Whenever I watch a Kobe video i feel like crying how the hell is kobe passed away doesn’t even feel real
Same bro, still can't believe it.
Same bro and I think we all are gonna die too and soon because of pandemic
QMERT hum he crashed in a helicopter that’s how he passed away
Same feeling. Still cant believe uggh
Exactly feels like a dream
I was at this game with my Dad as a birthday gift to watch Kobe in person for the first time. I'm getting emotional watching these highlights, and re-living all the times he gave us so much excitement. RIP Kobe. You'll forever be missed.
Miss Kobe :(
DenverStruck go play 2k myteam!
Facts go play 2k 👺
DenverStruck Now I really miss Kobe
Ezekiel Bell fuck
now you might as well miss him more...
One of the best Shaq vs Kobe duels ever! This game being so late in Shaq's career, he really demonstrates his soft touch around the hoop. A seriously underated aspect of his game. For Shaq to come away with the win, with the offense being run through him, and no Steve Nash, facing a championship Laker team... pretty impressive. Kobe did NOT want to lose that game and did ALL he could. Great throwback game!!!
Shaq always had a finess aspect to his game. He would occasionally go into his bag from time to time.
Look at shaq after he makes the shot at 1:17...he looks like he wants a high five from Luke walton. Guess he was so accustom to seeing purple and gold as allies that he forgot he wasn't on the team lol
J.E.C Purple and gold in his veins.
J.E.C haha nice eye
Great eye brotha!! Wish somebody showed him this on TNT live one day see his reaction
That's exactly what I thought. He forgot he wasn't on the Lakers
Jason Springer nah it looks like Walton put out his hand and pulled back
I still say Kobe when I shoot
I still say Boozer.
I say Korver
I say Gerrard
I say Sun Yue......hand on....?
Fucking right, I knew his name before I knew the game.
Man I miss when basketball was played like this
Kobe was an offensive terror from 2001-12 and Vino mode in 2013 🙌🏻
01
He was on a offensive terror even in '98, '99 & 2000 when they one the first chip. Wtf are you talking about lol it's '98-2013
@@Darius_Icewood what I mean by offensive terror is amongst the league leaders in scoring. Kobe was balling but not there yet. 15 in 97-98 season, 19 in 98-99, 22 in 99-00. He put up 28 in 00-01 and never averaged less than 24 after that and was always threatening for a scoring title. I’m from LA and a die hard Kobe fan but I remember when it was Shaq averaging more until then.
@@CustomizedUsername well kobe 1st couple years he didn't get many mins that's the only reason why his ppg averages was so low
@@king-ghost1027 Kobe used to take it to Del Harris for keeping him on the bench whenever he came into town with another team 😂 Mamba Forever.
Wow I really feel like Shaq and Kobe left us with so much to wonder about if they would have worked out there problems and stayed together.
I think Kobe wanted to prove the world he can do it without Shaq
CaliDudeTV I agree but I miss the days of it being just 2 superstars a team now it’s 3 or more.
the whole time when Shaq was still a Laker, he never tried to hang out wit Kobe. even a talk for out side basketball was never granted.. haha
Lol warriors its 5... well actually 4. Draymond is a bum
kobe was going to leave for Chicago if shaq never left first.
3:57 What a drive to the basket. Miss you so much, Kobe. Come back please 😭
Damn what's crazy is that #8Kobe & Shaq put up BIG NUMBERS INDIVIDUALLY even WHEN PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER TOO.
Shaq playing his POSITION as a CENTER inside & Kobe PLAYING his POSITION as a SHOOTING GUARD on the outside man it was beautiful to watch.
super gilly not really. Kobe lost Shaq a few championships by bricking shots and not feeding the hot hand
super gilly dats a fendi 💯 idk what Kenny talking bout deez young niggas be following up Shannon sharpe 😂😂😂😂 Kobe carried and coordinated the team especially 4th quarter
Kenny you must be 11...
@@sophieenthusiast3161 shaq was doubled by admiral and duncan while kobe was guarded by bitch ass antonio daniels... no wonder he put up great numbers vs the spurs. It was basically the only time kobe was efficient was when he played the spurs.
Skip 2 My Lou how many times he went without shaq..... who was getting triple teamed and still beat the Celtics.....
"Kobe Bryant jumpshot" is a common thing back then. Mamba4Ever.
Damn Kobe was so offensively confident it was crazy how skilled he was.
2:40 "10 point deficit, this is the Lakers this is KOBE... like JB said might as well be tied"... some kids nd ppl just dont know who KOBE was 💯
😂😂 shaq hit the ice bath right after. That’s the hardest he played that year.
No he had 45 that year
Bruh the first thing the announcer says in the video is "Shaq had 45 Friday night" 😂
@@omara1854 still doesn't mean he wasn't trying harder against one of the greats and his former teammate kobe
@@joeyswantusch5986 People like you just out here looking for arguments smh
@@tysonreesmusic nah don't judge bih cause I was just hella high and disagreed with your comment I never even comment on yt and I was even thinking after I commented like wtf am I doing
1:18 shaq thought he was still on the Lakers 🤣🤣
JL Aurelio I’ll always remember him as a Laker
I was looking for someone comment on that when I saw it, lmao I said the same thing
He leave him hanging
lmfao
JL Aurelio wish he had been a Lakers player forever :/ him and kobe tearing it up until both retired would have been a beauty to watch
Imagine how much more points shaq could have had if he, just learned how to shoot free throws🤔
And stay on shape... easily 30k points
Roberto Masensi maybe 40k
probs an extra 2k but at the same time if he was good at it he wouldn't go to the line as much so idk
He could have easily been 1st or 2nd on the points list.
@@Kavothizzlafduxbfd but he would not get as much fouls which means he is probably shooting 65% probably
The last time shaq was still good was on the suns. When he was on the cavs and celtics that was it for him.
wweecwwcwtnanba1928
What could have been if LBJ had atleast a Shaq like this..
Lebron got the “last one up the floor” version of shaq smh
He was dependable on Cavs and showed up in playoffs more than Bron against Celtics optimas prime and on Celtics they where #1 so was the Cavs I'd say he was a good contributer but call it how u want I'm a huge Shaq fan he was very smart under valued passer and always first look on offence so tell me how my ass tastes
He always was last but he also ran straight down the middle under the rim every play no one else did that as well as Shaq
melodie121680
Maybe dependable.. But not even half of his Prime self..
Dont let your hate on LBJ fool you..
R.I.P Kobe. We all miss you and love you.
Most unguardable duo of all time.
2 on 2 game I’d take Kobe and Shaq over anybody
@@CustomizedUsername magic and kareem? jordan and pippen? lebron and dwade (or kyrie)?
The Exposer none of them could stop prime shaq or Kobe they were walking buckets
The Exposer who’s stopping Shaq? Prime Kobe matches up with anyone you named but none of them matches up with Shaq except Kareem. Kareem would struggle against Moses Malone though, you think he could stop prime Shaq? Kobe and Shaq in a 2 On 2 tournament all day
Kobe and Shaq all the way.
shaq was still really good in his twilight years lol
He was ight
Bum Hairs no
09 was his last season where he was a viable starting center
Nash made him bearable
Marcellis ! well okay he was bearable
If only shaq was in better shape
Nah shaq's body is unguardable
More like if Shaq could shoot
He's in good shape, he just can't shoot.
@@DUB_87 Nah he definitely wasn't in shape. That's why the Lakers were eager to get rid of him instead of Kobe and honestly he's the one who admitted it. Could've won one more championship after he left. Shaq was just big at this point. He still had a few moves. He's just big too do that slowed fathet time for him a little. But he left some to be desired.
If Shaq joined the Suns between 2005-2007, they would have won the titles
Even fat Shaq was a beast
5 days before his 37 birthday
He definitely was on that hot plate more so than the treadmill
Lol one game
Punking prime Pau
He was fat Shaq during his lakers days. He weighed around 340 during his MVP season.
Every real kobe fan knows JRICH was one of his fav victims
and Raja Bell
Jalen Rose
Will Mccoy raja bell who they tried to say was the Kobe stopper lol yea ok 😂😂😂
Harrison Barnes before he was a Laker.
Kobe took offense to JRich number. Blasphemous.
Rest in peace my hero, my goat.

10 years ago today. 🐐+🐐
Wish Deanre Ayton had some of that nasty, aggressive attitude.Even old Shaq makes him look docile
DirtyFace-Capone He’ll get it give him time it’s his first season
EvilEast 2nd
Ayton sucks..
@@alfredooliva5175 He has talent, but his energy level can be very lethargic/pathetic 70% of the time.If I was the Suns, I'd trade him this off season. He doesn't have the drive to be great.I think he'll always be a 2nd tier center. He'll show flashes of greatness every blue moon, but I don't think he wants it.He's the type of guy who'll get paid & start dogging it.Buyer beware.
They wish he was Amare. Amare was the greatest PF they ever had-besides barkley. And you could make a case that he was better than barkley
Man Shaq was a force to be reckoned with
Absolutely loved this matchup! Two of my favorite players no longer on the same team! It was amazing!
Kobe's ability to take over a game was ridiculous, he was an absolute scoring machine... this was vintage Kobe, in his prime, but just imagine if he would've reached this level of play while they were still together. There's no denying they would've been the most DOMINANT duo, but that 3-peat alone proved their dominance... Shaq was a beast inside the paint while Kobe did his damage from the midrange/perimeter, they were a handful for opponents to deal with, and neither one of them could've won w/ out the other. Shaq said it himself, after Kobe's tragic passing, "... our names will always be linked."
They could’ve easily won 5-6 championships. Pisses me off as a laker fan and wondering what if Kobe and Shaq put aside there differences.
💜💜💛💛
Squintso 89 5-6 is low. When Kobe was in his prime dropping 81, imagine that with the Shaq that won the title with a young d wade. I think 7-8 titles. Kobe was scary from 05-13
You can blame the media for that one
Joseph Pae not 2013 Kobe prime was from 2003-2011
What was really the exact problem between the two?
@tony tonyt thanks bro. From bestfriends to enemies and now friends again haha.
I used to love those Sunday afternoon games vs Phoenix, San Antonio, Dallas, Miami,
Shaq turned back the clock 08 (playoffs)-09(stats)..
That's it. He arguably had a better efficient seasons in Phoenix than Miami
Yeah no doubt, he definitely played smarter.
The 2009 Lakers are my favorite team. They weren't as good as the two last titles with Shaq IMO but they were a really good team. Lots of glue and ALWAYS had a shot regardless of the deficit. It's just a hint at how amazing a player Kobe was. He should still be here. His family and basketball needs him.
That team was just so fun to watch!
Kobe's game was so beautiful and graceful. A true virtuoso.
🐐x🐐
= M.J
In recommendation.. rip Kobe legend
RIP KOBE THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATIONS
lol at 1:16 shaq still thought luke was his teammate
LOL
Didn’t the suns win like 50 games that year and still miss the playoffs
The West was very competitive
Suns lost to the Spurs with the shameless hack a Shaq technique
@@Shadowheartmk
Not shameless just smart basketball u find a weakness lol and take advantage
4:47 is proof that kobe is one of the GOAT's of the NBA
@tony tonyt I said GOAT's not top 5
Rip Kobe love you forever 💛💜
Shaquille's body really reached its breaking point by the 2008-09 season
I say if O'Neal started taking care of his body after 2002-03ish his stats would have been 23/11/3/1/2 on 62% from 2003-2011 and I believe Kobe (now being the defacto) leader would have put up 31/6/7/2/1/on 48% as he would have free roaming and more open spaces with Shaq still being doubled... With Healthy Shaq&Smarter efficient Kobe=L.A. 11 WCF appearances n 7 Championships 2000-02/2005-06/2009-10 with Shaq being Finals MVP 4x(2000-02&'05) Kobe being Finals MVP 3x respectively (2006/2009-10).
AGAIN THIS IS ALL HYPOTHESIS
What the heck dude. This is the most specific hypothesis about two basketball players I’ve ever seen.
We could only wonder 😥 Also, the '08/09 championship should have been played with Lakers vs Cavs!
@@coreyfish1616 Literally just say if he took care of his body n they stood together who knows what would have happened 😭

Ahh the turnaround fadeaway of Kobe.. Classic.

Wow Shaq dropping 30s in year 17.. as a center. Big up Kobe in year 13 as well 💯
Rip Kobe 🥺😔💔
Still cant believe bro!? Rip to all
Like they said in the video it’s crazy he had 45 the other night and then this game. Shows how good of skill he really had because he was way out of shape at this point
Man 2009 NBA season was crazy!
Prime Kobe vs twilight diesel
I remember this game. This was part of Phoenix Sun's winning streak when both Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire were sidelined with injuries. Phoenix won all those games with Shaq and Jason Richardson leading the team. The thing is, the Suns never embraced Shaq's strengths. Phil Jackson knew from the very beginning that Shaq contributes more to his team if he is the primary scoring option - he dominates near the basket, virtually unstoppable unless double or triple teamed, so, he draws in defenders. That's basically the Lakers's winning formula during the 2000-2002 three-peat.
Anyway, going back to Phoenix, the players, coaching staff, and the fans wanted their "run and gun" strategy. Some fans even say that they wanted to stick to run and gun because it was fun to watch, never mind whether they win or not. But that's, not a good fit for Shaq. Phoenix could have been more successful with Shaq in their team if they let Shaq take more offensive shots, like during his Magics, Lakers and Heats (well, first 2 seasons, during the 3rd, the Heats chose to limit Shaq's touches) days. In Phoenix, Shaq was not the first scoring option...that would be Amare Stoudemire. He was not second, that would be Jason Richardson. He was not even third, that would be Steve Nash. If all possessions went through Shaq (like in the Lakers and Magic), and when double teamed he pass the ball to open players, they could have shot more open wide baskets...like what they did during this particular winning streak (when Nash and Stoudemire were sidelined).
1:17 Shaq dunks gets an and one and puts his hand out for Luke Walton lmao
Best center ive ever seen!!!my idol!
Damn that and 1 on Shaq was nasty. Damn Shaq was still dominating the paint after his prime.
if you were able to watch kobe live, then u know that he is in top 3 in GOAT talk 🚫🧢
Folks forget just how *dominant* Shaquille O'Neal truly was.
No we dont
I promise you no one forgets kid
nobody forgot lol
Who are these folks that forget how dominant Shaq was as a center?
4:02-4:06 all angles I know exactly what's going through kobes mind finishing on an ENEMY/RIVAL like that. Every hoppers dream, that outburst was from the heart.👹
Pau was just destroyed by Shaq this game
2008-09 Shaq was fun to watch. He wasn't quite prime Shaq, but he managed to turn back the clock a bit. And he seemed to be enjoying himself.
Kobe come back ohhh😢
Mama there goes that man! Damn I miss kobe 🐍🐍
The whole video i was looking at shaq shoe size😂🤦🏾♂️

Joseph Calvert Kobe stopped being the best after that Achilles injury and Kobe is my favorite player ever
@tony tonyt 😂😂😂😂 when carmelo had the better year and they wiped his ass and handed the title made him the best😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good to hear Stuart Scott. Classic espn
Jordan, Kareem, LBJ, Magic, Kobe
Shaquill Branch as a Laker and Kobe fan, that’s fair. It’s just preposterous when they don’t put him top 5
See how Kobe played the game. I don't care if others think he's not better than LBJ, but his mentality, skills and grit are definitely up there with MJ, if not better.
RIP, Kobe. Your Lakers are once again NBA Champs.
this also made me realize that Pau Gasol is a legit 7'1'' guy, always noticed that even in international games he is listed as 7'1'' in the metric sistem (2.16) never understood why he's list as 7'0'' in the NBA
Doesn't really matter, Durant's listed 6'9 and we all know he's 6'11
No the snake is 7’.25”
This game so underrated!
I'd rather watch this than the warriors shoot 3s all game.
In all fairness to Shaq, Shaq was not Shaq in 2009. He was on his way out. But he still had a great game.
Shaq’s last great year.. He was actually healthy & in shape this season 😂
the next two last seasons he couldn't move his feet
Best player in the world
Did I hear that correctly? Did he say Shaq dropped 45? 🥴🥴
I wish the Suns would have made the playoffs. This match up would have been legendary in the first round.
