I can't be mad at him for this. He married and had a child with her. Even DC comics show us that clones deserve the right to forge their own futures. Same thing with Madyline. I love how this episode paid subtle homage to a classic comic storyline especially with the cover art as Jean Grey walks into the room finding Scott Summers with Madelyne Pryor on bed with Jean Grey being angry standing outside the door.
Mind you in the comics the context was a whole lot different with Emma too. Scott sought help and eventually comfort from Emma due to his strained marriage with Jean at the time. Emma began these telepathic 'therapy sessions' with him and began dressing and acting like Jean so Scott could feel as if he were with Jean instead. The sessions however became more and more intimate and Emma herself began developing feelings for him to a point it became a straight up affair. Long story short Jean found out about it and put Emma through some of the worst moments of her life. But yeah, this was clearly a homage to that moment except the context and character Scott is with is switched up. I'm not defending Scott here but I'd say what he did here with Madelyne was far more understandable than what he did with Emma, considering he had a marriage and son with her and for a long time believed she was truly Jean.

Scott and Madelyne have NOT divorced and have a lot of unresolved trauma (her losing her identity, him losing his wife only to be with a version of her who is missing years of life he spent with Maddy, and then they lost their child). Jean is being a harsh to ask him to forget about the woman he married and had a child with (and whom he did not divorce). Plus, she kissed Logan and she is calling him feeling love for someone who is essentially herself but with a year of memories she doesn't have... it's so unfair for her to be so furious.
I see a lot of people making an issue of Cyclops and Madelyn's psychic interaction after finding out that she is a clone, and calling it cheating. Here's the thing, Cyclops was married to Madelyn and had a child with her, so of course he's still going to have feelings for her, but those feelings were developed only because of not initially knowing that Madelyn was a clone. If he had known initially, then none of this would be happening. They were tricked, so Cyclops didn't cheat.
I mean...like I feel for Scott, I really do. And what he did before with Madelyn was definitely not cheating. But once you KNOW she is not your wife, and you keep seeing her, it is considered cheating. Like, absolutely he is valid in having feelings for Madelyn, but continuing to see her WHILE seeing Jean is two-timing.

Except that she's not. In the comics, the whole cause of the "Inferno" storyline is because Scott left Madelyne for Jean, and admitted Jean was his true love. It made Madelyne hate him so much, that her hatred attracted the demons of Limbo to earth, and they gave her the enhanced power to destroy the three she hated most (Jean, Scott, Sinister) in exchange for sacrificing her baby atop the Empire State building.

Me too. Maddy's identity crisis and the fact she had Scott's baby and had to give up the baby and felt she had to leave and forge a new identity (and on top of that what her fate is in Genosha). She had my full sympathy. And Jean is smooching on Logan and acts with less humanity and tact than Maddy. Jean keeps talking about having been the Phoenix and having given up Universes for Scott and saying her memories are foggy like being seen through the wrong eyes... it makes me more inclined to think of Maddy as the one with JEAN's memories and Jean having Phoenix's.

I had a lot of sympathy for Scott, because he got stuck in a really messed up situation. For him, Madelyn was Jean for a long time, and the mother of his child. Sure, he should have talked to Jean about it, but its easy to feel for him in such a complicated scenario.
It took me so long to realize he was talking to Madelyn in the beginning. Now I see why Jean got so mad, although she did kiss Logan too not so long ago. I hate to say it, but I feel like Scott and Jean will split by the end of the season.

Because Scott isn't actually committed to that he just did what was convenient. He wants both Jeans but refuses to treat them as the separate people he now knows they are. He's now doubting if Jean was ever the one he loved or if itbwas all Madelyn and that's pretty toxic because she doesn't know for sure it just she is more certain of things than Jean.

Except that she's not. In the comics, the whole cause of the "Inferno" storyline is because Scott left Madelyne for Jean, and admitted Jean was his true love. It made Madelyne hate him so much, that her hatred attracted the demons of Limbo to earth, and they gave her the enhanced power to destroy the three she hated most (Jean, Scott, Sinister) in exchange for sacrificing her baby atop the Empire State building.

Me too. Maddy's identity crisis and the fact she had Scott's baby and had to give up the baby and felt she had to leave and forge a new identity (and on top of that what her fate is in Genosha). She had my full sympathy. And Jean is smooching on Logan and acts with less humanity and tact than Maddy. Jean keeps talking about having been the Phoenix and having given up Universes for Scott and saying her memories are foggy like being seen through the wrong eyes... it makes me more inclined to think of Maddy as the one with JEAN's memories and Jean having Phoenix's.
I can almost get passed Jean kissing Logan, but when she called Madelyn IT that really pissed me off

He did and Madelyn did think that she was jean. But this clip is 1 month after Scott and Madelyn know that Madelyn isn't jean. Scott knows this is Madelyn not Jean.
This is cheating because Scott is kissing basically jeans identical twin sister. He and Jean were not talking much after his son was sent to the future for medical treatment seemingly never to be seen again and Scott relied on Madelyn to help him grieve their child being gone. He got intimate and kissed Madelyn without letting Jean know.
