Cals progression as a character and the horrible dark turns he takes are very intriguing, I can't wait to see more. Also even though we didn't see much of Dagan, his character design and idea were both really stunning. I also look forward to seeing more of Kata, I feel like she has a potentially dark future considering all she's been through.

I'm a sucker for a good song. When I heard this in the temple, I stopped to listen to the whole thing! The Echo wrenched heart.
And then when you go to talk to her in the garden she starts to sing it again I was like ahh😭
The last thing i was expecting when i entered the Temple on Tanallor is to hear Her. I was so afraid to move from beside her not to trigger a cutscene. Shivers running on my back, so beautiful was her voice. Cant forget the melody since.

What makes this song great, is that a ghost star is a star that has reached the end of it's lifespan, yet it can still be seen due to how light travels. Symbolizing that even though Kata's mother is gone, she still lives on in her heart.
Is it not more likely it means Bode here? Its a song about waiting, like she waits for him. He is also the one who changed, who is not the same. In the sense that Anakin died when he became Darth Vader, Bode died when he too turned to the dark side. He is the ghost star.

@@dybiosol but it doesnt make sense for the mother. She is the one who is literally dead, who can be seen no more, that can never come home. The song keeps alluding to a return (if i remember correctly), which bode routinly does, while the mother does not.
@@JohnNoneTruewell in universe, bode is the one that made this song and sings it with her, i doubt he’d be making a song like that about himself, its most likely about kata’s mother and her death
@javiartem in universe I believe the song is a lullaby that predates them both, but this is a diegetic answer to the question of the symbolism of the song. In the real world, the song was made by one of the people who made the game, and he made it to be coherent with the story.
Little Fun Fact: Not only does the melody sound similar to the Force Theme, but it’s actually possible to sing this song using the Force Theme’s tune

I've been obsessed with this song since playing Survivor so I decided to turn it into a full arrangement! Unfortunately I couldn't get a clean audio of Kata singing so I used the version from the game and tried to clean it up a bit. I'll post the instrumental version on my Patreon for those interested!

I can see her becoming a fan favorite character in the future especially with when shes older im willing to bet that shes going to be another playable character in the future maybe saving cal when shes older
I'd love if Kata has a cameo somewhere in the future. She's ~10 or 12 here, and chances are Cal and Merrin are going to use Tanalorr as a haven for those running from the Empire, so Kata can probably grow up being trained by Cal and Merrin in the Force because she's almost definitely force-sensitive. Kind of like Cal and Merrin's adopted daughter or something.
I still felt bad for killing Bode, because i knew Kata was watching and know she should not have had to. Fictional characters but a damn good story
Me too. I can see his reasoning, even though it made me so mad to watch him lose it so badly. I'll never forgive the writers for this. 😅Not only did they make Cal and the Mantis Crew feel betrayed, No. Bode betrayed ME! I felt the betrayal so deep down in my core, gods, I was so angry. If I we're a Jedi, I think I would have turned to the dark side.

I think degan doing the force mind trick during their fight changed bode. Because he got a lot more distance after that
@@dmishaw9998He never changed, he was always like that. He worked for the ISB, not because he believed in their cause but more to protect his daughter. The main reason he was with cal was because he knew cal would figure out how to get into the abyss. That and of course spying for ISB so Vader could end them.
The whole time she was singing I really didn’t want bode to die
After what bode did I wanted revenge. After hearing her voice echo through the temple. I realised we needed to give him a chance. For katas sake.
I couldn’t hate him seeing Kata outside the temple, just by herself. We’ve seen already what love can lead a Jedi to. Shows how broken their tradition is.
Cal gave him many more chances throughout their final meetings. He gave him so many he would be dead if he hadn't broken those blasters with his Force power.
Listening to her sing this song had me in tears considering the circumstances that was happening in the game

I needed to come back here because moments ago, I successfully 100% completed the game on Jedi Grandmaster. It feels like I can finally soak in this accomplishment, even if in the grand scheme it is small...

This song just gets me thinking that Kata has to have some sort of connection to the force because of Bode.
Cal and Merrin adopt her cal will train her to be his padawan she’s force sensitive Bode shouldn’t have betrayed Cal Bode and kata could of had a peaceful life on Tanalorr it’s a Whole Planet Hidden from the Empire I don’t understand Bodes problem with cal and the mantis crew and Cordova Living there in peace hidden from the Empire Helping the Hidden path hide other Jedi survivors or Force sensitives there and cal Training them to be Jedi to build a Hidden Jedi Army to Bring Down the Empire . Eventually.

The original clip I had was actually a bit sharp so I brought the whole thing down a tiny bit to match the closest note. Didn't want to go microtonal haha

There is also one with just bode singing, but this one he is breaking down as he sings and starts calling his wifes name.

Loved this song in the game. It added so much emotion leading up to the final battle with Bode. Very few songs will make me stop the game and just listen.
Song aside, great work on Jedi Survivor! The only thing that would have made the ending better would have been if Kata didn't act so mature about the whole ordeal. A kid that young doesnt react like she does. Lean into the emotion a bit more and have her crying over Bode's body with the instrumental of this song playing in the background and it would have been perfect. She should hate Kal for it and Kal would have to deal with the fact that his fighting-even for a good cause- has caused collateral damage to friends and innocents he never dreamt he would harm. That would also further a prominent theme in Survivor- being more than just a lightsaber.

I want this song but Apple Music doesn’t have it. It is very emotional especially when Bode sings with her. 😢
I really love this, and I don't know if this is just an artifact from recording Kata in the game or what is happening, but there are some scratches and/or machine working sounds that are quite distracting for me through out the vocals. Hope this is read as positive feedback
It's actually ship noises that I wasn't able to get rid of without damaging the vocal. It annoys me but there's nothing I can do :)
