Fun Fact: As good the animation in this anime is, it was actually made with a low budget. They hired budding artists/animators/illustrators whose specialty are making the really explosive fight scenes that can be found around the internet. These people obviously didn't command top pay, but the worked extra hard and really passionately to showcase their talent in their first break in the japanese animation industry.
Last Snowfall Don't forget that most of the staff absoulutely *LOVE* this series, and were partially willing to work so hard and with so few resources because of that. This anime is a work of love, just as much as it is a skilled product.

Their first reaction to Saitama destroying Vaccine Man is priceless. You can see the instant they realize Saitama really does smash the bad guys in one punch.
You guys need to remember that this show isn't supposed to be taken seriously. There isn't like a main story. The whole idea is that this is a parody of all other animes. You'll come to understand why the further in you get, like the main characters story on how he became strong.
Yes, but saying that it's primarily a parody is ignoring the things that also make it great. What motivates a hero, what does being a hero mean, why do we push ourselves to do great deeds?
To me, it seems the series is attempting to what many series have tried to do and failed: Be equally funny and serious as the same time. For example, everyone knows Gintama is a comedic series, designed to make fun of other series. A few fans do claim it has a series storyline, but is so small as compared to its joke episodes, so most don't take it seriously. One Piece is a serious series, despite its comedy. Sure, there is hilarity to be found in it, but it's primary focus is the struggle of Luffy to become Pirate King and find the One Piece, not his big appetite. One Punch man has both a serious and comedic end. Its comedic goal is to make fun of the overpowered protagonist, and its serious goal is for the hero to find a worthy opponent. Both are equally important. If the series finale is a simple "save the world from powerful villain because heroes should do that," then all of OPM was a comedic action shonen. If it ends with a bunch of comedy but no worthy opponent, then whole plot was just filler teasing the audience but never delivering. The only way the story can end perfectly is if both goals are satisfied.
I definitely think this is more of a parody, you can tell because of how exaggerated (in a good way) some of the villains and characters even OPM are portrayed. it's meant to poke fun at alot of anime tropes
"Just a hero for fun" = Greatest hero backstory "I ate too much crab" = Saddest backstory Also, was it just me, or did anyone else feel glad he found a challenge at the end of the episode until you realized it was all a dream? I feel for him.
Wow... One Punch Man won the poll. That's awesome! It's really short, and I'm sure they'll enjoy it. Hopefully they find out that it's a parody of the Shonen genre.
They're saying that it is a commentary on superheroes so it's close enough I guess, they already made the connection with the first villain and Piccolo and talked about DBZ and Superman.
I clicked on this video, knowing I was going to see your comment. I am NOT disappointed. I've seen you on bw videos forever with that damn saitama icon, so I bet you're happy as *Fuck!*
As someone who usually watches anime in Sub, i think its completely fine for anime fans to watch as much Dub as they want. All i can say is that most of the time the japanese voice actors usually fit the character a bit more. But even i can admit its nice to just watch it without taking your eyes off the action. I really do think that most fans take the Sub a bit too serious, to say Dub RUINS anime.
i prefer to watch stuff in the original language, it doesnt feel quite natural to me when they have to sync their voices to the animation. the mouthes were meant for one language, and it just feels nicer when the lips match the sounds. this doesnt sound as bad though.
I mostly agree with you. Except dragon ball's, King Kai japanese voice actor. To me it seems like he lacks emotion. Think I will watch super in Dub because of this. I actually started One Piece in dub. Got up to 516 and then re watched in sub. I love sub because we get more content. :D
MellowCm the greatest thing about dub is that people can react to it if they just consult with funnimation and youtube company to have permission to watch it
You are the MOST respectful sub watcher I've seen in a long time. I also believe sub is better even though I don't watch it I'm pretty sure Japanese people have to go to school to learn how to voice act in the first place so even though I love dub and usually don't watch the sub Japanese voice actors might be inherently better.
@@zemellion26 Okay, so you mean you don't shit on your country's president/head of office. I doubt you could do a better job than him. The argument is so ridiculous and senseless. That is their jobs, and they will be criticised if they can't do it properly. I am not saying that the person who dubbed can't voice act, but his voice just doesn't fit for Saitama, atleast not as good as the Japanese dub. The right to criticise is not only with those who can do the job better, it is with everyone who is affected by it. The voice actors have gone through proper training, and it is their prime job, and they are paid for it. So anyone who doesn't find the work good is welcome to criticise them. It is not "shitting on their jobs", just that they are not suited for this particular role.
After he killed the crab guy, did you take note of his eye when an orange flare appeared in it before it transitioned to him in the super market? Keep that in mind. Also One Punch Man started as a simple web comic on the internet before it got big enough to become a manga and then eventually an anime. The anime actually has a very average budget too but the animators were so passionate about it that it turned out to this quality. Pretty awesome, I must say.

So no, saying he's just not good isn't something I agree with, subjectively or objectively
i'm so happy they watched the dub, because they can actually watch it instead of spending the time reading.... and it pisses off every one that thinks their opinions of the sub being better actually matters. take your opinions and shove 'em. if you get that mad about it, you don't deserve to watch it.
I always remembers the blood landing on his chin. But it was never there. Everytime i watch that scene im always expecting the blood to land on his chin
A friend recommended this show to me, and I put it off forever. Finally watched, and man it quickly grew on me a lot more than I expected. Been thinking about re-watching it, but now with this Reaction series I can just watch all of your videos instead. :D
One theory to why saitema is so strong is because he defeated 🦀 man or precisely cancer. That’s why he’s bald 👨🦲. It’s a theory though so don’t go bashing me.
The big chinned kid told his dad about a guy who saved him from the crab monster so as a result his dad created a superhero organisation . So saitama is the reason why the organisation was formed in the first place but nobody knows that , even saitama himself doesn't realise that . Also he has become bald so they don't recognize him aswell . Lots of things and turn of events happen because of saitama but saitama himself doesn't know that he was responsible and others aswell .
*+Iron Woodkid* Get over it dude. I also wanted Death Note or AoT over OPM, but this is still a fun series for them to watch, and if you ask me, even though I love AoT and I agree that it's better, I can tell you that it is as overrated as OPM.
Same. It's kinda ridiculous to be honest. Why is it that shows with pointless action and a main character that always wins beat the better more thought out shows? Attack on Titan and Death Note actually make the characters go through struggles and have deeper storylines so I have no idea why One Punch Man instead of Attack on Titan or Death Note.
Pointless action? Main character always wins? Umm... yes, the main character for the most part, almost always wins, but the story hasn't concluded so we don't know what sort of "win" Saitama will have, or not. There's a deeper meaning behind the over exaggerated action. There's a very real possibility that Saitama/ONE is writing from a position of depression. A parody can have meaning, and not everything dark is amazing.
The best part about the kid with the chin is he's the nephew of the founder of the Hero Association, and Saitama saving him was the reason the Hero Association was founded.
Is it me or are does it look like there not really into it? Like there getting burned out of Anime? Shane looked like he really wanted to watch something else lol. Love the channel.
At the end of the day the crew decides what goes on their schedule, even poll options. They discuss things like this regulary and if they decide they have had enough anime then they won't accept those requests but the crew love shows like this so :)
Probably already pointed out by someone else but 'reading is hard' The voice actor for the super-big brother is the same one who voices Eren Jaeger in the Attack on Titan English dub.And that's the power of knowledge ^__^
Trust me I've been a Dragon Ball fan all my life and I also thought Saitama couldn't beat anyone in the DBZ universe untill I actually watched One Punch Man. Saitama can beat Goku and you will understand why in time.
your right, logic and gag are both different. If you use logic to compare on a gag,you are rather arrogant or just a stupid guy. Zzzz, its like combining science with religion, they dont fit.
I prefer SUB over DUB but I definitely like DUB when it's used in One Punch Man, mostly during the vaccine man scene, because it emphasizes the emotion that the SUB didn't
Stop complaining about anime choice. At least it's really short and they will finish it fast unlike FMA lol. And I don't care if it's dub. They are not used to subtitles, so it can affect on their watching experience (even though I cringe a bit at some voices, specially Eren in AoT). But who cares while they watching and like it, right?
I've watched the English subs, but I know the guy who voice acts Saitama in dub is the same guy who does Leo and Forrest and FE:Fates, and the second Saitama spoke all I could "hear" was Leo...

i'm so happy they watched the dub, because they can actually watch it instead of spending the time reading.... and it pisses off every one that thinks their opinions of the sub being better actually matters. take your opinions and shove 'em. if you get that mad about it, you don't deserve to watch it.
Saitama's 'whoops' after he kills the giant and makes him crahs on the city always cracks me up
0:16 Calvin's impression of Nappa is impressive!! xD
I always remembers the blood landing on his chin. But it was never there. Everytime i watch that scene im always expecting the blood to land on his chin
"You look just like a character from a cartoon I used to watch,"
Could that be a reference to Spongebob? I know someone mentioned it in the video...
He said villain but okay
A friend recommended this show to me, and I put it off forever. Finally watched, and man it quickly grew on me a lot more than I expected. Been thinking about re-watching it, but now with this Reaction series I can just watch all of your videos instead. :D
One theory to why saitema is so strong is because he defeated 🦀 man or precisely cancer. That’s why he’s bald 👨🦲. It’s a theory though so don’t go bashing me.
Never clicked on a Blind Wave video faster in my life.
you guys should do Attack on Titan
Big chin brat is my fav character :3
im glad that no one is complaining that they're watching the dub
The big chinned kid told his dad about a guy who saved him from the crab monster so as a result his dad created a superhero organisation . So saitama is the reason why the organisation was formed in the first place but nobody knows that , even saitama himself doesn't realise that . Also he has become bald so they don't recognize him aswell . Lots of things and turn of events happen because of saitama but saitama himself doesn't know that he was responsible and others aswell .
"but could he beat a titan in one punch?" 0:45 short answer "absolutely"
"The surface is guarded by me!" doesn't quite have the same ring to it as "the earth is under my protection!"
"can he beat a Titan with one punch" 😂😂😂
"ANIKIIIIII"
"BROTHER NOOOOOO"
ARE WE NOT GONNA TALK ABOUT THAT PEN FLIP AND AMAZING CATCH AT 10:39 caught it in perfect writing position.
"But can he beat a titan with one punch?" This made me smile. =)
Still can not believe that this anime with a story at the level of cartoon for kids, won with Attack on Titan and Death Note
"Can he beat a titan in one punch?" Pay close attention to the opening to find out.
*goes into comments*
"People who watch dubs are dumb and dubs will always be inferior."
*nopes out of comments*
I love how such an under dog he is and lowkey about his powers.
Back here for God knows how many times and suddenly realized it's already over one million views?! I'm both shocked and happy.
7:20 when you are playing Shadow of the colossus only to realize that this is your 5th new game plus
Finally A Dub Reaction. The Dub for this One is Quite Nice.
Agreed
Oh God I wasn't ready for the dub
I literally face palmed
@@GreySeashell-j3m
The dub sounds fantastic. What's your problem?
Omg the Nappa impression at the beginning was spot on 😂👌
The best part about the kid with the chin is he's the nephew of the founder of the Hero Association, and Saitama saving him was the reason the Hero Association was founded.
"But can he One Punch a Titan..?" Teehee... !
keep in mind that One Punch Man is a parody on all the anime tropes, but nonetheless still a great show.
FINALLY SOMEBODY WHOS WATCHING ONE PUNCH MAN IN ENGLISH
Finally! It's about time! I've been waiting for these guys to react here in OPM
Love the artistry behind the face change characterisation when he's under genuine potential threat.
"four bad guys" "weird designs" OHOHOHO you ain't seen nothing yet.
Yea opm isnt that good, it has good animation and art style but opm is one of those animes your like yea well i already know whats gonna happen
WazaGames OPM is amazing but I guess that's your opinion
no idiot its jut a fact about a gag show
Sasuke kuniski Hey i loved opm and many others do as well. You may think it is a gag show but a large portion of people really like this show.
But wait !
All the characters on the table are bald. Does this has a meaning?!
I saw this 4 years ago, rewatching it now
Probably already pointed out by someone else but 'reading is hard'
The voice actor for the super-big brother is the same one who voices Eren Jaeger in the Attack on Titan English dub.And that's the power of knowledge ^__^
I just noticed the funko pop characters are all bald man
ISingand DoOtherThings they said it at the start
"But can he beat a titan with one punch?"
Me: "Pfffft!"
Trust me I've been a Dragon Ball fan all my life and I also thought Saitama couldn't beat anyone in the DBZ universe untill I actually watched One Punch Man. Saitama can beat Goku and you will understand why in time.
J.E F No, as an avid disliker of dragon ball and a lover of opm I can confirm that goku can very easily beat saitama
your right, logic and gag are both different. If you use logic to compare on a gag,you are rather arrogant or just a stupid guy. Zzzz, its like combining science with religion, they dont fit.
Arale is just as gag as Saitama and she defeated ssb vegeta
@@sanjeevkrishnan2912 Right but don't forget she lost to Beerus. Making Gag characters beatable in the DB universe.
10:38 So No One Gonna Talk About How F*cking BOSS That Pen Flip Was !??!!?
Lol I love the fact that 'Bicep king' is voiced by the same guy that voices Eren Jaeger, a guy that turns into a muscled giant XD
"main villains" ha no such thing
Depression is the main villain
@@henriktheonly3874 true
I've watched the English subs, but I know the guy who voice acts Saitama in dub is the same guy who does Leo and Forrest and FE:Fates, and the second Saitama spoke all I could "hear" was Leo...
Wow, never realized the big titan-looking guy was also the voice of Eren from Attack on Titan
