Thank you for your time, please take care of yourself and I'll see you in the next video.
What an awesome project/kit for a beginner. I caught a male wolf spider over the summer and I have enjoyed caring for my buddy. He has molted once and I was fortunate enough to see him molt. Funny part is I was a severe arachnophobic and my buddy has taught me not to fear spiders. I plan on getting a tarantula within next
Kathie Hoskins you would enjoy jumping spiders as well
Who is in the backround at 14:53? Great job on the vid and nice idea.
we need more vids where you go out hunting for inverts lmao
Clever idea Dan. Please feature this spider in the future with updates
I LOVED this video. It was like a little adventure and I luuurrrvvveee adventures. Going out and about hunting in beautiful woods for cutecreepies makes one cool video!!! I loved it. I miss the UK countryside so much, and the woods are totally my thing! I spent a lot of time in them as a child/teen. My dad carved my name in a tree and it's still there, naaawww. Great video Dan! Very educational.
For those in the U.S. a Grass Spider (Agelenopsis Sp.) or a Wolf Spider (Rabidosa Sp.) would be a good first invert. They can be a bit of a pain to catch, but they are a good introduction to tarantulas and feeding them is easier because they'll take down crickets.
You can have all the spiders in my house. I don't like em
I bought one for my son last Christmas and he absolutely loves it. We go exploring all the time!
TarantulaDan All sorts of critters, but his first love is for spiders. We have found lots of millipedes (even an armoured one once) and some small centipedes as well. Harvestmen are quite abundant too. A few beetles, but I'm not so familiar with the different species of beetles. As for spiders, we have found many of the usual suspects... Amaurobius sp., Araneus sp., money spiders, and a few Textrix sp. (those are the ones I can identify anyway).
Awesome video, brother. going in the wild and trying to capture a "pokemon" showing various of the creatures you found on the process. haha i loved it.
Best regards from Brazil.
I hope you make a future video to see how This spider is doing! (when the eggs hatch and such) Thanks! :D
you should unbox a pray mantis
I enjoyed the video! As a suggestion (Do not have to really listen to this really) but if in the future you do more videos like this, maybe after you find / catch one to do some research on the insect such as having footage of the hunt, and footage after you have done some research (or if you already have the knowledge of that insect) and explaining about its habitat and what it eats etc, so when fans find the same insect they already have some info about how to take good care of it. Would be great to have some info about the insect and would make some good footage aswell!
EDIT: It is just my suggestion though, that sharing knowledge about the insect could attract more curious people such as myself :)
You did explain a lot about the insect but if someone were to use that spider world aswell, some info about its habitat and food it eats would be great! Would make it easier for novices like us to setup a nice spider world for them.
Anyways loved the vid! keep it up man!
Geeze dan, careful with that knife.
Its Like the Blair witch project when ur in the woods!!!
I really enjoyed this video, Dan! Things like this are some of the best incentives to institute the younger generations to take interest in respecting, nurturing and learning more about our fragile planet.
I very much love watching Nick Baker's documentaries. He is an excellent British documentarist.
Thanks for the brilliant video, mate. Legend!
I used to hunt spiders all the time in Washington state when I was in highschool. The spiders would get huge by the bridge in my town because it had lights for nighttime. Good times
harvestman ( Opiliones) aren't spiders but they are indeed arachnids one of the oldest arachnids they are very similar tailless whip scorpion, 4 sets of legs and two pedipalps in many Opiliones these take the form of grabbing arms but the ones found in the uk and europe tend to be much smaller wile in others tht can be larger then the the legs
lol sure... I don't know if you're trolling or just don't know any better ?
Katy Checkley ?
would this work for a Velvet Worm??
Wow i didnt know you have a nature adventure vlog/video make some more video like this it really enternaining
You should try and find a green crab spider or green huntsman heads up they aren't very common also have you ever seen a common jumping spider because i saw one on a tree in my garden tried to catch it and it jumped into a bush I was quite annoyed 😂😂
You should feed the spider 🕷the maggots
Of course when those eggs hatch out they will be out those air holes in short order.
Did u say harvestman? We call them daddy long legs
jay mcmillan no. Harvestman doesn’t have wings. We call daddy long legs crane flies
Do you keep ants
Amazing
This is a great idea. I'm going to get one for my kid....and possibly me.
Search at night there would be more spiders then
Where was this when a large house spider dropped on my head last night 😂
in what hell do you live for this to happen?
TarantulaDan jumped about a little, found a makeup fan brush to gentle move it off me into a jar. Named it Bob and released it once my cat lost interest 😂
Fritz Kühne just boring old England.....
Old house, there's loads knocking about.
Nicola Locke I had many spiders 🕷 ever a red bluck
Will we get an update?
I've been wanting to give spider keeping a try, I'd like to catch an orb weaver and give it a sizable enclosure. What do you suggest I feed it? I'm assuming prey has to be live but I'm curious if it can have a mixed diet.
I would have absolutely loved that as a kid. I'd spend hours every day during summer just catching spiders, snails and anything else interesting.
Can't find much in the us right now because it's winter. I just collect food for the spiders I have right now.
I absolutely love spiders (UK) ones, I don’t think I would be able to cope with tarantulas, I love your videos as you always give the common names, also you mention which one you can handle and ones you can’t! You do great videos so please carry on! 🕷🕸🦂
Good vid lad keep it up. :)
love these videos do more of them, KEEP IT UP:)
Its a nice package for a tenner
lol why did i click this i am arachnophobic the intro gave me anxiety
So what happened to your new pet spider? And the eggs ofcourse? You haven't seemed to have made a update video.
Could a larger british spider eat a mealworm
More videos like this!! 😀😅
Spiders are THE BEST CREATURES ON EARTH

Duty James best comment XD
Velly good
why is there maggots`? i thought they live in dead animals
Very cool concept, could be a great gateway for getting more people into the hobbie.
I had a few decent size house spiders i kept around before i got my first T
I really enjoyed this video, super interesting!

I like looking at them and feeding them but im scared of spiders i woud like to go out in the uk a show some of are spiders we have in the uk
I don't dislike many spiders but hobo spiders are dicks.
No substrate provided though. Does the instruction book mention it?
Very nice and educating! This is so cool!
Some of the spiders i found are not from the uk big and funny looking and they go for you when you move them
Yes. We would like more outside adventure videos. That was great!
I could never keep bugs from the wild. I do tend to take them in a cage to study for a bit but I can never keep them. I feel like taking them and keeping them from where they have their home is kinda mean because they've already gotten settled. It just kinda hurts my heart.
CryingFire They could care less, all they want is food and shelter
harvestman are actually arachnids though
Shit myself when the knife slipped twards him
I got bit by a harvestman spider as a kid it hurt for an hour but thats about it
Im getting that for crimes
You're right I want more videos
Dan look up mresteve you look just like him
I feel violated by how you opened the box...
I ride my horses in those woods haha you really are down the road 😂
I plan on getting a tarantula next month or after the first of the year. Can't decide on which one I want to get. Any suggestions. I would like to get one with some color. How about a pumpkin patch tarantula?
Kathie Hoskins green bottle blues are great t's for beginners and they have lots of color!!
love the show keep them coming
This channel makes me itch
Great video!
Steve1989MRE
What a crappy ass knife XD.But great video, getting interested in having spiders instead of fearing them.I hope they ship to Germany as well.
*when you live in the UK and you have to open a box with a kitchen knife because you can't have a proper knife*
Mr. Mercury you can have any knife you want, you're just not supposed to carry blades over 6" 😄
Update???
