Another, argued fiercely, claiming it is cruel to force someone to live when they were in pain or had low quality of life. Quality of life or pain according to the patient? or another person ? who simply believes it is according to what they believe it ‘should be’ for the patient or individual. One person who was in 24 hour care with a brain injury after surviving brain cancer and other things, appeared to me as wonderful and strong to maintain life in such adversity. To me their desire to live was immensely strong because they continued to live through substantial adversity and never gave up life. Yet to another, that person had low quality of life which they claimed fiercely was a cruelty to keep them alive. The patient was living happily with a brain injury and with care, their lifestyle was different to what might be considered normal or perhaps privileged. They had a sweetheart there as well. This ‘other’ person made the claim this patients life was not of value for life, which I think is a shocking and terrible potential outcome for someone not able to defend themselves should another decide to have their life ended. And then name the process some type of kindness - like putting an animal to sleep to avoid prolonging their life. Which person decides the outcome the patient or someone else.

Elderly people are SO valuable. They have wisdom and usually offer love and support. The belief that they are somehow a burden to society makes me sick. It was an honor to care for my Mother until the end and I miss her every single day of my life.
@@AA3Anon at the age of 92 my father had a very severe case of aortic stenosis. As a result, he was pretty much chair, bound, any activity was exhausting. We went to see a cardiologist who gave him a very thorough work up. He explained that at the age of 92 age traditional open heart approach to replace the aortic valve would be much too risky instead we were offered a new procedure in which the valve is replaced by going through the groin. We talked this over, as a family, and my dad decided to have this done. The procedure went amazingly well and it gave him back a good 50% or more of his energy, the medical team could not have done more for my dad, the care was amazing. This took place in a Canadian hospital in the province of British Columbia, under a socialized medical program. This is not a unique one off or anecdotal this is common place. This video has wound people into a frenzy as it is based in misinformation. I strongly urge people to take five minutes and search out, Kelsi Sharen maid misinformation on Google and see a rebuttal from a very well established anesthesiologist. My Mother went to hospital in 2023. She was 91. She had gall stones and needed surgery to fix that problem. I had power of Attorney so they called me. They wanted to give her MAID instead of surgery. I said NO. Then in late 2024 she went to a different hospital not feeling well. The Doctor called me and wanted to give her MAID. I asked what was wrong with her. He said they didn’t know they didn’t think it was worthwhile doing any tests. I insisted they do tests. He called me the next morning and she had a bladder infection. They still wanted to do MAID. I again said no and they kept her there for three days giving her antibiotics. A different doctor called me everyday and tried to convince me to let them do Maid. I was so disgusted.
I drowned when I was a teen. It is agony, let me tell you. The last few seconds, you stop caring and black out. I was rescued before there was brain damage. I remember it with crystal clarity. I'd rather face a firing squad than drown again. It's no wonder the government does not want that information to get out. It's not misguided, it's just plain evil.

My father was dying of cancer two years ago and had asked for MAID. I was morally against it, but didn't have a choice but to accept his decision. The morning of the procedure the phone rang at 5 am: my father had just died at the hospital, three hours before the procedure was scheduled. What it was like for a petite, disabled Senior having an alarming reaction to a new med was treated. Starting with the doctor who prescribed a ludicrous med who mustn’t have checked my file of meds, next to the local SDM pharmacist who supposedly has one’s file in front of him & as advertised by SDM supposedly checks your file as a safeguard to you, to the arrival at CMH which turned out to be one of DANTES’ levels of hell where I was left with 3 people who ignored me…ignored my basic needs of a commode until it was too late. Who, after 3 hours being left in filth, turned out to NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! I found out by taking one of them by the hand & looking in her face & trying to talk to her! No doctor came by until after 3 hours when I had been admitted due to a really bad reaction to a new med. Why? What if it was damaging organs? Why was I treated like scum? It was because the very first line written about what the drug is used for says it is a drug for alcoholics & drug addicted! What was it prescribed to me for? A DERMATOLOGIST in Hamilton gave it to me for a rare scalp autoimmune disease that I have been suffering from for over 4 YEARS! A disease that started during the first week of COVID lockdowns. The other part of this nightmare scenario & why I think that the next doctor was a nasty little harridan to me, was that NO ONE BELIEVED ME that I wasn’t an alcoholic or drug addict. In conclusion, I was failed by the first doctor, failed by the pharmacist, abandoned in a freezing cold room with no call bell to ask for a warm blanket (I’ve been in Emerg many times & the Canadian nurses will gladly get you a heated blanket as well as a commode or they help you to the washroom, a basin if you need to vomit) or any of the other things I needed if I’d been in a proper caring hospital. I forgot that they didn’t bring me a basin to vomit in either. NOTE: I have severe spinal stenosis. I cannot walk without my walker. My walker wasn’t there. I was trapped. Trapped with 3 young women who I thought were nurses or nursing assistants but turned out to be as useful as donkeys because they could not speak or understand the official language of our country. Then to have an even more useless, nasty female doctor who forgot her vow to “do no harm”. Are murderers in our prisons treated with better care & respect? It makes me wonder. Then, after pouring out my whole experience as an example of poor care from the medical establishment right down the line & as a warning to people…what response do I get from another reviewer? “Why doesn’t your daughter take care of you?” Well, my daughter’s psychic abilities did not alert her to the first doctor making the mistake nor the arrogant pharmacist slacking off on his job, nor to a hospital that would be so incredibly stupid as to abandoning a helpless patient in distress to 3 individuals who could not speak or understand our CANADIAN language! They might as well have been donkeys. And the female who responded to my experience misses the ENTIRE FRIGGING POINT!! My daughter was away. That wasn’t the frigging point! Wow. I personal knew many people with SEVERE Traumatic Head Injuries that couldn't hold their heads up, that were drooling in wheelchairs and couldn't speak and today are mobile or speaking up a storm in self-sufficient. One woman eventually learn to drive again lives in independently and speaks at toastmasters. Another was somebody that through love and support, went back to college and got a master's degree in psychology!! It was a long SLOW process add various ages, but I saw it with my own eyes! It can be learning the alphabet all over again as an adult, but you use the same building blocks to walk and talk and keep going!! It's those that aren't giving therapy consistently that don't continue to get better they have to never give up!! Always improving on each step even for years.

It is never the doctor… It is some nurse. Or some helpful person in the system. They think they are being helpful. They are angels of death… But they are psychotic. There are tons of them. I was told it was only a “chocolate drink”. A nurse actually told me it was delicious chocolate drink. I am blind from a brain tumor. Inoperable. I had a stroke 20 years ago I’ve been disabled for 20 years. But I have a good life. My son is now 30 years old. I have inherited some money, and I’ve been able to get some adaptive equipment so that I can communicate with other people even though I am now blind from the tumor. I was told to kill myself because I might go blind… But actually, I love being blind. It’s a lot better than being dead. In the videos, they have a nun take the drink… They use a nun. Thank you for talking about this. You can have a good life. I was disabled for over 20 years, I am now technically completely blind… But my life is very good. Exceptionally good. Pretty funny how they had to go out of their way to call it "MAID" instead of "MAD" Medically Assisted Dying" while technically it's "MAM" Medically Assisted Murder.
This video is extremely hard for me to watch. My parents lived in the Netherlands, and in the Netherlands Euthanasia is legal. My father became wheelchair bound and had to go to a nursing home. As soon as he got there, he said he wanted to get euthanized. It is legal under circumstances of terminal illness, and if you are a senior and are in a situation where you will not get better. My father was 89, and besides being in a wheelchair there was nothing wrong with him. My father was euthanized Jan 3rd 2020. They might aswel have given it to my mother his wife of 60 years as well because that's the day she stopped living. My mother died on June 15 2021. Euthanasia is a pretty word for ASSISTED SUICIDE. You grieve over it like you would a suicide. My mother lived the rest of her life wondering why my father didn't love her enough to go on living. It was heartbreaking.

I still don’t have the answers to the many questions about my healthy 40yo, who died in an Eastern European country, I’m in the uk. I can’t ask my daughter in law, and I have no death certificate. This was triggering to me also, but also very shocking.
My 95 year old mother fell and was hospitalised. The doctor told her she would never be independent again which she had been until then! Today 10 months later my mother is back to her old self and living independently again.( She has been doing so now already for 6 months!!) How evil was that doctor when we know that just a negative attitude can stop the recovery! They just don't want any old people, and basically just no humans anymore. Transhumanisme is their aim!

What physicians? You should report them to their governing colleges. In Ontario it’s CPSO. HCP’s are forbidden to approach patients with MAID… they are only allowed to provide the information if the patient themselves ask for it…. they need to be reported

In 2019 I reported a doctor for murdering my mother by stealth euthanasia, after I had ordered the medical records which a retired healthcare worker reviewed for me. The records showed that on a Friday morning a deadly concoction of midazolam and hydromorphone had been prescribed by the hospice doctor which was administered some 9 or 10 hours later that Friday night to my mother while she was peacefully asleep and after all the family members but I had left for the day. Interestingly enough in those same notes the doctor had described my mother as looking peaceful and relaxed . It was a calculated pre-meditated murder and thanks to the young nightshift nurse who looked like a frightened chicken when I asked her why my mother wasn't waking up I became suspicious that something wasn't right. In my complaint to CSPO they lauded the doctor for the good care that she had given my mother while mentioning that the doctor had informed the family that she was switching over to infusions. (The opioids and the sedative that my mother was given were administered by continuous infusion what hospice called an infusor.) In essence what CSPO was saying was that my mother's body and life belonged to the doctor and it was hers to do with as she wished. Yes MAiD is a horrible evil thing but nobody relying on the Canadian health care system should take comfort that they or their loved ones will be safe by simply saying no to MAiD. If a doctor decides to clear a bed and give someone a speedy exit to the nearest graveyard they can simply dress it up as "comfort care" and those trusting family members who are too gullible to believe that such evil could exist in our hospitals will thank the doctor for the "compassionate care" their loved one received.

This is how my daughter died a year ago, May 15. Not only this way, but in addition there are additional heinous things that took place directly from the abuse of health care professionals .... and believe me the 'care' words is 100% non-applicable! There was a disabled man in Ontario who was going to be homeless which would have been disastrous for his disability. He made the news when he was looking into MAID because he didn't want to die on the streets. Absolutely tragic.
There was another woman who was a VET, and had been paralysed as a result of her service (not sure how exactly). But she waited close to ten years for a wheelchair upgrade, THEN, when she contacted disability services to request a ramp to be installed in her house so she could easily come and go, she was told no, but was offered MAID instead 😮🤬 It’s absolutely disgusting. But I do believe that people who wind up in prison should have to provide restitution to victims and help fund their incarceration and this is the only way that they'll be able to do it and gain skills/stay busy as a secondary perk. Has the privatization of prisons created some very clear paths for abuse that are well known and should be dealt with through legislation, and you have to ask where are the politicians that essentially allowed the prison system to do this? If I were Queen, these work programs would be significantly ramped up, but there would be significant limitations on businesses that use this workforce as far as profiteering. I saved the life of a woman in our congregation whom the hospital doctor wanted to kill by removing food and water. People would eat their children to avoid the pains associated with hunger and thirst in history past, but this is now standard-fair in Australia. I took a course in "suicide intervention" and I am hoping to avail of more courses like "mental health first aid" to help and talk people out of wanting to commit suicide. We've all had close encounters with staying under water too long .. can you imagine being medically "paralyzed" - can't move can't speak up and say you've made a mistake.... This is scary... That's why they administer the paralytic. They can't have the patient's family members hearing the dying person express fear and remorse while taking irreversible suicidal drugs. I have a son who has Down syndrome. This terrifies me. He has family members who adore him and would advocate for him against those who might suggest that he would be better off dead just to save money. But I know of others with cognitive disabilities who do not have advocates.
Knowing this is a possibility gives us opportunities to grow advocate networks who can help. For people like me, there is total lack of awareness. We want everyone to be able to experience a quality of life and have someone to defend us when we are weak, but don't really understand how to help or if that is appropriate for people outside our families. I'm sooo glad your son has the support he needs and I hope that will grow to include others less fortunate soon.
@@SadieThornewood where I live in the USA, there, currently, seems to be no one openly suggesting such things. There is no MAID here. Also, my mother died in 2018 at age 87. She had COPD, congestive heart failure, and a-Fib. She was covered by Medicare. For 2 weeks every effort was made to treat her illnesses until she fell into a natural coma. There was never any suggestion of stopping treatment until the family requested hospice and only palliative care. But again, my sister and I or other family members were with her in hospital to advocate for her every minute of those 2 weeks.

I work in a funeral home, and death by MAiD is now normal. My colleagues even want the program to expand to the Alzheimers. Heck, there are even suggestions from the government to funeral homes in Québec to "accommodate" MAiD by creating a room with a bed to give the "treatment" directly in the funeral home. As an RN this disturbs me on so many levels. I have witnessed to many miraculous healings in Jesus name. This is nothing but an extension of the culture of death. This is a usurpation of compassion. This is nothing more than another expansion of genocide. We must protect life from womb to tomb.
Organ donation is a big part of the MAID program. Healthy organs available for an arranged date. Used to be a 10 day reflecting waiting period but they got rid of it, must of had too many people changing their minds. They are trying to normalize this kind of death and so many kids are going to think it is. So heartbreaking

I saw my father go through this. It is not fast. It took about 22 agonizing hours with him in and out of consciousness, struggling to communicate yet unable to do so. His breathing laboured and rattling loudly. I was there the whole time until he died. It's not the peaceful kumbayah end they are promising you.

I was recently present when my Canadian aunt had MAID. I tried to talk her out of it but she was adamant she didn't want to become dependent. I was utterly horrified at this legally sanctioned suicide-murder. The doctor and nurse who turned up at her home to kill her were banal, soulless individuals whose job is to go around killing the old and ill. We had a notorious doctor here in the UK who murdered 250 elderly patients with morphine - Harold Shipman. Delivering MAID would have been his dream job. Already, speaking to people in the local town, I became acutely aware that becoming old and dependant was no longer seen as socially acceptable or as an inevitable part of life drawing to a close. Canada has embraced the ultimate evil - murder masquerading as compassion. As St Paul writes, 'The Devil himself masquerades as a shining angel'.

It’s not murder if your aunt *requested* it. What, are you going to keep her alive against her will? At a certain point that becomes actively torturing another person, which is one of the worst things one human can do to another. If someone’s life is ending soon and going to be full of pain and suffering in the meantime - if they’re going to lose their very identity before they die - I think choosing MAID is a perfectly acceptable and even courageous response. Obviously people shouldn’t be pressured into it, but at a certain point when quality of life is reasonably gone they shouldn’t be pressured *out* of it either. Let people choose what to do with their own lives, especially when they have a painful terminal condition.
I'm in a group at a senior center where we're doing end-of-life planning: wills, powers of attorney, trusts, etc. The leader asked, "Does everyone know what death with dignity is?" I answered, "Assisted suicide." Boy, did she give me a dirty look. I'm in Washington State. Washington and I think Oregon have "death with dignity" laws. This is the first time I've heard of MAID.

My 15 year old daughter went from refusing to wear anything but a dress to saying she was trans. She committed suicide in December, despite being top in her class, having a large group of friends, athletic gifted a musician and beautiful. No note, nothing to hint why she did it. Here is an example of how the law would be written: If you accept MAID at the age of 70, normal inheritance tax, for every birthday you get to after this we increase the tax till there is no inheritance at 75 and MAID is mandatory. Only religion provides value to every human being, and without it, we can logicly excuse the most horrific of actions, rationalizing it the whole way. We now test a fetus to see if it's autistic, so an abortion is considered. We forget that to carry the burden of such a child has its own reward both in this life and in the next. Religion makes us cherish the struggle, knowing it will be rewarded in the afterlife. Without faith, then we just struggle, day in and day out...forever....till we die, and then nothing. Without faith in the hereafter, it makes sense to live for the now, shedding any burden that gets in the way of our own personal enjoyment. I hear parents say, "you're 18, out!". It has become a matter of law to neglect your own children as they no no longer, by law, have to listen to the parent. Just a legal way to break the family. I hear kids say, "they choose to have me, I didn't ask to be born, they wanted me for their own selfish reasons, I owe them nothing!" Again, the shedding of the burden of caring for your ageing parents, as they cared for you. Remember this, REMEMBER THIS: The more the government interjects with social matters, the less social solutions matter. Look around at every government intervention, from the parents rights to protect their kids, to divorce laws, custody, inheritance, what you can eat, say, think, and now when to die. ....it is the government that must fear it people, which is why there is a push to turn us all to lambs, easier to slaughter. The abused, who come back, are concenting to the abuse. The citizans who say nothing are concenting to the stripping of their humanity. You are becoming a number, your value reduced to the taxes you pay, and if you can't, be homeless, die alone, there are no government interventions for that social problem, except maybe to move you along, when someone important is passing by. The Developed Nations, or as I refer to them as the Declining Nations, are collapsing under the weight of their own arrogance in the belief that they can navigate morality without the guidance of the divine. Another, argued fiercely, claiming it is cruel to force someone to live when they were in pain or had low quality of life. Quality of life or pain according to the patient? or another person ? who simply believes it is according to what they believe it ‘should be’ for the patient or individual.
One person who was in 24 hour care with a brain injury after surviving brain cancer and other things, appeared to me as wonderful and strong to maintain life in such adversity. To me their desire to live was immensely strong because they continued to live through substantial adversity and never gave up life.
Yet to another, that person had low quality of life which they claimed fiercely was a cruelty to keep them alive.
The patient was living happily with a brain injury and with care, their lifestyle was different to what might be considered normal or perhaps privileged. They had a sweetheart there as well.
This ‘other’ person made the claim this patients life was not of value for life, which I think is a shocking and terrible potential outcome for someone not able to defend themselves should another decide to have their life ended. And then name the process some type of kindness - like putting an animal to sleep to avoid prolonging their life.

Elderly people are SO valuable. They have wisdom and usually offer love and support. The belief that they are somehow a burden to society makes me sick. It was an honor to care for my Mother until the end and I miss her every single day of my life.

@@AA3Anon at the age of 92 my father had a very severe case of aortic stenosis. As a result, he was pretty much chair, bound, any activity was exhausting. We went to see a cardiologist who gave him a very thorough work up. He explained that at the age of 92 age traditional open heart approach to replace the aortic valve would be much too risky instead we were offered a new procedure in which the valve is replaced by going through the groin. We talked this over, as a family, and my dad decided to have this done.
The procedure went amazingly well and it gave him back a good 50% or more of his energy, the medical team could not have done more for my dad, the care was amazing.
This took place in a Canadian hospital in the province of British Columbia, under a socialized medical program.
This is not a unique one off or anecdotal this is common place.

My Mother went to hospital in 2023. She was 91. She had gall stones and needed surgery to fix that problem. I had power of Attorney so they called me. They wanted to give her MAID instead of surgery. I said NO. Then in late 2024 she went to a different hospital not feeling well. The Doctor called me and wanted to give her MAID. I asked what was wrong with her. He said they didn’t know they didn’t think it was worthwhile doing any tests. I insisted they do tests. He called me the next morning and she had a bladder infection. They still wanted to do MAID. I again said no and they kept her there for three days giving her antibiotics. A different doctor called me everyday and tried to convince me to let them do Maid. I was so disgusted.

My father was dying of cancer two years ago and had asked for MAID. I was morally against it, but didn't have a choice but to accept his decision. The morning of the procedure the phone rang at 5 am: my father had just died at the hospital, three hours before the procedure was scheduled. I was convinced and still am convinced that God answered my prayers and let my dad die naturally. I was immensely relieved.

A couple of years ago I was given a new book by a favourite Canadian author. Its theme was along these lines and I knew right away what it was about eugenics. My Mother used to worry about this before she died in 2010. I used to think that she was being paranoid until the recent COVID experience brought it back to mind. I’ve tried to shake the suspicions off. Then I read Louise Penny’s new book which is supposed to be fiction but opens that question in one’s mind.
I hadn’t really heard of MAID before the pandemic. The pandemic brought to light horrific abuses leading to death in some nursing homes. Citizens complaining of a broken health care system. Politicians’ excuses being lack of funding.
Suddenly hearing more about MAID.
Idyllic ads on tv of a heavenly scenario out in God’s beauty with loved ones all around. Such peace, such beauty.
Such a blatant LIE when you find out what is REALLY being done to you!
Trudeau’s method of fixing the failing healthcare…don’t allocate more funds to fix it…get rid of all those pesky people who need it more often…veterans, seniors, disabled & mentally afflicted . We don’t need them any more especially when they can be replaced.

When I looked at the comments here a few days ago I deliberately posted my medical experiences that happened all in ONE day.
It was not a pretty story. It was a traumatic, humiliating, horrific experience that I DID NOT HAVE TO SHARE! But I wanted to share it to open sleeping eyes to what the health care for ME that day, April 26 in Cambridge at Cambridge Memorial Hospital was really like. What it was like for a petite, disabled Senior having an alarming reaction to a new med was treated.
Starting with the doctor who prescribed a ludicrous med who mustn’t have checked my file of meds, next to the local SDM pharmacist who supposedly has one’s file in front of him & as advertised by SDM supposedly checks your file as a safeguard to you, to the arrival at CMH which turned out to be one of DANTES’ levels of hell where I was left with 3 people who ignored me…ignored my basic needs of a commode until it was too late. Who, after 3 hours being left in filth, turned out to NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! I found out by taking one of them by the hand & looking in her face & trying to talk to her!
No doctor came by until after 3 hours when I had been admitted due to a really bad reaction to a new med.
Why? What if it was damaging organs?
Why was I treated like scum? It was because the very first line written about what the drug is used for says it is a drug for alcoholics & drug addicted!
What was it prescribed to me for?
A DERMATOLOGIST in Hamilton gave it to me for a rare scalp autoimmune disease that I have been suffering from for over 4 YEARS! A disease that started during the first week of COVID lockdowns.
The other part of this nightmare scenario & why I think that the next doctor was a nasty little harridan to me, was that NO ONE BELIEVED ME that I wasn’t an alcoholic or drug addict.
In conclusion, I was failed by the first doctor, failed by the pharmacist, abandoned in a freezing cold room with no call bell to ask for a warm blanket (I’ve been in Emerg many times & the Canadian nurses will gladly get you a heated blanket as well as a commode or they help you to the washroom, a basin if you need to vomit) or any of the other things I needed if I’d been in a proper caring hospital. I forgot that they didn’t bring me a basin to vomit in either.
NOTE: I have severe spinal stenosis. I cannot walk without my walker. My walker wasn’t there. I was trapped.
Trapped with 3 young women who I thought were nurses or nursing assistants but turned out to be as useful as donkeys because they could not speak or understand the official language of our country.
Then to have an even more useless, nasty female doctor who forgot her vow to “do no harm”.
Are murderers in our prisons treated with better care & respect?
It makes me wonder.
Then, after pouring out my whole experience as an example of poor care from the medical establishment right down the line & as a warning to people…what response do I get from another reviewer?

Well, my daughter’s psychic abilities did not alert her to the first doctor making the mistake nor the arrogant pharmacist slacking off on his job, nor to a hospital that would be so incredibly stupid as to abandoning a helpless patient in distress to 3 individuals who could not speak or understand our CANADIAN language!

I personal knew many people with SEVERE Traumatic Head Injuries that couldn't hold their heads up, that were drooling in wheelchairs and couldn't speak and today are mobile or speaking up a storm in self-sufficient. One woman eventually learn to drive again lives in independently and speaks at toastmasters. Another was somebody that through love and support, went back to college and got a master's degree in psychology!! It was a long SLOW process add various ages, but I saw it with my own eyes! It can be learning the alphabet all over again as an adult, but you use the same building blocks to walk and talk and keep going!! It's those that aren't giving therapy consistently that don't continue to get better they have to never give up!! Always improving on each step even for years.

It is never the doctor… It is some nurse. Or some helpful person in the system. They think they are being helpful. They are angels of death… But they are psychotic. There are tons of them. I was told it was only a “chocolate drink”. A nurse actually told me it was delicious chocolate drink.
I am blind from a brain tumor. Inoperable. I had a stroke 20 years ago I’ve been disabled for 20 years.
But I have a good life. My son is now 30 years old. I have inherited some money, and I’ve been able to get some adaptive equipment so that I can communicate with other people even though I am now blind from the tumor. I was told to kill myself because I might go blind… But actually, I love being blind. It’s a lot better than being dead.

My parents lived in the Netherlands, and in the Netherlands Euthanasia is legal.
My father became wheelchair bound and had to go to a nursing home.
As soon as he got there, he said he wanted to get euthanized.
It is legal under circumstances of terminal illness, and if you are a senior and are in a situation where you will not get better.
My father was 89, and besides being in a wheelchair there was nothing wrong with him.
My father was euthanized Jan 3rd 2020.
They might aswel have given it to my mother his wife of 60 years as well because that's the day she stopped living.
My mother died on June 15 2021.
Euthanasia is a pretty word for ASSISTED SUICIDE.
You grieve over it like you would a suicide.
My mother lived the rest of her life wondering why my father didn't love her enough to go on living.
It was heartbreaking.

This was triggering to me also, but also very shocking.

My 95 year old mother fell and was hospitalised. The doctor told her she would never be independent again which she had been until then! Today 10 months later my mother is back to her old self and living independently again.( She has been doing so now already for 6 months!!) How evil was that doctor when we know that just a negative attitude can stop the recovery! They just don't want any old people, and basically just no humans anymore. Transhumanisme is their aim!

In 2019 I reported a doctor for murdering my mother by stealth euthanasia, after I had ordered the medical records which a retired healthcare worker reviewed for me. The records showed that on a Friday morning a deadly concoction of midazolam and hydromorphone had been prescribed by the hospice doctor which was administered some 9 or 10 hours later that Friday night to my mother while she was peacefully asleep and after all the family members but I had left for the day. Interestingly enough in those same notes the doctor had described my mother as looking peaceful and relaxed . It was a calculated pre-meditated murder and thanks to the young nightshift nurse who looked like a frightened chicken when I asked her why my mother wasn't waking up I became suspicious that something wasn't right. In my complaint to CSPO they lauded the doctor for the good care that she had given my mother while mentioning that the doctor had informed the family that she was switching over to infusions. (The opioids and the sedative that my mother was given were administered by continuous infusion what hospice called an infusor.) In essence what CSPO was saying was that my mother's body and life belonged to the doctor and it was hers to do with as she wished. Yes MAiD is a horrible evil thing but nobody relying on the Canadian health care system should take comfort that they or their loved ones will be safe by simply saying no to MAiD. If a doctor decides to clear a bed and give someone a speedy exit to the nearest graveyard they can simply dress it up as "comfort care" and those trusting family members who are too gullible to believe that such evil could exist in our hospitals will thank the doctor for the "compassionate care" their loved one received.

There was a disabled man in Ontario who was going to be homeless which would have been disastrous for his disability. He made the news when he was looking into MAID because he didn't want to die on the streets. Absolutely tragic.
There was another woman who was a VET, and had been paralysed as a result of her service (not sure how exactly). But she waited close to ten years for a wheelchair upgrade, THEN, when she contacted disability services to request a ramp to be installed in her house so she could easily come and go, she was told no, but was offered MAID instead 😮🤬

But I do believe that people who wind up in prison should have to provide restitution to victims and help fund their incarceration and this is the only way that they'll be able to do it and gain skills/stay busy as a secondary perk. Has the privatization of prisons created some very clear paths for abuse that are well known and should be dealt with through legislation, and you have to ask where are the politicians that essentially allowed the prison system to do this? If I were Queen, these work programs would be significantly ramped up, but there would be significant limitations on businesses that use this workforce as far as profiteering. They'd be considered tightly regulated charities.

I saved the life of a woman in our congregation whom the hospital doctor wanted to kill by removing food and water. People would eat their children to avoid the pains associated with hunger and thirst in history past, but this is now standard-fair in Australia. I have a son who has Down syndrome. This terrifies me. He has family members who adore him and would advocate for him against those who might suggest that he would be better off dead just to save money. But I know of others with cognitive disabilities who do not have advocates.
So sad and wrong.
Knowing this is a possibility gives us opportunities to grow advocate networks who can help. For people like me, there is total lack of awareness. We want everyone to be able to experience a quality of life and have someone to defend us when we are weak, but don't really understand how to help or if that is appropriate for people outside our families.

She had COPD, congestive heart failure, and a-Fib. She was covered by Medicare. For 2 weeks every effort was made to treat her illnesses until she fell into a natural coma. There was never any suggestion of stopping treatment until the family requested hospice and only palliative care. But again, my sister and I or other family members were with her in hospital to advocate for her every minute of those 2 weeks.

I work in a funeral home, and death by MAiD is now normal. My colleagues even want the program to expand to the Alzheimers. Heck, there are even suggestions from the government to funeral homes in Québec to "accommodate" MAiD by creating a room with a bed to give the "treatment" directly in the funeral home. I saw my father go through this. It is not fast. It took about 22 agonizing hours with him in and out of consciousness, struggling to communicate yet unable to do so. His breathing laboured and rattling loudly. I was there the whole time until he died. It's not the peaceful kumbayah end they are promising you.

I was recently present when my Canadian aunt had MAID. I tried to talk her out of it but she was adamant she didn't want to become dependent.
I was utterly horrified at this legally sanctioned suicide-murder. The doctor and nurse who turned up at her home to kill her were banal, soulless individuals whose job is to go around killing the old and ill. We had a notorious doctor here in the UK who murdered 250 elderly patients with morphine - Harold Shipman. Delivering MAID would have been his dream job.

It’s not murder if your aunt *requested* it. What, are you going to keep her alive against her will? At a certain point that becomes actively torturing another person, which is one of the worst things one human can do to another.
If someone’s life is ending soon and going to be full of pain and suffering in the meantime - if they’re going to lose their very identity before they die - I think choosing MAID is a perfectly acceptable and even courageous response. Obviously people shouldn’t be pressured into it, but at a certain point when quality of life is reasonably gone they shouldn’t be pressured *out* of it either.
Let people choose what to do with their own lives, especially when they have a painful terminal condition.

I told my friends about this being normalized in the future. They thought I'm crazy. Here is an example of how the law would be written:
If you accept MAID at the age of 70, normal inheritance tax, for every birthday you get to after this we increase the tax till there is no inheritance at 75 and MAID is mandatory.
Result, your own kids pressure you too let go, for money.
Only religion provides value to every human being, and without it, we can logicly excuse the most horrific of actions, rationalizing it the whole way.
We now test a fetus to see if it's autistic, so an abortion is considered. We forget that to carry the burden of such a child has its own reward both in this life and in the next. Religion makes us cherish the struggle, knowing it will be rewarded in the afterlife. Without faith, then we just struggle, day in and day out...forever....till we die, and then nothing. Without faith in the hereafter, it makes sense to live for the now, shedding any burden that gets in the way of our own personal enjoyment.
I hear parents say, "you're 18, out!". It has become a matter of law to neglect your own children as they no no longer, by law, have to listen to the parent. Just a legal way to break the family. I hear kids say, "they choose to have me, I didn't ask to be born, they wanted me for their own selfish reasons, I owe them nothing!" Again, the shedding of the burden of caring for your ageing parents, as they cared for you.
Remember this, REMEMBER THIS: The more the government interjects with social matters, the less social solutions matter.
Look around at every government intervention, from the parents rights to protect their kids, to divorce laws, custody, inheritance, what you can eat, say, think, and now when to die.

When we told our our retired animal vet about how the new vet put our dying dog down, he shook his head and said how cruel. The four vials of drugs they gave her did the same thing as the MAID doctors do. He said, and I quote, “how cruel”. Now I understand why.
I just asked this in the comments. So it is the same stuff given to pets for euthanasia.😢 This is sickening.

@@AnnArmstrong-gr7ngI was told the first (of two administered to my dog and a pony I worked with) sedates them and the second stops the heart. Maybe they use different drugs in different situations. Every horse I saw put down dropped instantly. I have no doubt they did not suffer. But this new info is scary, that there is the possibility that they will use these MAID type drugs. Scary for the humans, scary for the animals. I don't understand why they would purposely use drugs that are cruel when they already have ones that give the animal a quick painless death. (Humans should never be under consideration for any of it.)
It’s not the same. Animals get one shot of pentobarbital. They pass extremely quickly. Humans are given three or four different drugs.
