Rookie mistake I made that was an issue my injector wouldn’t pull. I replaced my 50ft 5/8 hose with a 100ft 1/4 hose. I’ve learned that reduced my flow just enough not to pull chemical. Went back to the 5/8 and bam, starting pulling. 🤦♂️
I have a new Simpson 4200 PSI and today water started filling up the chemicals that were supposed to be drawing out ? Does that mean the chemical injector got stuck? Obviously sir ?
@@avren7988 The Spring and Ball is Probably Sticking inside the injector We started removing the hose from the Chemical Jug when not in use. I started spraying lots of WD40 inside the injector after every use. Some people say that they soak it in water overnight.
There is a small check ball inside the injector with a spring mechanism. Usually when it starts to backwash into your bucket there's either trash caught inside of the ejector or either the spring has broken. Often times we just replace it
@@billydavidsonvip_Billy you're the man! I got frustrated on a job and I went to the bare bones minimum & had to batch mix my chem with a foam cannon (basically like a cheap man's XJet) to finish a house wash luckily it was a small 2 story. Thanks a lot I've been looking for a straight to the point video on the injector._
on my pressure washer with a CAT pump, water is shooting straight up from the chemical injector, shoots up about 10ft in the air! I have no idea what the problem is?
Most likely you'll need to replace the chemical injector you make and try to take it apart and lubricate it with a WD-40 product. Just be careful there is a small, check ball and spring assembly inside of the chemical injector. This is common when the check ball gets stuck in the open position and allows pressure to backfeed through the small port. I have seen this probably 100 times at least.
If you look in the description of this video, you'll find my training website my personal phone number is on that website you can always text or call me for help
Or instead of wasting time you could just remove the injector hose, remove the barb and visually see whats going on. Either the ball is stuck to the o-ring or a piece of trash is inhibiting ball movement . remove and replace and get back to work.
Billy, I did my 1st house wash this past Sat. Was really bluffed out ( worried about over doing the SH, even though I was downstreaming. Worried it wouldn't come clean ) but it went really good, saw the green disappear off the vinyl siding as I was spraying it- wonderful feeling. When I switched tips from black to white (to rinse) I looked over at my bucket containing the SH, and water was backflowing into the bucket of SH, running over the edge and onto the customers grass- UGH! Is that normal and something we need to do (remove the downstreaming hose from the bucket) or if not, what did I do wrong? Thank you sir.
Usually those injectors will backfeed into your bucket with Eric going bad. There is a small check ball in the injector that gets stuck and allows it to backfeed into your bucket. I would suggest replacing the injector
Question. Pressure washer worked fine and now it will not pull chemical through the tube unless I turn the spigot almost off. It's a fixed injector on a Simpson MSH 3125. Any input from anyone would be appreciated.
I have the same problem. If my hose is on but the pressure washer is off, it will pull, the second I fire up the washer it won’t. But if I fire it up with the trigger on, it will pull soap until I let off the trigger and it builds back pressure.
I have a Simpson also. I had the black tip in and it was pulling my cleaning solution well, I changed tip to white and noticed it was still pulling cleaner, I thought I only pulled cleaner with black tip.

Good video, I haven't used the alcohol or vinegar but I always spray the WD40 in the injector after every day of use.
Just finished power-washing thanks you sir. Your experience and knowledge clear pathway by adjusting the ball and spring WD-40 in it work like a charm

Thank you for the help. Dave from St. Louis
Thank you!
Great tip thanks Billy
What about when the injectors backwash Chemical back into the 5 gallon bucket?

Hey Billy, could you please do a video over Insurance and getting Bonded for us new guys?
Hey I did one a couple months ago I'll see if I can find it and send you the link

That would be great I'll do a search for it under your name. New to the biz that's one other thing I'm researching and the issue with the injector.

@johnsjourney777 it pulls when there is a drop in pressure. Black tip is a bigger orifice so it triggers the downstream for detergent
ever had water shoot from the injector ?
Yes you can try spraying some WD-40 into the injector it's most likely the check ball stuck most of the time we just replace the injector
Good advice bro
Wd40 will eat away and destroy the o ring.
