One time in my iron games ive had this omen ob my team and basically he just never used smokes even in clutch situations and i ket begging him to be useful instead of bottom fragging and not placing smokes

It just so happens that everytime I use an unconventional smoke to enable several exit-points or apply pressure or whatever I get flamed by the teammates that don't understand how to play with it. So I go back to using smokes everyone on my team can understand. I'm Plat/Dia by the way...
Communicate and tell them what u're smoking.
For example:
"Hey kay/o, I'm smoking close so we pop flash at entry, it's our eco, let's risk it"
-did a great smoke for a jett
-didnt know what to do to play around
-flamed me for the entire match, even tho I carried him
Aimed for plat to always get teammates that understand what smokes are for. Still get this guys, who cant even imagine enemy hiding in a smoke. Dissapointed, back to duelist
Maybe you’re using them properly, but usually the people I meet that use them are doing it at the expense of their team.
The doctor freeze clip makes sense, because he’s alone on a site with 2 entry points. A normal smoke won’t help because no one else is watching the entry choke, and he can’t watch 2 entry chokes at the same time, so by doing his smokes he doesn’t hurt his team but he does help himself.
On the other hand, if your team has rifles and the enemy team is on eco, and 2 other people are on site with you, and you do those smokes cuz you’re playing a judge, youre doing this at the expense of your teammates and selfishly expecting them to just deal with it or play around it.
In that case, the smokes only benefit you in this situation and actually hurt your teammates against your ecoing opponents.
As a omen main this was a really well made video showing how omen is much more than just a 2 dimensional controller, and I love how I can be more aggressive when I need to when I'm omen
same here, omen is great. u can be passive with smokes and aggressive with flash and tp. cant believe nobody would play omen

Just wanted to clarify “smoking off tripwires” and elaborate for people new to the controller role.
The narrator said “smoke off a tripwire,” but you cannot smoke off a Cypher tripwire. You can smoke off other Sentinel “flank watching utility” such as Chamber trip and Killjoy alarm bot and turret because they are vision-activated (alarm bot is similar enough).
Smoking off Deadlock’s sonic sensors would be pointless because they are noise-activated, not vision-activated.

Low elo controllers suck
pretty sure he means smoking it off so you can push inside of it to destroy the util, or smoke your mates wire off so that the enemy doesnt see it and walks into it
A smoke on Cypher trips is horible cause if you catch it he sees you in smoke but u can't see him.

we need more omen mains fr. i play omen just like a duelist and got an 11 winstreak.
tbf as much as I do agree about the not using all your smokes at the start of a round it does depend on the match, map, enemy team agents and enemy aggression level as well as which smoker you have.
As an Omen main I sometimes use both smokes early on at the start as I know that I'll get them back afterwards but using all brims smokes start of the round yeah, that's not ideal

As a controller main, this video made me really proud of how much i've learnt and how much of this video I already knew. And this video is totally right. Smokes are probably the most unique and important role in the game. If done right it could mean the difference of winning and losing. And with a lot of duelst players going to clove, ive had a ton of players throw the game by messing up smokes, denying out team info, this video is a must see for all those new clove players

Tbh smokers such as me knows these things to the heart, its just a lot of us, especially those introverted (like me) don't dare to call for smokes. We fear the consequences to come if anything fails even if it is not our fault.
that's understandable and my advice is much easier said than done: but try to keep the mental that you'll never see these people again. If your comm goes bad and you get flamed, mute them and comm to the rest of the team. If the flame or throw, it happens. Just end the game and go next and try to assume people are down to comm properly til proven otherwise

i played a smoke off site for my solo hold cypher mid attacker push on an eco, saved him, and got him a kill and all im told is an aggressive "i dont ever wanna see that smoke again" by 2 of my friends QQ
Ignore your friends then, I have to ignore my duos yapping half the time too lol
Problem with midsite smokes is that it can also be used by enemy players , smooth brained players who never played controllers or have not seen anything outside the standard smokes never use it to their advantage
If you're a duelist, you just need to shoot and you're already cool. But it's boring, isn't it? Make the enemy fear you without firing a single bullet? Yes. Definitely, yes.
Whenever I’m playing omen I usually tap into smokes and it’s really fun
Nice video, but my god that noise that plays when you're making points is high pitched it hurts
if i smoke mid site my silver teammates wont understand what do to and shout the whole game, theses tips work only in higher elo
generally speaking you are only throwing the mid site smokes for yourself. Dont throw them for teammates that dont know how to use them obviously. Plus, all it takes is one round to tell them "Hey, im throwing a smoke mid site for you. Use it if you need."
Don't focus on your teammates in low Elo. Focus on your play and production
respectfully, anything below plat maybe even diamond, strats and util dont matter at all. Mechanics is all that matters down there

I’m the opposite.
Omen has one less smoke, but you recover them over time.
Paranoia is very clutch when stuck in spots that requiring crossing over or when coordinating with teammates to push.
Teleport same idea, use it to get to spots the enemy won’t expect like higher angles or using it to peak like jump teleporting.
His ult, screws the enemy’s map for a bit and you can go ANYWHERE you like. I usually smoke off heaven sites, wait a bit, then TP into the smoke. His ult is also good to teleport plant by grabbing it then canceling the ult. Helps your team avoid unnecessary fights.
Used to be a harbor main with your same thoughts but now I only use omen now

Depending on how severe it is, we'd recommend seeing a doctor! Lots of gamers struggle with different sorts of neck, back, wrist pain. Apparently it's not very healthy to sit for multiple hours at a time.
Raise or lower your monitor
If its too high or low making you look high or low that’ll cause neck pain
If you have neck pain all the time and changing the position doesnt help that much, talk to a doctor

Try this in low elo and they'll throw the game, then they'll yell at you "why'd you smoke me at site, I can't see them and I died because of you🤡".

The playerbase is finally realizing this now and they are improving so quickly. I can't do my usual strats anymore to easily rank up anytime soon lol. The more people know this info, the more I have to think of my own strategies again to win. Which is fun, don't get me wrong, but this is why I don't reveal my tricks and playstyle most of the time. Because in the end, in this game, once you effectively control information in some way, you have the upper hand. And the controller role is excellent at that. It is called a controller for a reason. I'm not saying that everyone should always play controller however, to the point of making it a 5man, as every role shines in various situations and every agent can become a duelist at some point. Valorant is still a team game. But pair a controller agent up with a player with an average aim but with a decent or good mind, rank won't matter at all. And aim? It won't have as much of an impact if it's suppressed and outplayed by util. Valorant always has been a mind game with team elements from the very start. And I'm so glad I started playing it.
