      @@vertisjohnson219It’s a $500 job at the dealer… max. Anything more is a ripoff

    I changed mine out about a month ago, the dealer wanted just over $500.. took about 45 minutes to change it out. I even broke apart the filter to see if there was anything significant... It's a pretty easy job, I didn't even have to remove the black cover, basically to save some time.. having that lift is definitely an easier way to perform this task, I used ramps.. old school! lol.. thanks for the video!!

      Stock exhaust on the one we did the filter change on. The other had 2M sport cats and Fabspeed exhaust

      @@casmithc2 You have the chance of causing CELs. Also, Sport Cats often do not make power or 5hp in depending on the manufacturer.

    The filter change procedure calls for the threads in the DCT filter housing to be chased before installing the new bolts! If not done the torque will be far off resulting in fluid leaks.
    It is step 1 of the installation half of the procedure. The original bolts are installed with some sort of thread locker that may interfere with the proper torquing of the bolts if is not cleaned. The new bolts come pre-treated with some sort of thread locker as well. That is the reason for cleaning the threads in the bolt holes, and also for using the new bolts.

      Yes, the new bolts come with thread locker already on them. This is the 2nd car I’ve done in this manner and no fluid leaks whatsoever

    do you need to add any trans fluid to account for the fluid that is lost on changing the filter?

    • @WRPDRIVE
      @WRPDRIVE  3 дня назад

      We’ve already added the extra 2 litres of DCT fluid to this car, so there’s no need to add what was lost
