Just made it and painted etc , took my time 4 days with lots of cups of tea etc , not a bad fit , finished of blue part of hull with clear varnish. Comes up a treat , ps the real lifeboats inshore are just across the road 😊😊👍👍
Sounds great!
Looks like a lovely little model James!!
Thanks Nige, nice to see you back.
Hi James.. I finally got round to subscribing to your channel! I've just watched a video from Nigel and he had a link to you :) He also said, and I agree, that the Shannon kit isn't really a /starter/ set, I think because the railings are fiddly and fragile. On that note there's no external frame to stop them getting bent or broken.
thanks👍🏼
Thanks for the review James, the fit of the parts looks superb, I shall enjoy this build.
Thanks
Cheers for the review 😊👍🏻
No problem 👍
Must be huge boat in real life. Taken aback by the large size of the kit at 1/72. Looks to be decent quality for the price point too
It's roughly 13 metres (42 feet) long in real life, sure is.
Y do modlers make it look hard to do when it's easy as pie simple but the way you go no if it's hard it's not
It might be easy - If you've got two hands that work - I haven't my friend.
