Finished watching it. I'm actually one of the few people who love this Optimus Prime mold. I am a fan of how they integrated the trailer into the robot mode, leaving no excess part that will be lying in the shelf/box when Optimus is in robot mode. I'm actually impressed with BMB's take on the trailer transformation, making the whole trailer kibble work on the legs and remove it from the arms. I quite like that. Also the larger truck is a big bonus. Honestly having seen the review, I'm really interested in getting one to play the figure in person. My only wish is that BMB consider making an OS Combiner Wars Megatron to scale nicely with this figure, as they would totally be a great addition to my shelf. Sidenote: At 11:20 you actually mistransformed Orion Pax's head for the trailer mode. You need to turn the head around 180, and it should expose a peg hole for the trailer truck to fit in nicely. :) Anyway, thank you for the review and have a good one! :)
Just picked him up. The bot modes... Both of them... Are glorious! He is huge! And he really looks the part. He's standing in for me until I get MPP10. I love him! Two complaints; obviously the hands, but someone will release replacement ones (or maybe you could do a video about the ones you mentioned?) and his alt mode. Hate the alt mode, but I'm not displaying him in alt mode, so whatever.
Want it! I'm just going to display him as a standalone prime in between my riff raff transformers. I don't anything that he will look good with, but I must have him.
I don't mind the silver on the original or the truck trailer kibble on the arms. The black hands is a bit jarring though. I'm hoping they fix that on the actual release.
hopeful someone makes upgrades for this figure. it is beautiful. I love the Orion. He is going on my shelf. But, the OP looks damn good too. Hope that some company makes an upgrade like the did for the POTP figure. Maybe something to fix the shins too, and blue hands. Still an amazing figure
1. All blue Matrix? Possible tease of an oversized Optimal Optimus KO??? 2. Orion Pax's thighs...WHODAAAT!? They did admirably filling in Optimus's thighs, but Orion's are still a hollow mess... 3. The revamped transformation of the trailer is brilliant...why didn't Hasbro's engineers have that kinda sense!?
I hadn't realised this was oversized too. Having all the trailer pieces off the arms is great, the trailer and truck aren't perfect but I'm definitely interested now even just for Orion Pax that big. Official would cost me £40, I can get this now for £47, so much bigger, better colours, very tempting
I really appreciate the improvements these companies do, but they make them waaaay to big for my taste, mainly due to budget and space concerns, if they made them the same size or just a tad bigger it'd be perfect.

im so torn on this figure. it looks so good and is as close to a MP as Hasbro is going to put out without an anniversary, but also I don't like the trailer panelling (as in, I wish they could make it blend more) and the large backpack made by the legs. Not an issue if displaying from the front but it still bugs me a bit. This KO is better and also you can do the sticker application yourself. My autobot stickers are slightly off kilter in my POTP version
This version is superior to the official. More tabs keeping things together, for one. But his truck form is just ugly. You have Orion's head turned the wrong way for truck mode. If you turn it 180 degrees, the trailer hitch is exposed. You can see it properly on the official version later in the video. It's an inelegant truck form to say the least, but the Pax robot form is _stunning_, and the full Optimus robot has a fantastic amount of detail. I love that the trailer kibble is removed from his arms in this version.
for that price i could buy a few trassformers, and mp-01 as well as an mpp-10 for his price, or a toyworld constructor and something that's a little less than 100. he is just expensive
On one hand, you have almost an entire year to save up for MP-44, on the other hand, for that same price, you could buy Magic Square MS-01 Op, Transform Element TE-01 Op, and "almost" a full MP-10 Optimus with his trailer, or at least, an MPM-04 Optimus and have a bunch of change leftover. You'd also have the benefit of not owning an Optimus strapped into a diaper and a bulky backpack.
Great video, but terrible bot. Looks cheap, gappy as hell, and sounds hollow every time you move it. Also, anytime I see the giant hollowed out backs of pieces all I can think of is dollar store toys. Probably doesn't help that I am not a fan of the robot within a robot gimmick.

the name "Flame Robot" makes no sense. If they had OS'd the PotP Rodimus it wouldve made perfect sense to name him that.
