about the water resistance, although it is marketed as splash proof, you can find stories from people all around how this watch simply outperforms the claim, people have gone diving with it, people have frozen this watch in water, and it has still come out victorious.
@@swaroop_pany , Love that! I’ll have to be one of those who will be telling my story about how mine outperforms its stated specs. Thanks for sharing your story and thanks for watching.
I've never taken mine off to go take a shower and never given it a second thought. I'm not sure I'd take it swimming personally cause it has a lot of sentimental value but I wouldn't be surprised if it survived without issues.
I got this watch after a tip of which Casio should be a part of my watch collection. The first impression was that it's so small and light. It's really like a child watch. It just should have at least mineral glass crystal then, because the acryl will get a lot of scratches if children wear it. I use it now and then, and for the price of a pizza and a beer at a restaurant I cannot complain about its shortcomings.
@@patricj951 , thanks for your insight. “… like a child watch …” is exactly what I was thinking. Another subscriber told me I’d be surprised if I wore it all week, how I would like it. I may just do that. Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
They cost £10.99 GBP here in the UK (About 13 Euros) The backlight is indeed awful 💯 percent agree with you (The backlight is a waste of time) .... This is the watch I wear when I go into the city ..I am not going to get mugged for my £10.99 GBP watch. Also, the WR is supposed to be just "Splash proof" ... I wore my Casio F91W when I went swimming at my local swimming baths... The water went down to 9 Feet deep. (Almost 3 Meters) the watch was still fine afterward. I work in a warehouse so I don't care if this watch gets knocked and scratched.. So I wear this watch for work along with my Casio DW-5600E-1V The Casio F91w watch is not perfect (Far from it) However for the money they cost to buy ... The Casio F91w gets a big "Thumbs up" from me. I believe Casio sells around 3 Million F91w watches every Year... I can see why they are popular. They are ideal beta watches to wear for work. It does not matter if they get scuffed up and scratched. Thank you for this video.
Hi again @@briansaiditsoitmustbetrue4206, it’s sad that we now have to « hide » our watches for fear of getting mugged 😒 And this one is growing on me. I appreciate you mentioning that you go swimming with the F-91W b/c it confirms what I hear and, next Summer, I may put it through its paces 😁👍🏼 Thanks for your comments and for watching my videos! I may not have the collection of Casio watches you have but I can appreciate your willingness to collect them. Happy Holidays! 🎁🎄🎁
@@אלכסס-ח5ג , You’re right. It’s just because I don’t see myself wearing it. BUT … I have a subscriber that “dared” me to wear it all week and I now have it on my wrist until next weekend 😉 Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching!
Hi @@ducksays54, you are asking the same question I was asking myself only a few months ago 😄👍🏼 I don’t think it’s out of style BUT, I’d choose where and when to wear it. It’s a “peace of mind” type of watch when doing stuff around the house b/c if you knock it up or run it through its paces during yard work, it’s not expensive enough to have to protect it. It’s growing on me and I even wore it with casual wear when going out eating with friends. I feel, with the right setting and the right clothes, you could wear it nearly anywhere and any day. I would even say that if you have a few “watch nerds” in you circle of friends, they’ll give you the nod of respect 🫡 But that’s just me. Thanks for your question and thanks for watching.
@@TheGeekazoid, everyone keeps telling me that! It looks soooo puny on my wrist. I’m wearing it now and for the rest of the week to “try” to get used to it but I’m not convinced just yet. You never know, only idiots don’t change their minds. Thanks for your comment. It adds to the “mystic” of this watch. I know it’s iconic but, it’s going to be an uphill battle 😏

The design is band centric and not face centric like most other watches.
