Living in a renovation is really hard, and definitely exhausting. Keep thinking about how great it's all going to look and feel when its over!
Thanks so much I really appreciate that
We've had our home for four years, and although I know we have done so much, it never truly feels done. Good on you for hiring professionals for the job that you wanted done, and not going "good enough." They're floors after all. You'll be on them for the whole time you have that home!
That’s what I kind of love about owning a house, there is always a project that needs doing so we’ll never be bored 😅
Unfortunately it always get worse before it gets better, stay strong, find something to take some of the stress away, just know your not alone we all feel this way when a renovation is being done in our home. I remember when I put an addition on my house it went across the whole back of the house and included the kitchen they didn't take down the wall between the two areas until it necessary which helped but it was chaos that lasted months, but the end results was well worth it. I worked in the construction business so I knew what to expect but it still it was hard, visualize the end result, keep looking at your vision boards and keep telling yourself it will get better.
Thanks so much I really appreciate your lovely comment
Hang in there kiddo. Moving is always challenging. It does get better and it will take time. A house is something that takes commitment and is ever evolving. Have fun with it. I’m cheering you both on! Thank you for sharing! Your friend Diane ❤
Thank you so much
The time capsule is so sweet
I've been renovating for 6 months with the help of my lovely uncle and I completely feel your woes. I ripped EVERYTHING out, rewired, plumbed, floorboards, stairs - the lot. It's still not done and I'm so greatful to be able to do it but oml - I'm at my wits end. Luckily, I'm staying with my mum in the meantime so I can seperate myself from the chaos (a little, it's still always on my mind) but all I want is to be in there!!!!!
that said, i asked for it, feel incredibly lucky to have support and cheap labour and love that I can make it mine from the ground up. You've got this, it looks like it'll turn out absolutely GORGE.
I can’t even imagine the stress of ripping everything out, that is so amazing! I very much relate to everything you’re saying, i find it very reassuring to know that if other people have done this before, we’ll be able to do it too!
@ here here!
We bought a house in september and let me just say, it's very calming seeing someone else have the same struggles with renovation 😆 Moving in while still being in the middle of reno is such a overwhelming thing. But it really makes a huge differencen when you reach the point where you can place the furniture right! But I might also have had to high hopes for the timeplan 😅
It’s so good to know it’s not just you going through this isn’t it 😅 now that we’re 3 months in, i’m starting to enjoy the process a lot more and living in the mess has become kind of exciting because i never know what’s going to change the next week, it definitely teaches you to be adaptable to changing environments haha
We have that exact same KitchenAid! They are the best
That flat was quite nice!
Loving all the house videos! Thank you for making them. 😊❤
I’m so so glad people are loving them, I was really nervous to post house content in case people find it boring 😭
i discovered your account recently and i genuinely adore you so much!! also, first night in your new place is always so exciting. can't wait to see the rest of the reno!!
Thank you so much
Thumbs up :) Don't get discouraged, it will be worth it. The kitchen looks great with white tiles.
I for one think the old tiles were absolutely hideous, they look so much better whited out 😄👍
Thank you, me too!
Girl 😍 can’t believe you‘ve got a kitchen aid 🎉 looking forward for the coffee ☕️
💘💘💘
The floors look soooo good! Can't wait to see the finished reno
Thank you so much
Recently found you through your apartment/house journey and you are honestly one of my new favourite RUclipsrs! ❤
That’s so sweet thank you
The house is coming together!!! The struggle is there but a end will come sooner or later and than you’ll be able to enjoy a wonderful home
Thank you
Great progress!! Just keep going and love the journey!!
I can totally relate! I’m currently in the stage of my boyfriend moving in in my apartment. Even though it’s not as intense as your renovation plans, everything is chaotic and I can’t find my knitting needles or anything else :D hope that your renovation process is going to not take too long ❤
The moving was honestly worse than the renovation so I totally relate! Not finding what you’re looking for amongst the chaos is so so frustrating 😭
Hey, I hope things are feeling a bit better as you figure them out little by little. It's hard work but we can really see the difference! Well done for being badass and doing so many of these things by yourself! I bet it's all going to pay off! Thanks for sharing ✨
Thanks so much
your new home to looking great , very soon all this grief will be a distant memory and you will be so happy .
You have achieved so much xxx
Thank you so much :))
I’m moving house tomorrow!! I’ve loved following your journey and all the realistic things to expect along the way ❤
Good luck with your house move!!!
Lol i was watching this and then an ad came that was like “Genug vom Umzugsstress?” Manchmal kann Werbung so random witzig sein
Targeted Ads working overtime 😂
Loving these videos! Thank you for sharing everything with us!
I’m so glad you’re enjoying them :)
Hang in there although this is why we have never taken on a big renovation. We are planning a move maybe next year so I am taking mental notes. Keep on going - it will be worth it.
Thanks so much
I love watching these! I think it will turn out great
All the renovations seem to be coming along really well😍 The loft looks spacious on camera, is there a possibility of a loft conversion?
Definitely on the list but this will be one of the very last things that we’ll add and definitely the most expensive 😭
Love seeing all the progress! Where is your sofa from? I'm looking for something thats easy to move with and yours look great
Dusk, it’s the Brooklyn 3 seater + we bought the otterman with it. We actually are getting rid of it now because it’s slightly too big for our living room but we really loved it!
Ooh love it! I moved last year and I’ve to move again this year and dreading it!
Do you think you could link where you bought the kitchen work top plastic please, love it x
The kitchen was already part of the house so sadly don’t have any details to share :( I really don’t envy you though I think we’re going to be in this house for a while now just to avoid having to move again haha
@ oh I meant the stuff you used in your flat lol ☺️
Just recently found your channel and looove the reno vlogs!! Love from Münster :-)
Yay! Meine Familie kommt auch aus Münster 😍😅
ahh ich hatte auf Instagram gesehen, dass du in Münster warst, aber wusste nicht, dass deine Familie von dort ist hihi ✨
Are you painting all of the walls? So nice having everything refredhed isn't it
We are! It honestly feels so nice
You said you were in Germany, bist du deutsch? loving these updates!
Ja aber wohne schon seit 8 Jahren in England 😊 mittlerweile ist mein englisch besser als mein deutsch 😅
@ omg witzig! Dein Englisch ist echt perfekt! Ich bin vor 7 Jahren aus Neuseeland nach Deutschland gezogen:) you sound like a proper Brit, I just wondered when you said alu foil I was like that sounded German haha
Gurrrl, ikea has a very similar garbage system for waay less than that. Maybe to late for you, but might be helpful for others.
I can’t lie, I love my new bin and would spend that money again if I had to 😂
What was wrong with the existing doors?
Why are you moving all the furniture in if the floors still need to be done?
Why would you dump those real wood doors?
You painting the kitchen with all the furniture already in it 😅
I mean the tiles aren't terrible but very 2000s. You didn't choose them so why live with them? White is much cleaner and modern
Aren't you tempted to turn the walk in wardrobe into an en suite shower room?
She said in a previous video they aren't going to do that yet, but plan to in the future.
Definitely the plan! I want it to be half ensuite & half wardrobe since the room is quite big :)
@@averpaula I was thinking that too with still a bit of walk in wardrobe at the start and en suite at the back of the room. I look forward to seeing what you do with it in the future!
