Impressive, very nice.
Let's see Paul Allen's list of the most expensive restaurants of New-York
I love all the American Psycho quote's. Only the initiated get it. Lol
@@GangstaStan010 but we are initiated, aren’t we Bru- oh wait wrong film 💀
Let’s see Paul Allen get a reservation at one of these places.
He’s got an 8:30 res at Dorsia …
Please. Nobody goes there anymore.
Hahaha let’s go Dorsia
@@marquisewilliams3904 Is that Ivana Trump over there?
Per se is kind of like Dorsia already. And I believe Le Bernardin is even mentioned in the novel
Nice list. Let’s see Paul Allen’s list.
Look at the tasteful thickness of it, oh my god, it even has a watermark
Paul Allen's list only contains one restaurant.
@@ash_rma96 he could've gotten himself a table
Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now...
I was waiting for Dorsia ..
no one goes there anymore.
@@hurensohn7605 is that Ivanka trump?
So, where do you guys workout?
@Jay NYCE
I was going to say that lol
I can’t get a reservation 😃
I dined at Daniel's last week with Paul Allen. I had the peanut butter soup with smoked duck and mashed squash. New York Matinee called it "a playful but mysterious little dish." And then the red snapper with violets and pine nuts.
Sounds good
Impressive very nice
Thanks Patrick
I'm thinking Dorsia
Impressive, very nice.. Have you heard of the Dorsia? It's a restaurant so catchy that most people don't get any reservation, but they shoud. Because it's not only about the pleasure of luxury and the importance of french cuisine, it's also a personal devotion about the chef himself.
Paul Allen can instantly get a 7:30pm dinner reservation anywhere for free due to his sheer awsomness.🎉
So we are just gonna ignore the fact he said NY was famous for its DEEP DISH PIZZAS? New York is QUAKING!!!
Chicago is insulted
Was looking for this.
Ya what the hell?
69th like
i was gonna say this thank you for commenting
I love luxury, I pray who ever sees this be successful in life 💖
Amen
Yes💅🏾🖤
New York is not famous for deep dish pizza, that’s Chicago.
You too
Thank you and wish you the same.
7- Daniel on the upper east side
6- la bernidin
5 - Jean george
4 - momofuku co
3 - eleven Madison park
2 - per se
#1 -! Masa , really worth the spend, they treat you like royalty ,the food is extremely fresh and professionally prepared.
But the portions are so small, you come home and you're hungry again plus you just lost your entire month's pay check on that dinner and now you're broke again. Oh well, back to ramen.
Worth the spend? Pleeze 🤣
@@lambro4014 They're actually not. I thought the same thing until I actually went to a Michelin-starred restaurant. The portions are small, but you get anywhere from 6-12 courses. I was so full I couldn't even finish dessert, and surprisingly, these places were totally cool with you taking home leftovers. They bag them up nicely and you can pick them up at coat check!
@@lambro4014 People who go to Michelin restaurants make more than $500 a month.
If you're reading this you have the potential to create great things. Yes. You.
Thank you so much for this touring of New York cuisine my friend. I can't wait to try it someday. Greetings from Brazil.
great video as always!
Thanks for the tips. I've got a 8:30 res at dorsia on friday.
Dorsia on a Friday night, how'd you swing that......???
I think you're lying. 😂
Nobody goes there anymore
This is super amazing to watch
Thanks for this video
0:10 lol he said deep dish was one of the things in New York. I’m just shocked how he got that wrong
Chicago.
yeah straight away he discredited himself. NYC also doesn't have anywhere near 20 million people. but oh well, youtube channels are like main stream media, profit before facts.
@@OperationNonsense actually the NYC metro area has 20 million people but the central core has 9 million people
I was gonna say I hope i'm not the only one who missed that! lol Were not known for deep dish at all, everyone knows thats Chicago... great video besides that, must have been a typo. We're also known for our BAGELS, and Lox, our Breakfast sandwiches, and Halal Carts! Besides being known for that, you can find good quality anything here in NY.
Impressive. Very nice.
“Famous for its hot dog carts, and deep dish pizzas”
*Chicago has entered the chat
“Bang bang”
Love the videos
Tasty food is made through love, dedication and patience.. It's an Art making💕🥰
Thanks so much
Great video!
they have sea urchin ceviche?
love this video very cool, I love luxury but I'd never let it go to my head, I'd always keep it real regardless. I thought the kids in the beginning of the video talking with the chef, to have a restaurant all to themselves, you don't see that every day. that was cool. lol. lucky kids!
This makes me hungry! 👑
my stomach is ringing
As someone who dined at Per se and Masa , those were the best food i had in my entire life. And yes all other chicker i had after Per se's milk poached pillard its heavenly.
Informative. Interesting
Impressive. Let’s see Paul Allen’s list.
Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now!!!
Overly Hyped ! I tried Jean George, aLe cirque and Per Se! Yes it s beautiful and immaculate service but be assured there a few excellent restaurants in the city for half the price ticket.
Deep dish pizza in NYC? No way! That’s Chicago
ikr , makes the video loose creditability like it just used a wiki to make this video LOL
What is deep dish pizzas anyway?
I have dined several times at Daniel (ok but disappointing considering the chef's talent, hype and the prices), Le Bernardin (great value for money for seafood lovers), Eleven Madison Park (very creative cuisine that does not always work, but great experience nonetheless) and Per Se (consistently good and definitely worth the trip). Although not on this list, the Chef's Table at Brooklyn Fare is another noteworthy restaurant worth going to. Finally, one of my favorite restaurants in NYC is Jungsik (creative Korean cuisine) definitely worth a trip.
When it comes to global cuisines, NYC is hard to beat, but for high-end gourmet cuisine, it does not come close to Paris. There are a dozen restaurants that are better than any restaurant in NYC.
Thank you very much for your in depth description Alex! It is greatly appreciated.👏 Good day to you sir.😔😙👌
Can you send me a gift certificate to eat?
Agreed on Daniel! My expectations were far higher
I keep hearing good things about per se.. i have only been to this really fancy french restaurant in my state with some locally famous chef... I love good food. I'm excited to try mitchelin star food
Nice, very impressive. Now let's see Paul Allen's list
I was in New York City for only one week, dined Tuesday at Per sé, Wednesday at Le Bernardin and Thursday at Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare. Ordered the Chef’s tasting menu at all three, all three have three Michelin stars, all three were amazing but for me…. Chef’s Table was the best.
this video is shockingly accurate for RUclips
Hmm . majestic
Is this Dorcia?
LOVE. NEW YORK❤️
A rarely known cause that increases price in such restaurants is that they usually serve caviar. The thing with caviar is that the head/top chef(s) will inspect each container of caviar (when it is delivered) and eat a full tea spoon off each. If there are 2 top chefs at the helm, they both eat it and call it the most exciting part of their day. You can see this in many youtube videos when they show the chefs going about their day. The cost of that is forwarded to customers. Owner type chefs might just taste a tiny bit of each container as quality control (to minimize cost), but hired chefs (not owner) will take full advantage of this "quality control". And you'd be paying for both their salary and their caviar.
Eating the same stuff every day is a wasted life.
👍👍👍nice
Foodie Capital 😋
Cool.
I live in Spain, and as in Portugal, Italy or other mediterranean countries Im pretty sure I can east as good as those restaurants by one tenth of their prices... Seafood, meat, fresh vegetables, cheese, wines...
I’m watching this video and isn’t it ironic there is a Little Caesar’s ad....
Jean Georges is my favorite in most of the countries.
NYC has many hidden gems that you do not have to skip your mortgage for...Brooklyn has many...
I just finished perusing the menu at Masa and noted the following...."We ask that guests limit the amount of perfume they wear, so as not to interfere with the experience of other guests. Please be conscious of the amount of perfume or cologne you apply before your meal ". something I've not seen before.
Super like channel ✅👏👍
@0:12 Literally New York is not famous for it's deep dish pizza lol
Anh đức phúc hát hay quá 😍😍❤❤
LOL, I literally eat a bowl of cereal with a scoop of peanut butter and I am one happy camper.
Dorsia?
no can do
9anat chof bladak 🇲🇦👍
These places are soulless, sterile and awkward at best. Nothing like the Roux brothers le gavroche with its intensive charm and closeness almost family feel.
I agree. The first thing I imagine when I think of a good restaurant is its warm sense of comfort and familiarity and I don't see any of that in these restaurants. I hope that one day I can have the kind of restaurant that I envision, where people can create good memories.
@@dannbarod6269 Dann when you no doubt will achieve your dream remember to give me a buzz with the location and menu. Good luck old boy.
Exactly. And than imagine paying 300$ for just a tiny piece of meat with sauce thrown randomly and a leaf wtf.
Dorsia isn't here because no one can get an reservation there.
Nobody goes there anymore
Except for Paul Allen. One table is permanently booked for that guy in Dorsia.
On 6:34- that's not Per Se, that's Surf's Club in Florida!
We Should've gone to dorsia, I could've gotten us a table
I can see it now. Gecko and Bud across the room from Paul Allen and Patrick.
He lost me at "deep dish pizza"
Hmmmmm.you sounds pretty good..
Golden Corral- $15 for all of the steak, seafood, pasta, salad, pizza, fries, ice cream, cake and pie you can eat.
Per Se was my favourite resturant is it still in business
I thought Chicago is the king of deep dish pizza? NY is the king of thin slices.
5:53 - “Black truffles” uh… aren’t those Chocolate Truffles
I've eaten some pretty expensive food in my life and I never feel like it's worth it. Its not that the food is bad, it's just not worth the cost. People who say it is are simply convincing themselves that it tastes better because they spent so much money on it. No one dropping that kind of money on food want to feel/admit that they are morons wasting their money. Yes. I've wasted my money a few times.
The food comas sux too, plus I don’t want anybody choosing my food. I’ve done about 7-10 and I have never been blow away.
You might come out hungry after a $300 meal. I am sure some people see the quality and that’s why these restaurants are in business.
I'm surprised you didn't have Dorsia on the list.
Out hundreds of dollars, and you're hungry a few hours later.
*Minutes
YOU ARE LOVED
But will those beat the "poor student combo" menu from the food store across my rent? It costs $1
It consists of plain rice, mashed tofu, black soy stir fried tempe, crispy grated spicy potato, a sunny side up egg, and a beverage (either ice tea, ice coffee, water or orange juice)
And yes, the package menu is named (mahasiswa miskin kombo) and it's listed as such on the menu
In this video I remember years ago that I was talking to the Chef about these places and he told me that he would not go to these places because they are very expensive, since I was working at fine dining place and that I had worked in 2 5 star,5 diamond hotels, food show, among other places and he looks for deals, as his wife was from Brazil and he had a daughter and he lives in New Jersey and he would drive in taking the GW bridge, just pay in yes, going out free
Missed the best French restaurant in NYC...La Grenouille.
As of March, 2022,it will cost $1000 ( before drinks) per person at Masa
Chic Restaurant
Deep dish pizza?? Wrong city bro.
My buddy texted me this video. Proud and slightly shamed to say I’ve been to most of these places…
Did I hear him say NYC famous for their deep dish pizzas 😧
Wow, French or Japanese chefs!
When we go out to a beautiful luxurious restaurant 🍾🍝🥖we eat slow & behave very sophisticated....🤣
Dorsia? Nobody goes there anymore.
I don't need a tire company to tell me where to eat.
If someone in youtube doesn't even get the details of what might very well be the most iconic and recognizable street food in the world (deep-dish pizza?), does anybody really think he is going to hit any marks talking about the complicated culinary points of restaurants he has EVIDENTLY never even been near to? According to him, the French Laundry is in the Time Warner Center... He also calls Masayoshi Takayama something like "Chef Takiyama."
Damn Dorsia didnt even make list
They are lying.
you can eat food from all around the world(authentic)in newyork
when plate is served with tiny amount of food then it will called luxury!
My total Food Budget per month is between $400 & 450 per month... Holy cow!
Hello Jane
Was the Scarface restaurant scene filmed here ?
Finished watching 8:25
I wonder why he never mentioned doria from America psycho in the movie he try's to get a reservation and gets laugh at
Looks impressive but I’ve tried fancy food before and looks can be deceiving. The tastiest food you will ever taste will be the cultural food you find on food trucks and family-owned restaurants. Cheap but flavorful.
20 million is the metro population. The population of the five boroughs is just 8 million.
Chefs table at Brooklyn fare is number 2 in expense
If J were bond to stay in NY for some rule, J will live in Brooklyn, Dumbo District. Why? There is the Financial District you know, but it is the old financial platform from the ancient docks along the river.
Nowadays in my opinion there is below another financial platform, under all the bridges.
so do you guys love French food, I really love it but I cannot afford these cuisines😭
French food luxury things
Because u didn't touch grass in 420 years
I eat French Fries
@@sussybaka4417 He's /she's league of legend and valorant player that's why
Chicago deep dish pizza > NYC deep dish pizza
And I’m from NYC 😂. I’m biased so obviously we got better pizza. But when it comes to deep dish, Chicago HANDS DOWN
Just by watching this it's already hurting my wallet,I'll just go to the local Golden Corral and spend 17 bucks and eat all I want instead of small portion plates that cost that much
😂😂😂👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Golden Corral?! Don't punish yourself like that man. At least go to Chili's lol
food in London, newyork,Sydney, shanghai, hongkong,Singapore,Dubai,Tokyo are all authentic but too expensive
also tornoto
Where does Dorsia stack up on this list?
Half of these joints dont have a good bathroom to do coke in.
cameraman could not get a reservation
Yeah and Texas is most famous for its nachos and kale salads.
No way I'd ever pay this much money for food. Id feel way too guilty of all the poor and homeless people who haven't eaten in days
