It's great to hear Lettieri (and anyone from the Snarky Puppy squad) playing but to be actually able to SEE what the heck the guy is doing to get those beautiful notes and chords is remarkable. It is a complete experience.
Bro, imagine a small almost private venue with a stage you could prolly lean against and watch Mr. Lettieri shred the new album at it's "release" event. And when he delayed putting gear away and rushed over to autograph a vinyl copy for us and let us snap a pic, that was a complete experience.
Mark is just a funk master isn’t he? And he also happens to shred like fire and be melodic as well. An all around amazing musician, and a really cool down to earth guy as well. Thanks for sharing this! Can’t wait until the next tour!
@@guillermodelnoche I can't believe I did either! I commented to Rick the other the day after his show with Seal that he really needed to interview Mark (and Mike Dawes) and he said that he already had! I had missed it as well, though to be fair it was 2016, and I believe another appearance is necessary as so much has happened in Mark's career in 5 years!
this is like the italian restaurant where they serve the best dishes with the very best ingredients. Not overdoing anything, just having that bit of magic to make you want to go there every day and get surprised. Hats off to incredible musicianship !
Brilliant...on so many levels. Percussion drives, baritone/bass grooves, guitars fly...in all directions. Looking forward to the Guitar Pro tab release of this album, hopefully it includes all guitar/bass parts as they are all worthy to explore. Love it Mark!
Conclusive evidence that cloning Mark will produce the music we all need. Give this man more guitars.

This is really great. Dont understand why someone would click thumb down. I dont think even a legendary guitar player of any style would do that. Anyways we hope to getting more of Mark Lettieri!
I just discovered Mark two weeks ago (5/21) or so. The first song I heard was "Huh" and it reminded me of my stuff and what I like to do. I bought ALL of his CD's. He's great. I love the rhythm guitar approach as opposed to the shredder. SO much more appealing and tasteful, to me.
Congrats on getting nominated for a Grammy! That’s awesome! I saw you play recently in Milan- loved it!! My 12 year old is a huge fan too and we saw you with Snarky a few years ago in Vienna! Again Congratulations!
My uncle Dean (RIP) had a wonderful Danelectro baritone that he really loved. He had a great Luthier go through it completely in the mid 80’s and he was in love again. A very odd pale blue color. It’s tone was so unique and full of personality (like you Uncle Dean). Inspired I purchased one of the Fender Squire Baritone Telecasters with P90’s and am rambling down some country and blues roads that are quite unexpected. Love your work and thanks for bringing other musicians to my attention as we go.
Mark, I enjoy this album a lot, don't getting tired of it. What a great arrangements, pleasant sound of record and super deep grooves. Videos like this are an inspiration, an education and a beauty. Involving performance and beautiful presentation of a concept. Wish you more success, stay inspired and keep make great records! Best from Ukraine.
I like hearing a lot of "inside the recording studio" stories and have heard many times of backing players hearing a player's solo, and then emulating a line from it BEFORE their solo starts so it seems like THEY went from the idea instead of the other way round. Mark's solo appears this way, with the keyboard playing his opening riff a couple measures before HE actually opens with it. Would be interesting to know if that's how it went down in the studio! Fantastic song and didn't know he was that strong a bass player! Cost me money TOO, as I went out and bought a baritone guitar after hearing this!
I would recommend that you listen to his solo on Bob Reynolds' "Can't wait for perfect" it was the first performance i heard of his, and the best for me
Damn! I want a couple of your songs on our new TV series! We're shooting the sizzle in three weeks. Our budget right now is so tight. When we're purchased I hope they use your music. Love!
Mark, thank you for your beautiful music, I enjoy watching you and admire your art. I am from the Czech Republic and thanks to YT I can follow you and thank you for putting such great posts there. I used to play drums in a band( similar to the one you play with Snarky Puppy), that's many years ago. Today, on the cusp of 60 years of age, I very much appreciate good music, no disco or dum-bum electronic rumble or rap. The ballast on the radio is commercial and has nothing to do with quality music. I appreciate your grip and nimble fingers all the more, I know how demanding it is and how your fingers hurt when you have to practice. A song like Pulsar or Naptime is a balm for the soul and a caress for my ears :-) And your bass player - he is a great player and entertainer. I am looking forward to your other songs! Greetings from South Bohemia, from České Budějovice, you may know our Budweiser beer. All the best!
Deeper pocket than a pair of JNCO jeans.
lol.
it's like smooth jazz but funky. lol
😂
Bruh I've been swimming at the guy who created jnco Jean's house in Bel air!!!

Awesome!!
1:30 - he can rip on bass as well? Guy's just too damn good.
Mark creates groove you fall into and never return.
You are delightfully reinventing instrumental funk, for which my soul thanks you.
Mark Lettieri is my favorite pokémon (pocket monster) definitely a 🔥 type

Sick!
That is the best sounding Crate of ALL TIME. It has no idea how lucky it is.....
Epic guitar solo!
It reminded me of “Not of this Earth” Satriani vibes.
You have tone for miles!
Mark mentioned his love for that album on a Rick Beato episode in 2016...I picked up on that too!
@@chrisangela Thank you for the heads up!
I can’t believe I missed a Rick Beato video with Mark in it. I will absolutely check that out!

Nothing wrong with being inspired by Satch I feel! :D
Please make more Deep albums!! Can’t stop listening to them. What an amazing tone!
I sooo angree!
Next two ones will be called Deeper.
Oh yeah, great concept!
I start with the Sea , and Space gets 'Add To Queue' . I feel sad when it eventually stops.
