It’s a situational smoke it’s a normal site take and you have no idea how many enemies are on site just do the normal one if you know you have an advantage on site or already have site and looking to resmoke do the spawn one
@@xsomili5501 hes saying it because the person "feels stupid" when he shouldn't; meaning he didn't catch on to what tenz said about it being situational
It's only bad if you know for sure all the enemies are on the other site. If elbow hasn't been cleared yet and there could be a guy still in halls the default smoke is still better. It's not that big a deal in most situations, usually you want the default mostly because you assume there are players back hall. It's only really in situations where your site hit goes perfect and you clear everything so fast the players on the other site haven't even started rotating that this smoke is better. Otherwise if theres a guy back halls and you do this smoke then the guy holding CT has to worry about a peak from left or right. Generally smokes will go down before site is fully cleared as well. This would be a better re-smoke once everything is cleared. There's not only one way to do things, everything in this game is situational
@@Danyol23 the title and thumbnail are also misleading. Because it sounds like this smoke is bad. It's not bad, it was bad in this one situation. All of "default" smokes can be bad in one situation and all "bad" smokes can be good in the other. I also thought about that as an Omen main since my smokes are hollow but I still use the bad smoke because it was the default thing to do...Gotta get used to not smoking it like that then
Tenz explains that the smoke is situational. If you and/or your team have control on B, and you *know* all the enemies are on A, then you do this smoke. Otherwise default is fine
@@yubiyu4life That is true, When entering a site, default is fine and when doing a post plant then you don't want to do the default smoke as they will be able to go to elbow as tenz explained.
@@jeremydeveyra2462 This smoke is only good if all enemies are rotating through their base. In this 2 v 1 situation The brimstone now has access to 2 paths to enter the site from (and that just if you know he's coming from CT, which you dont) you went from having to defend 1 or 3 potential angles to defending 2 or 4(depending if you know theyre CT). Now isolating 1v1s for brim is a decent chunk easier. Ppl like to think smokers can do no wrong because they filled. Little things can throw rounds.
I do both smokes depending on situation. Nothing wrong with that. He could go elbow and you guys can still peek off each other. When the bomb is planted, makes it harder for the enemy to be elbow without making noise or the bomb explodes
@@BrokDoidao Either way if its a 2v1 its better to play together. Both players playing elbow is the worse possible scenario unless you wanna bait each other lol.

They could just flash thru and now you have no control over ct where as if you smoked default even if they flash out you can play anti so much easier and he has 3 angles to check straight away . Not just tube or hookah .
everything in the game is situational. in this case they knew the brim was deep ct and brim has no flashes, hence why the smoke is good. if it was a phoenix or skye or kayo or whatever, it would be different.
the smoke is good if u do the one he said, but the logic is bad about if u smoke spawn off instead of ct, since u can be anywhere on site, it is the same with the ct smoke u can be anywhere, the spawn smoke will work if ur more agro
Yeah you're exactly right, the best strategic approach is to smoke normally, and hold it together from different off angles, thats unloseable, if the opponent doesnt have a flash (like Brim didnt in this case). One of the cases where the deeper smoke is better is when you have an op, so you can hold and then a teammate swings on contact. In almost all other cases though he's wrong, and kinda shouldn't be saying nonsense like this like its a general fact. Theres a reason why we've never seen that deeper smoke in VCT, even when it is better, its not better enough to justify the adjustment that has to be made to play around it, it creates an opportunity for the opponent to isolate 1v1s easier and also clear site more easely. If you have an op holding the cross, dont smoke CT but smoke deeper, and thats about it.
