Both are very pleasing. The Art of making books and boxes, you put a lot of time into finishing either one and you enjoy both as much as I enjoy watching. It's a piece of new knowledge and amazes me how you do so many different styles.💕💕😊😊
Excellent work and great ASMR. I feel chills of pleasure and relaxation. Thank you! May I ask what kind of glue is that? It is PVA type? I am making some small boxes from cardboard and my PVA is wrinkling my paper so much :( .
Hey @fibrebooks is there a reason you wrap the cloth this way? Leaving 2 joins at top and bottom + the back. I would think go around leaving only a join at bottom and the back.
Nice Videos! I'm wondering how to do this with thicker material like alkantara like I saw it on Etsy? Any differences? Like the last layer at the bottom to hide the seams probably looks not quite good with thicker material?
Thank you! It’s definitely possible but you would need something called a paring knife. You would need to go around the edges on the ‘wrong side’ of the material (the side you glue down) and give it a kind of bevelled edge. That way the edges of the fabric lay flush to the surface and you cant see much of a raw edge. I’m sure DAS Bookbinding is a RUclips channel that probably has a tutorial on paring leather which you may find helpful!

Lovely vídeo how do you figure the measurements
I noticed the book binding is just outside the box; is that on purpose?
Thanks for clip!
