@@Astrokeofluck oh I got exactly what I picked out for myself nothing crazy 16GB RAM with 1T SSD laptop/tablet combo type machine I could’ve even had MacBook if I’d wanted but Im not a fan of MACOS been PC most of my life no need to switch now for me
How long after signing equipment 1059 until you received desk/supplies in the mail? I start in the Fall and signed my supplies form a few weeks ago and was wondering an ETA? Thanks!
Let's say you have a cheap home desktop computer and a cheap laptop too. Let's say both of these are the cheaper ones that slow down and freeze due to the amount of software programs installed for school. Is it justifiable to request a more powerful computer ($6000) to be able to handle all past college related programs, present college programs, and future college programs? Just because we pass 1 course in computer science does not mean we can uninstall the programming language software we just learned. We need to be able to keep it, so we can continue practicing it throughout our college years, so that we can be proficient and at level expert with them by the time we graduate. Or will a VRC tell us VR&E cannot buy a laptop that strong because we already own a laptop that is good enough for one programming course at a time?
From my understanding, if you can justify it (your computer is freezing/crashing running the programs you need and is hindering your rehabilitation/education), the VA rep can get it to you. I would write a request in writing via email. Make them deny you in writing so that you can appeal. Stress that you are at risk of failing and/or spending countless additional hours attempting to do your school work and the quality of your work is diminished. That would be my suggestion. Hope you get what you need!
Got approved 2500 for laptop and printer. I would like an ipad for my books and notes. Everything falls just under $2,000, can I request an Ipad or its it either or?
Many VRC's are like that. You have to do a lot of your research on the VR&E manuals (M28C) and use their own guidelines against them. There is a high chance before they talk to you that they will already have their minds made up to deny you. But if you meet the M28C, and "fight" for your rights, then you can get them. I am still trying to figure out all my rights for a powerful laptop for a computer science degree.
That’s exactly what I did that’s how I got my laptop with desk and chair combo included
Hell ya! That's awesome
What were the specs on the computer? Anything good or just run of the mill? @doomkid1331

Great video, Do you have any infomation on payment cycle of subsistence allowance and employment allowance? Thank you bro!😀
Subsistence is paid monthly. End of every month, I believe. Employment, I'm not certain but probably similar
This helps because I haven’t got a damn thing bro. I’ll need a few
Get some free shit!

Can you share a link to the official Documents M28C please?
