I'm definitely counting down the day till 24 is released, which is 2 days after my birthday. How nice of Microsoft to make a Sim just for me.😊 My only concern is how much the graphics quality will be affected when my internet decides to not work, which happens way too often.

I’m praying FBW, Fenix, and PMDG 737 all come and improve even more in the new sim.
He didn’t list his PC specs and his internet speeds. Microsoft say that the ideal speed should be 100mbps so the quickness of rendering the terrain will depend on our download speeds. Much of FS2024 will be streaming from the Cloud.
Which means you won't be able to make the experience as locked down/stable. One day it may just run crappier because of the internet being lame. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

Hey man, if your going to showcase the new edition before official release. You should list your PC specs in the disc.
It wasn't on his PC. It was MS hardware. Apparently it was 13700k (maybe 14), 4080 Super, 64 RAM

Looks like there are still many issues that plagued 202, LOD issues, tiling, morphing, poor ATC and so on.
Otherwise it looks very nice.
Is it just select areas where most missions take place that have high detailed landscapes, or the whole Earth? And what about MSFS 2020 and all the aircraft we bought? Would they carry over to 2024?
Asobo has said all aircraft from 2020 will work in 2024. It's up to the individual devs if they want to update their planes to include new features related to 2024's improvements though.
Great presentation, liking what I see so far, especially with the scenery and interface.
If possible could you show the handcrafted airports like KJFK, KDFW, or LFPG?

I was expecting a huge difference & boom change against 2020. Honestly it feels exactly the same. Not worth it expend 200$ at all.
Yeah, plus I'm pretty underwhelmed by how this version supposedly runs better and yet it looks to run... worse
So when you ran the this version of the sim was it through the cloud with rolling cache? Pretty smooth if it was....

What are your hardware specs as performance in this video is not filling me with hope? Do you have native frame gen on your gpu or even using Lossless Scaling to increase frame rate?
Can't say for certain but at 1:40 you can kind of see his performance metrics and what shows, possibly he's using a 4080. Not looking too promising for mid to lower end pc's

Plus you need at least 100mbps download speeds to render the terrain which is what Microsoft recommends.
Why didnt u fly closer to the ground so we can se the detail better... if u do another video plz so we can have a look on the ground :D

I gotta say, at 1:42, the entire terminal just pops in! That’s quite concerning that the draw distance for that is 500 yards… 😂

Good spot! I was thinking the tree draw distance looked decent but that terminal was a bit of a yikes moment. I'm a bit unsure how good the streaming bandwidth will be, especially at launch when its crazy popular.
Not only that, but did you see those taxiways right after that?
Apparently the hotel had pretty rubbish broadband - 12mb I’ve heard. I hope that’s true and not a sign of things to come.
How is optimization compared to 2020?

Ive seen a couple videos where the light looks blown out on the clouds. I am seeing this on an OLED screen thats tuned so I dont think its me. I feel like the light is probably too harsh on the clouds in game, or contrast is slightly too high. Idk. Otherwise it looks really great.
I'm curious to see if HDR is improved and if that will help with it. I can't wait.
I can definitely see an improvement, but as a cinematic maker, does the drone camera behave the exact same way as in 2020?
It actually doesnt and I hope they make it work the same way.

Zero youtube videos showing slow low level flying. I want to see side x side conparisons of a non photogrammety city in 2020 compared to 2024 and a photogrammetry city in 2020 sidr x side to 2024. This is reasonable to inquire but worrysome that no one has showcased this.
it is the same photogrammetry. so some cities very good, some bad and everything between.
How camera modes? is there a fly by camera mode

I think this was recorded when they were invited to the showcase. We all have to wait 2 months. Then again, it's just 2.
@@Sabreshield just? is whole two:) i thought some youtubers have this prerelease version... that sad. when waiting something can not start any game for distracting... i'd like to restart cp2077 but waiting fw190 from flyingiron it was twice announced with "one month", from that time almost 3 gone. it's really driving crazy... so if somebody can show my main place in ms2024 it's would be good damp of that hit:)

@@maikseibel5233 So! CPUs fail all the time and it's a hit and miss whether you get a bad one or not. They're under warranty anyway. Worth using on a flight simulator PC. It's not like AMD didn't have a failure rate of their processors once either, so what's the big deal getting an Intel CPU? God knows how many times I had to do a warranty claim with AMD processors.

I'd be very surprised if MSFS2024 didn't at least have multimonitor in the current msfs2020 form.

To be fair it's probably better optimized right now than 2020 was at launch, but yeah. I'd wait until they optimize it further before purchasing. Its likely they could apply more optimizations between now and launch but we'll have to wait and see. I held off on purchasing 2020 due to poor optimization and bugs mainly.
How do you know its the game? Could very well be the OP, PC specs or Internet?
Nah looks better than 2020 by miles. Maybe performance is a bit edgy.

They said that multicore will be a lot better-supported in 2024 than in 2020.
I seriously hope that they can fix the avatar hanging/standing up out of the plane while in flight before release. That's kind of embarrassing.
I'm surprised that no one has been mentioning that. If that isn't fixed by release date, I'll wait a while. But I'm looking forward to this.
Hi Norman, this was a bug that was found at the last minute, but after a couple of hours, they actually fixed it. I'm sure there are bugs that need to be ironed out and hopefully a good finished product by November.

the spot view is so arcade like.. I HATE Asobo's choice to go against every MSFS release prior to them. Bottom 1/3 of the screen... such a terrible choice. NO OTHER SIM does this.
I'm going to assume the first year will be full of bugs and crashes as was with FS 2020. This time I'm going to sit it out for a while.
I doubt it, 2020 really didn’t have any that made it unusable.

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt here, but it could be because of the internet connection. The Grand Canyon area is in the middle of the high desert with small towns surrounding it. Internet connection seems to be better in cities rather than small towns.
@@Disobedient_One definitly, it might not even be the game just the rig or settings that were applied at the time, im still stoked for this game i just was suprised that nobody else thought that was jarring.

Agree! Looks barely playable at times on his rig. Anyone that uploads something like this should always mention their PC specs, in-game settings and internet speed. Scenery doesn't look anymore impressive either. There again could be his settings

Also there is supposed to be a Flight Planner same as SIMBRIEF which replaces needing that which uses Real Flight Paths yes?
ATC is not gonna improve as they stated. It is still American/Canadian? That is awful.
The CLOUDS were never gonna get improved as they can not release full data from METEOBLUE so still no CIRRUS & Live is not same at all in life.
I seen lots of pop-in textures and never full effects of bad Weather, do WIPERS clear the rain now as they do for Blacksquare Kingair? (only other was Fenix A320)
