We are finishing book 2 of the elementary one, and it took 2 years for us to complete as well. ❤

Love this type of video! Would you consider doing a flip through type review of Abeka's upper level vocabulary and how you use it? I'm considering this for vocabulary for my high schooler. Also wondering if the teacher key is helpful? Thank you so much! ❤

Thank you for another very helpful video! One question about IEW S&S - there is a lot of repetition as you progress from one level to another for example as you progress from level 1A to 2A. as you did this program with your son, did you finish all the lessons as they recommend or did you skip any of the repetitive lessons? Thank you.

We personally didn’t skip any lessons. I look at it as extra writing practice. They’ll be on a different level, so the writing should be more mature and refined.

We tried the masterbooks art this last year as well - and had the SAME reaction! I saw they have a new one specific for high school, all video on the masterbooks academy, that I'm wondering if would be better??? No idea???? Thoughts?

I’ve been looking at Apologia’s General Science for my science loving soon to be 8th grader. He does not enjoy writing. The Apolgia notebook looks good and I like the idea of teaching how to take notes, BUT it seems like taking notes on everything in the reading along with doing the questions and activities would be intense. I don’t want to kill the joy of science. Did you modify this at all for your son or how did the notebook go?

Did you do structure and style a first? Curious where to start with my upcoming 6th grader that has never done IEW

Great video!! Thank you. I always love your videos & reviews of curriculum. I have a question for you... more like advice. So we've been with TGATB for 4 years now & don't plan on changing. Love them! But.... as my 6th grader gets older they don't yet have everything for 8th grade and HS. I'm a planner so I'm starting to plan. Because I come from an all inclusive curriculum, the amount of books you showed in this video is very overwhelming to me 😂 my kids are advanced as well so how do I choose without it being a drastic change? We're finishing up the last history they offer (except u.s. constitution) and I'm looking at maybe trying Notgrass 50 states since I will also have a 1st grader next year. Thank you! ❤
