipsrs, so I appreciate you taking it in regardless. Here are some common pitfalls that usually set fire to the comments section: - Missing subtitles. Not caring about a song's message is a red flag to ARMYs. You will probably often hear the reference Doolset lyrics. This is a website dedicated to BTS translations that also include wordplay analysis and cultural references. - Not watching MVs (music videos) from the official channels. Always try Hybe first, then ask if you can't find it. We will help. 💜 - Using lyric videos from bad channels. These channels rip off the music within the hour of a release, use poor translations and/or add long intros/outros to monetize music that isn't theirs. I would especially avoid Jaeguchi. It's not always possible, but then expect that someone might share their opinions on it.😉 - Reacting to a song less than 24 hours after release. While I think so many break that rule now that we can't uphold it, we very much appreciate the reactors who do respect it. It is considered very rude to "steal" views from a song just released.
so the story is... in the very beginning of 2020, jan-feb, bts were actively preparing for the big release: full album Map of The Soul: 7, twenty songs, few music videos, a lot of promotions and the most important: world tour. just as their dream to see army again and perform got close, pandemic hit and everything was canceled in front of their eyes. that brought them a lot of emotional struggle: they are performers, they live for the stage, they breathe with music. here i want to include Jimin's words from one interview: “The past two years have turned out to be almost endless. I’m still young, but for most of my life all I’ve done is perform on stage. I worked really hard because I wanted to be good at it, but suddenly it was taken away from me, and this made me sad. I have limited life experience, and I don’t want to overstate things, but it felt like my whole life’s work was being negated. It was a time of stagnation. The lack of feedback from a live audience was discouraging. I worked hard, but nothing felt quite right, and everything seemed like a rehearsal. It just didn’t feel real. During our recent concerts, I kept thinking, ‘Is this OK? Can I keep on doing this? Is this what we’ve been working toward?’ Of course, I don’t consider an online concert to be a practice session, but it still made me think about these questions.” so they struggled a lot, yet they never accented it until a few years later when the consequences of pandemic started to let go. because they really care about the influence they have on those who love them, so in a face of something that gave everyone a lot of pain and anxiety they wanted to be a safe heaven of soft. they've donated to the organisations that help fight covid and made sure they are active online with posts and live streams and tweets to cheer army up. we still got to see them online all the time, they kept releasing music (as you said dynamite was their first covid release with which they hoped to bring joy to everyone during tough days), shot online performances, did livestreams. they on the other hand had to deal with it on their own, so we tried to show our support as much as we can and that resulted into giving them their first billboard hot100 first place with dynamite, one of many to follow. when at their online concert later that yeat BigHit (label) made a surprise stage with a screen full of army watching it live and singing along, Jimin cried, because he missed this interaction so much and they all were clearly emotional. they all missed seeing us, they talked about it all the time. when people asked them what is their next goal after grammy, they kept saying "we want to see army, we want to tour, that's out dream". that didn't happen for almost two more years so Life Goes On is a tittle track for the BE album released 20th November 2020. just as Dynamite it wasn't a planned release like it usually is, but a reflection on the current state of the world, which is actually the most bts thing. whole album talked about different aspects of dealing with new reality, from burn out and depression to creating a new world inside your room and taking control of what you can to love letters to their fans. that album is a big comfort blanket for me still and i think for a lot of others too the album was completely self produced, and i mean not only the music, but also everything else from project management to photoshoot concepts and clothes and album design. boys distributed the roles and were very actively involved in every little aspect of the album creation. i think they've decided to indulge into it like this because all schedules were canceled anyway so when else could they have had an experience like this. as you see, all of this was also shown to us, they recorded videos about it, went live to discuss what themes is better to tackle in the lyrics, etc. now a little about the mv: it was also taken care of by one of the members, Jungkook, he was an mv director for Life Goes On. the cute group scene on the couch is actually at their dorm, we noticed some same furniture and decorations and what we see during their livestreams 😄 they used to live in a dorm for a lot of years, though now they all have their individual apartments and don't live together anymore. so they've been always spending a lottt of time together, but this year it was a lot of time together plus no touring and more free time. RM (the leader of the group, you can take it similar to a sports team leader) said "we had a lot of time to actually chat, talk & debate about the future, the past and the current situation, just the 7 of us, talked about the company, the people, about the fans, fame. I think this time had given us the present of freezing the moment like a time machine and then just think deeply about the BTS in 2021" / with bts there's always a lot of new music. even if BE was technically the last fully new album of theirs as of now and it was two years ago, they are musicians to the core, so there's always something else on the side going on, either solo projects or collaborations or gift songs for army that they just upload to soundcloud. and when i say a lot, i mean even without an album we surely get more than 20 new songs a year this summer they actually told us that initially they were planning to take a break from group releases after Map Of the Soul: 7 released in 2020 and the world tour that never happened, but when pandemic hit they realised they can't just disappear in such times, so they stayed even if they needed time to regain their inspiration again. finally in 2022 they announced that they will focus on solo projects for now (and then enlist in the military to fulfill their duty as citizens of South Korea). they mentioned that it's a needed step in their career to maintain a healthy dynamic of where the group goes in the future, and they don't want to make empty music just because they are on the top and need to live up to the public's expectations. so they are coming back as a group in 2025. their sweet goodbye for some time was the release of an anthology album in June 2022 and it's tittle track Yet to Come conveys perfectly their promise that they are not done yet. you won't understand the mv since you are not familiar with bts at that level yet, but lyrics will be clear if you read my comment. other two new songs on anthology album but without mvs are Run BTS which is the fire of passion that still burns inside them and For Youth which is the loveliest letter to the fans
I’m a 44 year old army who was literally going crazy raising four kids plus taking care of my husband who had four strokes in a six month span. BTS saved me from loosing my mind. Thank you for the reaction. Looking forward to more.
Most of ARMY has already said what I was thinking so I would just mention that I enjoyed your BTS reactions and look forward to more. They are very versatile and cover a wide variety of genre so there are plenty for good discussions. Thanks for looking into them and have a great trip down the BTS rabbit hole! They are life changing!😄
My 48 year old cousin died from COVID and he had been visiting my auntie, his mother, in AL and he’d given her COVID, but she had been able to get better. I have no doubt that he’d been aware that he’d gotten her sick it would’ve made him feel even sicker. I felt so bad for her because this was right at the beginning of the pandemic and hospitals had PPE shortages and were refusing to let families come and visit. She never got to see him again; could only talk to him on the phone on speaker because he was on a ventilator. The hospital was phenomenal all things considered, but the pandemic has really taken the world for a ride and shook things up. It has revealed how selfish humans can be and how many HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS CHOOSE to be and stay selfish in the face of difficulties and how despite the inspiring moments in movies like Independence Day America will not have such a moment of unity. I truly think even an alien invasion wouldn’t bring us together😢. Sad and amazing to see how so much of the world handled the situation so much better even though they knew they had to wait on American scientists to come up with the vaccines (I was in China visiting family at the time and have since been w/ family in Korea). Everyone was terrified, but managed to stay classy, empathetic, and helpful. The pandemic also showed us that, with humans stepping out of the way for THREE MONTHS (lockdown), the world’s air and water starts to substantially repair itself; we’re the problem. 🥹
You need to watch this song when they did it on the Late Late Show with James Corden. The way they videotaped it, along with Dynamite which is continued from Life Goes On video, shows how much HYBE puts into making these performances. They actually built the sets they needed to videotape it.
@@MixItUpPodcast Trust us when we say we will 100% watch the official MV reaction, the shows reactions (like James Corden etc), the behind the scenes from filming reaction, the dance practices reactions etc. Might be more than what you want to watch, but if you do, we are here for it. Don’t make us resort to lessor reactors just to get our BTS rabbit hole fox in. 😂 I saw you do a lot of rock; maybe try out a favorite band of mine, Band Maids. Girl group from Japan. Live shows are incredible; start with Domination Live. Lovebites are great too, try Holy Wars live. Now, I also love Jessi. Like, a lot. She did a thing called ‘Killing Voice’ where she does a medley of her songs. She was raised in New Jersey/New York until she was 15 before moving to SK for music. She reminds me of Nicki Minaj, but I like her better. Also love Hyolyn, try Dally, Layin’ Low, and No Thanks. Not deep lyrics, but good songs and she’s rather breathtaking. Also try TomBoy by (G) I-dle. Maniac by Stray Kids. Thunderous and Back Door too. I’ll always put BTS first, but I also love a variety of music. I’m 55 guy from Colorado that grew up with 70’s pop, rock, disco before high school in the 80’s with hair bands, Janet Jackson, Michael, LL Cool J, Run DMV and more. I like it all. Daughters had me try BTS and I love them. Not just lyrics and MVs, but the shows like The Rise Of Bangtan where you really, really get to know them. It’s like nothing any of us has even had access to with artists we liked.
The ending of Life Goes On shoots me straight the heart every time. The scene where there is no audience, but the lights represent ARMY. Right after their tour MotS: 7 was just supposed to take off right when COVID started. All during the pandemic, BTS communicated with ARMY their intense ache to be reunited to perform live for us. They tell us everything and are so so open with their feelings. We all mounted the loss of that tour and the album promotions. In Korea when a new album comes out, the group goes on this round of TV show competitions where one group a night wins. And the entire time they went on the shows to an empty audience. 😭💜💜
You know what, i rarely watch reactors talk. But i love the way you 2 discuss the story about the song you watch. It's a literal full reaction towards a song. Not just 'watching' and that's it. Most reactors are like that, just watching then bye. Thanks for being interested, you look genuine. I dont mind long videos. As long as i feel the genuineness. Thanks for this. Will come back for mpre bts reactions. I womt recommend any, i know you have a lot on your plate now 😉 Ps: they prioritize bts over themselves. All the decision making is mainly about the output, if a member has to have the least lines, the go for it as long as the output would be great. There are songs which have unfair line distributions, but they always go for whatvs the best for the group. They kept on deciding for bts as a group and not for individual. That's the commitment they have with eachother. They, again, vocally said that few wks ago, rm and suga had a talk that all 7 of them had discussions before/after their busan concert that they are still on the same page. All 7 of them are still very committed until their comeback on 2025. Pps: at first RM was the only person who is fluent in english. In 9yrs they all took english lessons and now they all have great improvements and can converse with english. They also know japanese, when they go to Japan for tours they can fully converse in japanese. They can also introduce themselves in chinese. Ive seen videos where they talk in chinese, unsure if they can already have a full conversation in chinese. But maybe basics. So it's korean, English, japanese and chinese.
We tend to do more of a podcast. The song gives us the discussion topic and we just free flow to see where it goes. Sometimes it stays in the pocket. Sometimes it goes off on a tangent.
They wrote that whole album when the pandemic happened. They were really blowing up, they've released Map of the Soul : 7 in 2020 and had a whole world tour prepared, then COVID happened and they had to cancel everything they've prepared and worked on. The whole album was just them sharing their thoughts during those hard times when everything was locked down, this was the single. MV was filmed by Jungkook by the way, so it's even more special for them and the fans.
I think they simply know what is important, what works, also how it all works, they say team work make dream work, and thay life by that... Yeah so I saw a lot people talked about it so I will not say again this things. But I will add that they said in interview that sometimes it is like that, that one person have 2 lines and another 8 bc it simply sounds better and fit better one person more then another, bc of voice or vibe or etc... They said that they try be fair but if it is better that way then another, then members are ok with it, bc at the end of the day songs that are at their best is more important then line count. Also I think the older members are very selfless even tho they have their own creative need and wants they also are ok to be a little in back in times, and the younger members lerned it and get it too, so they know that sometimes take step back it good and dosen't change anything. Also they know their strong sides and weaknesses... I will say again they simply see what is important and when you are in band, band is no.1 spot, and when you need a solo things or let go some emotions or things that are more individual, you do it on side and that's totally ok. Also I think one of important things is that they are not jealous of earch other. They see it as asset for band if one member have some more going around... They don't really care about fame. So we as fans also don't compare them, etc. We give them the same amout of support for earch solo work, like for band stuff. Even when we say we have bias in band that dosen't change how we support them it is always the same...
During Covid. They worked harder during that time than anyone as far as I can tell. They did online concerts, streamed live to many shows. They kept a lot of people employed. They streamed live for many reasons and created a lot of content. Millions of people connected with Bts during the pandemic. I really enjoyed their appearances (streamed) on Jimmy Fallon. Thanks for reacting! You’ll find they have many genres and it doesn’t seem weird the way they do it. 💜💜
From what we are hearing, it is super impressive work. While other artists were shut down... they were just giving their all. I have resoect for these artists.
@@MixItUpPodcast Their album: BE was the result of the pandemic, which this song is part of. They were giving us positive vibe and energy during the pandemic because they completely understand what all of us were going through at the time. 💜
We think of this show of more as a podcast with a review at the beginning. The song and artist starts the conversation and sets the mood and we discuss in a evolving flow. We never know where its gonna lead.
@@MixItUpPodcast You can’t even imagine what a breath of fresh air you two are for us Army. So many reactors gloss over a video and leave not knowing anything, not trying to learn anything other than how many subs they got from Army. You’re dissection of the lyrics and videos make us happy. One of us! One of us!! 😂😂
as about the egos, i think they believe that if you want to be respected then respect others first, no one is trying to take the blanket for themselves thus everyone gets a warm place under it. they very much understand that they are in this together. and you will much likely find them hyping each other up for respective parts or solo songs than fighting over the spotlight. instead of calling themselves a band or a group, they call themselves a *team* this is the mentality
10:04 how can they write with so many members? From an interview with BTS and the Grammy Museum (which I HIGHLY recommend checking out, it is one of their best interviews ever. I will put link under this comment): Suga likened BTS' production process to a "year-round song camp," noting that their creative efforts are not just limited to their songs, but expand out to music videos, choreography and style. The group works together to create their lyrics and melodies -- and process feedback from Big Hit boss "Mr. Bang," Bang Si-hyuk -- and said that they consider their production team to be colleagues and equal partners in the ongoing creative process. “If there was a barrier, we wouldn’t be able to make the music we do,” Suga noted. “We all have to do our roles, and we try to work together as much as we can,” J-Hope added. “Our participation in the process makes it more sincere and meaningful.”
This has got to be my all time fav song of theirs. Covid hit and quarantined not being able to just go out let alone perform was driving us and them crazy! I want to tear up when V looks longingly at the concert hall wanting to be there with every fan that can fit. When Jin tells us to close our eyes for a moment, hold his hand to the future and we see them “performing” with the lights in the seats to represent ARMY…I bawl. 😭
The album BE came out in early Fall 2020, and it expressed their frustration with having to cancel a major world tour and being forced to just “be”, in the stasis that Covid caused. It resonated with so many of us ARMY who had already bought tickets to those shows that ended up being canceled!
Funny enough, I just stumbled upon your channel and finished watching your last BTS reaction. I'm intrigued edit: couldn't help but notice you picked a non-official video which has the korean, romanised and english lyrics. It's okay but you should watch the mv's from the official channels (in this case HYBE) so that they can get the views they deserve. Plus there are already pretty accurate english subs on the official channel
Didn't know that. Thank you very much! Also, thank you for watching! This was recorded the same time we did fake love so we didn't know till after we released fake love. Thank you for looking out for us!
Actually they live streamed and vlogged their entire journey of making the BE album to which Life Goes On was the title track. It was their effort to engage more with the fans during the pandemic. I became Army when this song dropped, and was amazed at the level of engagement and content they were doing. They worked so hard to get us through covid, despite them going through a hard time as well..
BE was released 11/20/2020. This is the lead single of that album. The whole album is fantastic. The songs and lyrics really connected with how so many felt at that time. The depression of being locked away. The uncertainty of the future. BTS sing with such emotion its beautiful! Especially Blue & Grey. I can't listen to it very often though😭
k-pop industry is all about live shows and concerts , k-pop groups do world tours more than western artists. bts had their world tour 2020. the plan was release map of the soul 7 album feb/march and follow up with their world to ur for the entire year of 2020. it is what they work towards , their concerts is an integral part of k-pop .. covid forced them to cancel and that put all them into a depression and question whether their careers is over etc . they were trained for live shows . covid changed their normal. they still lived part time together but 2020 yeah they quarantined full time together .
They all have their part in each and every single song and mv. No fighting over who’s more important or gets more lines-the most selfless and talented group on the planet.
The official channels for BTS are hybe labels where the MVs of the artists of the label are posted) and BANGTANTV (usually behind the scenes content, vlogs and etc) In 1theK channel (Korean channel that updates MVs of a lot artists in South Korea) you will find their older MVs there as well
There is not one 'mainsinger'. They are a team with one teamlead, which is RM (mediator with their management). 4 singer, 3 rappers, all are amazing dancers. The rappers also sing. This song 'Life goes on'......BTS was crushed, dumbfounded, confused. The worldwide covid restrictions cancelled out their worldtour. They were ready to go, tickets for Korea and North America were sold out in minutes. And then pouf, 2 years of planning went to hell. The whole world was confined to their homes, I mean the entire covid situation inspired this song. They were making sure to let us (Army) know and to themselves, that everything will be alright. It was released after Dynamite that year. Jungkook, the youngest member, directed this MV.
BTS is the group that paved the way for kpop and introduced it to the whole world. BTS has gone through a lot of difficulties until now and they are a group that deserves the position they are in right now. This song is also very beautiful, it has become a life for us, especially during the time of Covid. I love all of them from BTS, mother, my bias is Suga. ❤❤❤😊😊
Actually, we found out earlier this year that this album, BE, was never supposed to be made. They were going to focus on individual projects after their 2020 world tour. That tour was cancelled and the pandemic messed up their plans. They released 3 English songs, BE, and had online concerts during the pandemic. They interacted with Army via lives very often.
You should always watch the official MVs from their official channel (Hybe channel). They all have English subtitles if you turn on CCs in English. They’re official subs by the label.
There are videos for everything of BTS. You should watch them. It's better than us explaining everything. BTS have videos where they talk about these things.
BE album is really special to me, esp poignant at the time of its release (I believe it’s mostly written by the summer, a couple of months into the pandemic, longer than we thought it was gonna last), many different emotions from being really sad, trying to find comfort in being home and how our lifestyle changed and all. I feel like the album gave a voice to that.
BTS 2020 UN Speech has a lot of reference/ connection to this song. Hope you could react to that too. Found BTS at the start of the pandemic and lockdowns. They were instruments that inspired me and helped me survive everything that I went through during these times. I love them with all my heart. Thank you for continuing to react to their works 💜
@@MixItUpPodcast Thank you! 2020 is their 2nd time to be invited as UN speakers. The 1st one was 2018, 3rd was 2021. In case you want to check them all out💜
Covid actually got pretty bad in South Korea before the US went on lockdown. But South Korea was also very vigilant with their covid protocols. Constant mask wearing, temperature checks, government monitored quarantining, high testing rates, and banning international travel. I mean BTS came to the US in February 2020 to promote their album and they weren't able to come back to the US until September 2021 for when they spoke at the UN after all 7 members were fully vaccinated. And eventually all 7 members did get covid over a period of a few months. 2 members (J-Hope and Jungkook) literally got covid right before they were supposed to perform at the 2022 Grammy Awards. And luckily they both finished their quarantine and tested negative just in time to perform. From my understanding all the members know Japanese but some are better at it than others. Plus they re-record a lot of their songs in Japanese and have original Japanese songs too. RM is the only member fluent in English, but they all know some English and some of them are taking English lessons.
They usually plan for their future albums a way ahead, I mean several years ahead. They think about their BU stories and a theme of an album that is going to follow & connect to the next album. It's amazing how they drop hints for the future album's theme and songs all the time whenever they perform. They show these hints on back drops, stage props, on their clothes or unusual places and we realize all those hints after they release their new album. They think about everything. By the way this whole album, BE, is not one of those planned album. They had time on their hands because of their canceled tour, they decided to make this album on their own with very little help. From scratch to end product like scheduling, designing, even directing & shooting mv, writing.... they worked on this album.
Watch Taylor's "BTS: The Bangtan 7 Member Guides" I think ARMY would really like you guys to react to it because it's really the best and introductory video and you get to know each member and how they are formed, and also learn a little about ARMY. We will be waiting for the videos you post 💜😊 Thank you very much!! Looking forward to more BTS reactions.
Hangeul or Hangul is the Korean alphabet. Many think written Korean is like Chinese or Japanese which use "characters" or pictographs that represent a word or idea. But they have letters just like us. The difference is that instead of writing each letter in a left-to-right string horizontally, a syllable's letters are arranged to form a square or rectangle. So words resembles Chinese characters, but are actually made up of letters. For example you would write MK= 엠케이 or em-keh-i Five = 파이브 or pa-i-beh Studios = 스투디오즈 romanized like this: seu-tu-di-oh-jeh They have no V, F, or Z letters (Z like the final s in studios) in Korean so they use their B (ㅂ) P (ㅍ) and J (ㅈ) as substitutes) "Romanization" is simply Korean words sounded out and written with our alphabet.
Their overall teamwork is simply amazing. They might have a disagreement here & there, but there's no ego. They resolve a lot of things through conflict resolution. If you delve deeper into BTS and understand their journey from the beginning from 2010 until now, you'll get an idea of who they are as Artists and individuals. Check out these 3 solos from their group projects via the rap line: RM: Intro: Persona Suga: Interlude: Shadow JHope: Outro: Ego 😁💜
They lived together mostly but they also owned their own homes for years. J Hope said it was easier to live together for their schedules, but they would go to their own home during off time. But now when they go places it's 6 different cars as RM and Jimin live in the building.
Life goes on was released in late 2020 on their album BE, which mostly has songs for pandemic.(Dynamite is also on the same album) And they always release a lot of music. Almost every year since their debut(2013) they have released at least 2 albums. They were supposed to go a world tour in 2020. They released an album in early 2020 but soon after the pandemic happened and their tour got delayed and eventually got cancelled. Aside from the music, they also released content(their variety show, Run BTS and many performances) during the pandemic so that they could stay connected with their fans. Thank you for the reaction.💜
You guys are adorable and I am glad you did this reaction. I will be 70 in March. I have followed BTS for about 6-7 years. I am an 8th generation white American female. I dont see color or race. My son-in-law is Chinese. My son's girlfriend is transgender. So what? These precious people make my kids happy. My daughter dated a Korean gentleman for 2+ years. He lived in Busan. Same city as Jimin & Jungkook. It is a very large city. My grandchilden are both redheads. Go figure. My daughter is blonde & her hub's hair is as black as night. They produce two redheads? Anyway, I hope you continue to react to BTS.
It is funny you mention hair color. Its joel and My family line has viking, irish, english, Mediterranean, two native american tribes. So i was born with blonde hair and it turned dirty blond, to light brown, to dark brown, to black and if i grew it out now it would be jet black. Its funny both my parent were the same. By the time i hit sixty it will be jet black and grey and white by the time im 80. The mix of colors and array of our genetics makes for a beautiful tapestry throughout the world. Wish more people who feel hate could realize that. We are all in the same boat it is a beautiful life!
love the reaction 💜. for a full music video reaction. watch the music video, behind the scenes/making of the music video alongside the live performance and Dance practice. all together 😅. Borahae! 💜
I think the video that would answer your questions the best would be - The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2022 Update) by Rice Squad. This video shows a variety of their music, albums and how they came to together and covers some of the things they did during the pandemic.
@@fepacheco1963 Agree that I think that is the best one overall, especially in relation to Jin and Jimin joining the group. It's just a pity with the monetisation/paid ad during it. I can understand content creators do need to pay the bills to create things like this, but that particular paid advert is a bit on the nose.
Fun fact - the black and white section at the end was filmed after they had just done an online concert in that venue (the first night performance). So they had just performed for 2 and half hours and then instead of going home to rest before coming back to perform again the next night, they recorded that section of the music video and only then did they go home. We only realised once we watched the MV as we recognised the venue with the ARMY bombs on the seats in the background representing ARMY who couldn't be there in person.
fyi, romanization is the phonetic spelling of foreign words using the roman alphabet, aka the english alphabet. e.g., the romanized spelling of 방탄소년단 is bangtan sonyeondan.
I think they had their own places but they still had a shared dorm. They were extremely active during the pandemic so they saw each other a lot. They kept putting out content to keep us occupied. This was in the later half of 2020 but still deep in the midst of the pandemic. They actually put out a whole album (which Life Goes On was included in as the title track) reflecting the feelings that they & many others were feeling during the pandemic. Highly recommend those songs too!
Yes they were together at the time and they did pre recorded performances for Jimmy Fallon (I believe) and James Cordon(I believe) and their performance on award shows were pre recorded. When they did their performance at the Grammys with Butter-several members had just recovered from Covid.
Bts had online concert during pandemic sold out 1.33 milj tickets. In the end off 2022 the have a free concert for 100 000 armys in busan, plus a couple off thousand Armys watch on the beach closr to the Arenan and about 50 milj Armys watch the concert for free online
"Life goes on" was no.1 on billbroad top 10. It's the first song not in english to reach no.1 when it came out. Jungkook BTS member, directed this music video💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Just a reminder, BANGTANTV is BTS' official RUclips channel. All their MVs can be found there - just press cc for the official English subtitles; or go to the RUclips channels 1theK, or Enjoy BTS More; both channels have accurate subtitles. Also on BANGTANTV you will find concert footage, behind the scenes footage, and Run BTS episodes (their variety show). In fact, pretty much anything BTS CA be found there. Thank you for reacting to BTS. Just be warned, the further you get into, the deeper you will be invested. 💜
May I suggest that you watch Life goes on & Dynamite on the Late Late Show with James Cordon. BTS did that video during the pandemic and they recreated James Cordons set because they couldn’t go there! It was great 😊
This song was written at the beginning of the pandemic. Such a sad and emotional time for everyone. The boys were thrown off finding out that they had to cancel their tour and stop performing. This song was written to help them through their struggles yet give strength to everyone at the same time. It was the only thing they can do to comfort their fans during trying times. Eventually they came out with Dynamite as a song to help cheer everyone up during these times, with nothing planned, they just did what they felt was true to themselves as artist and to their fans. In honesty, if you go back but not to the beginning of the pandemic but the start of the lock downs and true realization of what we were all facing with the virus. It was not only a scary time, but a time of confusion, loss, uncertainty and life changing times that no one would have ever expected. To make it worse, the world totally changed and we were all on lock down for so long... such scary times. I'm so glad that we have some people out in the world who can give some comfort to others who are going through hard times.. I feel that other artists or famous people should do. They have the platform to reach out to others to comfort them, give others a voice and try to make changes...
It was released during covid. The whole BE album was done during the pandemic and all the songs there were because of that Dynamite is also in that album. There is a series of behind the scenes for the making of that album and the music videos too
Wonderful song. Won't repeat what other Army have said, just have a request. Could you make the insert for the MV a lot bigger so we can watch as well? It's so tiny it's difficult to read the subs although we've seen it many times there should be newbies who would appreciate being able to see it too. Thanks guys!
Dynamite was actually released before life goes on. They did their only three English language songs during the pandemic to lift people's spirits that's why these songs are more poppy different than their usual content.
6:10 we don’t know the exact time when they stoped living together. However for a couple years before this we knew some of them had their own apartments for their own privacy and use but they also had a place where they all lived together (especially when they are busy). We also know that they lived together, some 10+ years. For example; RM and Suga were the first into Bighit/BTS in 2010, they lived together then. However they slowly added other members. (In SK it is normal to pay for apartments or dorms to their trainees/idols and then later the idols have to pay them back, type thing). We are fairly certain that they still were living together at the time. (They are open to us about a lot of things, so for us it is okay that they have some privacy) 7:00 Dynamite was released August 21, 2020 Life Goes On was released November 20, 2020 The whole BE album was released November 20, 2020 7:03 did it increase or not? Well I would say either the same amount or more. They did the BE album which they didn’t plan on doing, then Butter, Film Out (Japanese song), Permission to Dance, My Universe (with Coldplay), performed a lot of performances like Tiny Desk Home Concert, TVUNPLUGGED, Grammy concerts, online concerts, late night tv shows, etc, Proof Album (anthology album), OST songs were released by different members, two solo albums were released, Jin released a see you later song, because he is in military now, etc, etc. etc….idk really how to measure it because they have always had a lot of content (plus this between Dynamite and Butter was when I came ARMY, so I could be wrong)
BTS actually pretty much helped build Hybe (their entertainment company etc who now owns the management company of Bieber Grande etc) so they had access to a brand new building where most of the members, especially the producers have their own rooms to do what they please as well as dance studios. During the pandemic, they pretty much broke world records of paid viewers to an online concerts. They usually do a "vacation show" once a year but since it was pandemic, they did a staycation where they rented a little compound in the forest for them to just do whatever they want. We got to see them cook, sing, read, write and produce, drink, filet a fish, row a boat, go fishing, put together a remote control car, paint etc. They really know how to open to up us ARMYs. I am excited to see what other BTS content you're going to explore. I hope it'll be a good stream of content. thanks in advance. Also please fix your hashtag for jhope in the future. thanks
I was going through a deep depression and this song helped cheer me up alot during and after the pandemic and I'm a big Slipknot and Slayer fan. BTS is sort of like therapy for me.
That is amazing! The myriad of music that exists in this world is immense. Finding things that you resonate is what art is all about! Thank you for watching!
COVID! They had a world tour canceled, guest spots on variety shows canceled, and all music shows canceled. The lyrics say that one day everything stopped. They wanted to give strength to their fans: life goes on.
You guys should definitely react to the different fan-made guides about BTS. 😊They'll put you on many informations about the group, the members, how they work, some contexts... and everything basically. Because above learning about their group history, these guides make you understand their music a lot more in some way. I guess learning about the background of each member, their background as a group and the way they work for their craft, makes you understand the music (and the artistry) in a much more complete way. The most complete (and amazingly made) guide is : " A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 " (by Taylor) Hope you'll react to it, enjoy the journey !
They usually release the official MV very close to the release of the song - it's right at the beginning of the MV - 2020.11.09 (Nov. 9th, 2020). So this was well into the pandemic but the end wasn't quite in sight yet. Like everyone else, I urge you to watch (whether you react or not) the guide by Taylor Mari, accurate as of May 2022.
I am extremely happy that you are taking the time to get to know my loves a little more. And I am really enjoying your reactions. I purple you! 💜 If you can react to 'Mic Drop' 'Outro: Tear'...I hope you like it...and a new writing here on your channel.
I believe this was the first song they made after COVID hit mid to late 2020. They released their map of the soul seven album is February 2020 they were supposed to start a world tour in March of 2020 COVID shut the world down in March of 2020.
I think these subs are better, since we can't really trust the original mv's to have them BUT... lately things have gotten easier & im pretty sure most videos have CC's sooo idk Anyways thanks for the reaction, you guys are honest & chill also if the lyrics can help change your perspective of life_they always do for me/especially their slower paced music_ what more could we ask for? Loll💜💜💜😊✌ 5:13 also tes, covid lol i responded out loud at the same time he did 😂
It looks like your answers were pretty much answered, but one cool thing about this song is that one of the members (Jungkook) directed the MV. He has a bunch of video edits he’s done under the title of Golden Closet Films that are pretty cool and some of the footage in the MV is kind of in that style. Also, another song from the album “Be”, (which is where this song is from) called Blue & Grey definitely gives you more of an idea of how depressed they were about not being able to perform during the pandemic. It’s a beautiful song (mainly written by V, with the rap parts written by Suga). It was initially just music and written fully in English by V for his mixtape, but when the rest of the guys heard it, they decided they wanted to add it to the album and V rewrote most of it in Korean.
The MVs have subtitles on the down right (CC). Only a few of the first MVs are without subtitltes. The channel 1theK is good for that (it counts usually as official) If you chose to react to "Fire" I'd use this channel, too. The official MV has a serious miss-translation. I promise that those are real translations (sometimes clumsy but real) and not auto-translate (shudder). I think Covid was treated in the USA very differently than in the rest of the world (like my corner) or South Korea. The rest of the world treated it pretty seriously. We left the house as little as possible till summer at least and the endless feeling was back by fall/end of fall. At that point I think they were still mostly living in their luxury dorm but were on the verge (all of them) to move out/had already bought partially their own homes. The MV was actually filmed in their dorm (that are J-Hope's & Jimin's beds or were) Suga called the creation process for their music a year round songcamp between them, in house-producer (and later some from outside) which includes the big boss Mr. Bang. The members chose who gets what - well the rapline usually writes at least their own verses - and how much. Over the years it got more balanced. It's not perfect but it is what they chose. They stayed in contact with the fanbase and made Online-concerts (with a few fans had a live-conection/their livestream to be seen in the back). BTS actually grew during the pandemic becoming the best selling artist globally in 2020 and 2021. They also broke a few records and made quiet a bit of music - even if the amount of albums was limited. You nice! Keep going! and thank you for your reaction!
Hello if you want to find out about the group as a whole while also finding out about some really great songs I would recommend watching a guide to Bangtan 7 by Taylor her video is like 45 minutes long but us armies are willing to watch it's the best introduction video for BTS.
Hi! I enjoyed your reaction. Their official MV have pretty good translations except for their old ones which you can find translations on the RUclips channel 1thek. For other songs with no MVs Enjoy BTS More has great translations.
They live together before they debuted in 2013 from about 2010 to June of 2022 all seven members lived in the same house, they are brothers from different families. In June of 2022 their contract for the house with HYBE labels corporation formerly known as big hit entertainment ended. The entertainment corporation was no longer paying for they're very expensive luxury apartment. This place costs several million in rent. Yes, they lived together during COVID because they were doing online concerts still filming music videos still doing better variety show and their annual specials. Still doing remote performances for award shows like everybody else was. So, they had to be together all the time or else they wouldn't have been able to do all the content together. Haven't you watched a documentary about them yet. There are a lot of documentary videos made by different people and organizations about BTS.
At that time they were still living together, and they were so frustating because covid came when they were just releasing their new album called 7 and their world tour was all canceled...so they were releasing new album called BE and they wrote all of their thought during the pandemic, "life goes on " was one of the song in BE album
Thank you for letting us know! We were curious about what the situation was. You are amazing, thank you again.
@@MixItUpPodcast you're welcome...thx for your reaction..i love it❤️
Its so nice when they reply and we know they listen….😊
The album they were gonna go on tour before covid for is 'Map of the Soul 7'
Yeah, this time sucked. Had to postpone my wedding, and my pre-honeymoon trip was to see them. Had our tickets and everything. But we all got through it 🥰
Bts were the most active artists during the pandemic.
That sounds about right! Guys know how to work!
So they kept going to their company to record songs, do dance practices and livestreams, all for ARMY
Edit: Actually they were most likely not living together by that time, although they used to for years
Thank you for the history. Joel was curious about it. Also, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to watch us. We appreciate it!
@@MixItUpPodcast it's no problem, I enjoy your guys' vibe, I just subscribed!
good comment,
just one thing : they were not living together by that point for sure.
Life Goes On was their 3rd number 1 song. Savage Love BTS remix was their 2nd.
Here are some common pitfalls that usually set fire to the comments section:
- Missing subtitles.
- Using lyric videos from bad channels. These channels rip off the music within the hour of a release, use poor translations and/or add long intros/outros to monetize music that isn't theirs. I would especially avoid Jaeguchi. It's not always possible, but then expect that someone might share their opinions on it.😉
- Reacting to a song less than 24 hours after release.
Is this what we’ve been working toward?’ Of course, I don’t consider an online concert to be a practice session, but it still made me think about these questions.”
so they struggled a lot, yet they never accented it until a few years later when the consequences of pandemic started to let go. because they really care about the influence they have on those who love them, so in a face of something that gave everyone a lot of pain and anxiety they wanted to be a safe heaven of soft. they've donated to the organisations that help fight covid and made sure they are active online with posts and live streams and tweets to cheer army up. we still got to see them online all the time, they kept releasing music (as you said dynamite was their first covid release with which they hoped to bring joy to everyone during tough days), shot online performances, did livestreams. they on the other hand had to deal with it on their own, so we tried to show our support as much as we can and that resulted into giving them their first billboard hot100 first place with dynamite, one of many to follow. when at their online concert later that yeat BigHit (label) made a surprise stage with a screen full of army watching it live and singing along, Jimin cried, because he missed this interaction so much and they all were clearly emotional. they all missed seeing us, they talked about it all the time. when people asked them what is their next goal after grammy, they kept saying "we want to see army, we want to tour, that's out dream". that didn't happen for almost two more years
so Life Goes On is a tittle track for the BE album released 20th November 2020. just as Dynamite it wasn't a planned release like it usually is, but a reflection on the current state of the world, which is actually the most bts thing. whole album talked about different aspects of dealing with new reality, from burn out and depression to creating a new world inside your room and taking control of what you can to love letters to their fans. that album is a big comfort blanket for me still and i think for a lot of others too
the album was completely self produced, and i mean not only the music, but also everything else from project management to photoshoot concepts and clothes and album design. boys distributed the roles and were very actively involved in every little aspect of the album creation. i think they've decided to indulge into it like this because all schedules were canceled anyway so when else could they have had an experience like this. as you see, all of this was also shown to us, they recorded videos about it, went live to discuss what themes is better to tackle in the lyrics, etc.
now a little about the mv: it was also taken care of by one of the members, Jungkook, he was an mv director for Life Goes On. the cute group scene on the couch is actually at their dorm, we noticed some same furniture and decorations and what we see during their livestreams 😄 they used to live in a dorm for a lot of years, though now they all have their individual apartments and don't live together anymore. so they've been always spending a lottt of time together, but this year it was a lot of time together plus no touring and more free time. RM (the leader of the group, you can take it similar to a sports team leader) said "we had a lot of time to actually chat, talk & debate about the future, the past and the current situation, just the 7 of us, talked about the company, the people, about the fans, fame. I think this time had given us the present of freezing the moment like a time machine and then just think deeply about the BTS in 2021"
/
with bts there's always a lot of new music. even if BE was technically the last fully new album of theirs as of now and it was two years ago, they are musicians to the core, so there's always something else on the side going on, either solo projects or collaborations or gift songs for army that they just upload to soundcloud. and when i say a lot, i mean even without an album we surely get more than 20 new songs a year
this summer they actually told us that initially they were planning to take a break from group releases after Map Of the Soul: 7 released in 2020 and the world tour that never happened, but when pandemic hit they realised they can't just disappear in such times, so they stayed even if they needed time to regain their inspiration again. finally in 2022 they announced that they will focus on solo projects for now (and then enlist in the military to fulfill their duty as citizens of South Korea). they mentioned that it's a needed step in their career to maintain a healthy dynamic of where the group goes in the future, and they don't want to make empty music just because they are on the top and need to live up to the public's expectations. so they are coming back as a group in 2025. their sweet goodbye for some time was the release of an anthology album in June 2022 and it's tittle track Yet to Come conveys perfectly their promise that they are not done yet. you won't understand the mv since you are not familiar with bts at that level yet, but lyrics will be clear if you read my comment. other two new songs on anthology album but without mvs are Run BTS which is the fire of passion that still burns inside them and For Youth which is the loveliest letter to the fans
Thank you for your wonderful insight. I purple you💜💜💜💜💜💜
I’m a 44 year old army who was literally going crazy raising four kids plus taking care of my husband who had four strokes in a six month span. BTS saved me from loosing my mind. Thank you for the reaction. Looking forward to more.
The saying is "BTS finds you just when you need them most." I am so glad you found each other.
Glad to do this with you! Thank you for watching!
We heard about that a few comments back we will add it to our personal see list. Thank you so much for watching!!!
I saw you do a lot of rock; maybe try out a favorite band of mine, Band Maids.
It was masterfully made. I love how much BTS cares about it's Army and Vice Versa! You guys really do care about the imprint you leave on each other!
@@MixItUpPodcast almost any ARMY will tell you their story of how BTS saved their life. Its a cycle of love!
BTS worked so hard during the pandemic. Not only did they release an album and 3 singles, they also held couple online concerts.
I womt recommend any, i know you have a lot on your plate now 😉
Ps: they prioritize bts over themselves.
I agree its more of a family in that way. Thats how groups can evolve, learn and grow together. Great assessment!
I actually like the talk you guys have after reacting to their videos. BTS songs are always awesome conversation-starters.
One of us!
One of us!! 😂😂
as about the egos, i think they believe that if you want to be respected then respect others first, no one is trying to take the blanket for themselves thus everyone gets a warm place under it. they very much understand that they are in this together. and you will much likely find them hyping each other up for respective parts or solo songs than fighting over the spotlight. instead of calling themselves a band or a group, they call themselves a *team*
this is the mentality
10:04 how can they write with so many members? From an interview with BTS and the Grammy Museum (which I HIGHLY recommend checking out, it is one of their best interviews ever. I will put link under this comment):
Suga likened BTS' production process to a "year-round song camp," noting that their creative efforts are not just limited to their songs, but expand out to music videos, choreography and style.
You could watch the MV from their RUclips channel. They have the subs there. Romanization is if you want to sing it and you cant read Korean.
On their official videos at the beginning, you will see in the lower left hand corner the date the song/mv was released in year-month-day format.
I find it entertaining when you're having a discussion that turns into a debate because Joel doesn't want to lose LMAO
Right? Lol, being friends for so many years, we just love to mess with each other. We are passionate when it comes to conversation.
Funny enough, I just stumbled upon your channel and finished watching your last BTS reaction. I'm intrigued
edit: couldn't help but notice you picked a non-official video which has the korean, romanised and english lyrics.
@@MixItUpPodcast no problem again, ARMY always got us if you need anything
Actually they live streamed and vlogged their entire journey of making the BE album to which Life Goes On was the title track. It was their effort to engage more with the fans during the pandemic. I became Army when this song dropped, and was amazed at the level of engagement and content they were doing. They worked so hard to get us through covid, despite them going through a hard time as well..
Their whole BE Album was about the pandemic, please react to the album
The official channels for BTS are hybe labels where the MVs of the artists of the label are posted) and BANGTANTV (usually behind the scenes content, vlogs and etc)
In 1theK channel (Korean channel that updates MVs of a lot artists in South Korea) you will find their older MVs there as well
There is not one 'mainsinger'.
Aich knows now. Army taught him well.
We just recorded and watched some videos of that. It is amazing how dedicated they are to their fan base!
You should always watch the official MVs from their official channel (Hybe channel). They all have English subtitles if you turn on CCs in English. They’re official subs by the label.
There are videos for everything of BTS. You should watch them. It's better than us explaining everything.
BTS have videos where they talk about these things.
We know there is just so much, and we like having a conversation with Army!
That is the first time someone has requested something so unique. I think we shall do that maybe next week on the next recording day! Thanks
@@MixItUpPodcast Thank you! 2020 is their 2nd time to be invited as UN speakers. The 1st one was 2018, 3rd was 2021. In case you want to check them all out💜
weve got the 2018 and the 2021. we cant seem to find the 2020 one.
We got sent a link so that is next on shoot day! Awesome. Excited to see.
For example you would write
MK= 엠케이 or em-keh-i
Five = 파이브 or pa-i-beh
Studios = 스투디오즈 romanized like this: seu-tu-di-oh-jeh
They have no V, F, or Z letters (Z like the final s in studios) in Korean so they use their B (ㅂ) P (ㅍ) and J (ㅈ) as substitutes)
"Romanization" is simply Korean words sounded out and written with our alphabet.
Check out these 3 solos from their group projects via the rap line:
RM: Intro: Persona
Suga: Interlude: Shadow
JHope: Outro: Ego
😁💜
I knew ARMY will already answer your questions. 💜 dropping this for the youtube algo. Hoping to see more BTS reactions

I think the video that would answer your questions the best would be - The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2022 Update) by Rice Squad. This video shows a variety of their music, albums and how they came to together and covers some of the things they did during the pandemic.
It’s the best intro for me too
@@fepacheco1963 Agree that I think that is the best one overall, especially in relation to Jin and Jimin joining the group. It's just a pity with the monetisation/paid ad during it. I can understand content creators do need to pay the bills to create things like this, but that particular paid advert is a bit on the nose.
Listen to their rap songs..so good!
That video window is the tiniest thing ive seen yet
fyi, romanization is the phonetic spelling of foreign words using the roman alphabet, aka the english alphabet. e.g., the romanized spelling of 방탄소년단 is bangtan sonyeondan.
Thank you so much for that. I was sitting there like "whaaaaaaat?" I had not heard that term used like that before. Thank you also for watching!
Jimin's voice will be my favorite forever

The youngest BTS member Jungkook directed this Mvideo.
It was released during covid.
The whole BE album was done during the pandemic and all the songs there were because of that
Dynamite is also in that album.
Thank you for your reaction! It's also very interesting to hear your stories, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for taking the time out to watch little old us!
(They are open to us about a lot of things, so for us it is okay that they have some privacy)
7:00 Dynamite was released August 21, 2020
Life Goes On was released November 20, 2020
The whole BE album was released November 20, 2020
7:03 did it increase or not?
Also please fix your hashtag for jhope in the future. thanks
They released their album BE during the pandemic. Nearly all of the tracks including this one are a response to the pandemic and mental health.
This song has a special place in my heart 💜
BTW Jungkook the youngest member of BTS directed this MV. ☺💜
I binged watch all their content after seeing them drop Dynamite
This was written during the beginning of the pandemic - the music video was directed by Jungkook the lead vocalist of the group.
You should find the release date on the video on the title of the video also how many views it's had!
Important to use official MV's good subs and less likely to get strikes. But great reaction again!
They lived together til last year
The most complete (and amazingly made) guide is : " A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 " (by Taylor)
Hope you'll react to it, enjoy the journey !
Just watch the official MVs next time if you plan on doing a reaction. There’s 90% always subtitles.
If you can react to 'Mic Drop' 'Outro: Tear'...I hope you like it...and a new writing here on your channel.
I believe this was the first song they made after COVID hit mid to late 2020. They released their map of the soul seven album is February 2020 they were supposed to start a world tour in March of 2020 COVID shut the world down in March of 2020.
I really liked your reaction and your whole discussion afterwards. Just subscribed!
I think these subs are better, since we can't really trust the original mv's to have them BUT... lately things have gotten easier & im pretty sure most videos have CC's sooo idk
Anyways thanks for the reaction, you guys are honest & chill also if the lyrics can help change your perspective of life_they always do for me/especially their slower paced music_ what more could we ask for? Loll💜💜💜😊✌
5:13 also tes, covid lol i responded out loud at the same time he did 😂
For something different try airplane part 2, Fire, Black Swan and ON: Kinetic Manifesto Film.💜
November 2020 it was released
Thank you for the clarification. Army is a huge help thank you!
I discovered BTS during the pandemic .
The MVs have subtitles on the down right (CC).
Only a few of the first MVs are without subtitltes. The channel 1theK is good for that (it counts usually as official)
If you chose to react to "Fire" I'd use this channel, too.
The MV was actually filmed in their dorm (that are J-Hope's & Jimin's beds or were)
Suga called the creation process for their music a year round songcamp between them, in house-producer (and later some from outside) which includes the big boss Mr.
Please critique mic drop mv n live at Busan. Definitely love your speaking voice
Hi! I enjoyed your reaction. Their official MV have pretty good translations except for their old ones which you can find translations on the RUclips channel 1thek. For other songs with no MVs Enjoy BTS More has great translations.
Nice reactions guys can you react bts "so what " live plz is amazing and you welcome in to the Armys💜
we are adding to the list. Thanks so much for watching!
@@MixItUpPodcast your welcome🥰💜
