Cake Decorating: Reusable CompsiMold-FC to Make Your Own Cake Decorating and Candy Making Molds Хобби
That is awesome! It would be a great product to make buttons...brooches for my cakes. Love it. Thanks for sharing. I will look in your online store or some to order.
I would love that!
I have used this product and I have had great success with it. Unfortunately I threw out the original container and instructions so my question is, what is the melting temperature? If I freeze the mold would I be able to pour isomalt in it?
I want to make a 3D edible ring silicone mold.can you please explain how?
It was not for me I bought 2 big container. It ruins all my work and the mold breaks into pieces.
I am finding my molded pieces come out wet.. even when I lightly dust the actual mold with cornstarch it still comes out wet. any ideas on how to stop this? thanks
+Kim Streak If you are refrigerating or freezing the candy in the mold before removing from the mold, the moisture is most likely condensation from the cold candy hitting the warm/moist air.
Hi. I don't do either 😦
+Kim Streak Then if you are not adding anything to the mold (vegetable oil, solid, liquid or spray), it must be the candy itself.
+CakeSuppliesPlus I use fondant or gumpaste like I was told to. maybe I'll try candy melts next time. thank you
+Kim Streak We use fondant/gum paste with molds a lot and only have this problem when we freeze them before unmolding (almost always freeze to prevent deformation when unmolding). Since you don't cool yours though, you could just try a different brand/type of fondant/gum paste and see if that gives you better results.
So they don't last forever?
Not if you use this product to make the mold. The mold is reusable several times though. You can use food-grade silicone to make a more permanent candy mold for molds you'll use a lot.
So I guess after reusing melting this product over and over it will stop working?
