Good to see someone using quality electrical parts. I did installs for 15 years and never had a boat come back for electrical issues. Three or so years ago I had a guy call me to see if I would look at his new $110K boat as nothing worked electronics wise. I had done an install for a friend of his who recommended me. After three days of trying to figure out the wiring (basically starting over) and networking we finally got everything to work correctly but the voltage was low at the graph plugs. After tracing it back I found a fuse box the dealer had installed when they were installing the electronics. This particular boat wasn't rigged at the plant.
Come to find out the fuse panel they had used cost $14 on Amazon, $14 freaking dollars on a $110K boat!! I pulled the panel out and installed a Bluesea panel (like they use in the video) and everything was perfect. This was no small dealer as they actually rig boats for some pros. Why in the heck they would use a $14 fuse panel when a good one costs $50-75 is beyond me!! Always use quality parts!! ALWAYS!

Incredible job gentlemen! Ben is blessed to have a team of "Beast Mode" Technicians rigging his boat and to have his back.

Quality work. I love the attention to detail you boys bring.
Pitty, I live in Australia. I'd like you boys to work on my old Ranger.
Still got me puzzled about the handcuffs, hahaha.
I'll head over and watch Ben's walkthrough now. 🍻

Where did you place the 8600 series Garmin "slave" to power the NBT display at the bow?

Can you tell me more about the model of speakers from JL audio he has in his boat that dont require a head unit?

Awesome job. Could you guys to a video on how you tidy up all the 10 gauge runs at the connections to the graphs? And do you cut the factory in-line fuse out?

This is why I watched too, to see how they splice the 10ga to the tiny graph wires. I've wired my boat a couple times, and a few friends boats and that's always been confusing to me how the professional shops do it. At 41:07 you can see it looks like they just use a butt connector. Guessing they fold the thinner graph wire over once or twice to get it thick enough for the connector to grip both ends. I've done this before, but had issues with the wires coming loose and separating. You can also try a "posi-lock", which is what the Sea Clear harnesses use, but the skinny wires can come loose. Or you can use a bus bar (which is what I do). I ran an 8ga from my battery to the bus, mounted it in the rod locker, then each unit goes into the bus. If you wanted to run a dedicated 10ga line to each individual unit like they do in the video, they make single or double stud bus bars which would work.

@ yeah man I’ve always ran 8 to a bus bar or fuse panel and done it that way. I’ve been interested in running dedicated wires like this for less voltage drop. But didn’t know how they made it look so neat.

@@JakeBagwellFishing tons of zip ties apparently LOL. Looked like they had like a zip tie anchor they screwed into the boat along the way. They're like little black squares

Could you tell me how you got 16 volts and what does it run

  • @fish4kbcf

Unpopular opinion here. Cats are by nature a very fast hull, but they are pretty weight sensitive when you start adding weight forward of the console. I understand the need for the two graphs, but holy cow that bow mount is a boat anchor. Given he has taken so much weight out of the rear by running lithiums I can imagine this rig won’t lift to its full potential. Correct me if I’m wrong here.

Anyone know the brand of radio on this boat?

  • @txman201

You probably didn't install a 36 to 36 DC charger for charging the TM batteries while running the outboard.....12v to 36v DC converter is probably more likely....

Maybe it's the camera angle being weird, but it looks like he won't be able to see the bottom 1/3 of the NBT screen

What in the world is 16v for !??? Why do we need more versions of voltages. Why not just do 24v at that point. Why did 16v come around now. Super annoying.
