Luckily I have a lot of Doctors in my family. Other than that I have the habit to evade medicine as long as I can. But what is with the people who need to depend on good will? How could people know that blood pressure above 120/80 is not hypertonia if it's treated like an illness? How could people know that more than two weeks of grieving for a lost family member is not depression if it's stated in the dsm-v? It's possible if scientists and doctors don't get corrupted. And here's the problem, pharmaceutical industry has so much power that if they don't buy you, they have other ways to silence you. Just like Mr Gotzsche stated! You couldn't tell them apart from organised crime structures. Waiting for politics to regulate is lost ground, but I honor people like Gotzsche who still have the courage to speak out what they believe, against an enemy so powerful that any resistance is futile. Anyway, I believe we all chose our sides, no matter if the subject is or is not futile. Thank you Mr. Gotzsche!

We need to educate the doctors before they qualify, to prepare them for the free advertising they will be bombarded with. Journals with glossy pictures of healthy patients and minute unreadable details of possible adverse drug reactons (ADRs). In UK pharmacology has been out of the curriculum since 1992, so the knowledge about pharmaceutical drugs is mainly provided by the industry. Not a healthy situation.

it's nothing to do with educating doctors. The medical establishment is paid by the pharma industry. You dont think people today or most of them study ...medicine because they are philanthropists do you.!!! they study to prescribe synthetic drugs or poisons to earn a living. It is a nice ,cosy and safe little job for the rest of their life . Educate yrself and get with it .
