    Thanks so much for this Neal. I learned to make boxes watching various Indian videos but their techniques lack the level of professionalism here. I've never been satisified with how they turn out. This is absolutely fabulous, obviously more time consuming but really makes all the difference, I consider this the master class now!

    Good video! Do you face problems with paper wrinkling because of the excess water in the glue?

    • @NealCox
      @NealCox  10 месяцев назад

      Thank you. No I don’t have wrinkly paper, but there isn’t enough water in my brush to cause a problem, and the glue itself is no problem. Some papers do have issues regardless, and I don’t use those anymore.

      @@NealCox Nothing special. Cardstock and colored paper. The kind that goes for wedding invitations and scrapbooking. Like SINAR SPECTRA Premium Colour, Herlitz, weight about 120-160 g/mp. I am thinking of going for some bookbinding cloth that is backed with paper but is not easy to find good, light colors. Many are almost always out of stock. And when they usually are, they are so expensive...

      Yes, you pay for the good materials for sure. Almost takes the fun right out of it. Have you looked at cialux? www.talasonline.com/Cialux-Bookcloth

      Cualquier papel de gramaje de texto servirá, pero me gusta mucho el papel llamado "Hahnemuhle Bugra." Aquí en Los Estados Unidos, lo compro en este lugar: www.talasonline.com/Bugra-Paper?quantity=1&color=6

    Hello what's the thickness of the board ?

    • @NealCox
      @NealCox  3 года назад +3

      This board measures 0.08" = 80 Point = 1/12" = 2.0mm, which is what I supply to my students because it's easy enough to cut with a sharp utility knife. However, if that's not an issue, I prefer to use the next size up: 0.098" = 98 Point = 1/10" = 2.5mm, especially as the boxes increase in size.

    • @NealCox

      I am using a brand of Poly Vinyl Acetate (PVA) called Jade 403. Here's the link where I get it: www.talasonline.com/Jade-403

      @@NealCox in between times you brush on the glue, what do you do with your brush? Does the glue tend to dry up on the brush?

    • @NealCox
      @NealCox  2 года назад

      Yes, it does dry quickly in the brush, so if you are taking time with a non glue task, rinse the glue out with water.
