Just hearing that... it is a very special stadium... Every city, every village has a special football field. Nothing special. Perhaps the players receive enormously high wages due to excessively high entry fees.😂
That’s your socialist club for you. Maybe they should just shut up about politics. I the s football, no one cares. Btw thatcher left 35 years ago stop whining ffs
They were paid. My nan was one of them. She moved to Whiston after it. Being from Toxteth myself I can absolutely say Whiston is a far nicer area than the slums of Anfield were.
Nice to see the stadium now half done... long overdue. But those houses claiming to be "regen" look absolutely awful, completely unsuitable for the area around such a massive football club. Perhaps the work of the resigned ex mayor Joe Anderson and friends should be looked at again?
Absolutely love these back in time videos.
Need to get the rest of the Stadium done.
Why are the house's all boarded up?
Liverpool destroyed the area how have they regenerated it am from Anfield and it’s absolutely minty
What regeneration have LFC done - a couple of murals of players on the side of houses ?
Spoken like a true bitter
What a dump with a stadium to match.
What exactly are you championing here?

The locals were kicked out of their houses to make way for corporate development. Nice rejuvination.
