  • 98 camaro with LM7 5.3 block. t56 patriot stage 2 heads, 224/224 cam, long tubes and duals. stock 3.42 10 bolt rear. Clean cutting nitrous tuning. Small 75 shot. ran pig rich.
    Dont mind stupid face expression as there are many things to watch for with testing on the street, face expressions isnt one of the i guess. Vid shot with Gopro 2 silver edition

    Im surprised the passenger side floor pan didnt fall out, and crack the welds in the intake......

    To think I wasted time and money making a rear tunnel mount for the bottle in my camaro, when I could have just chucked it on the passenger floorboard.

      It fits perfect hidden where the spare tire is but you can't even fit small children in the back seat so phuk it seatbelt it In !

    That's the only way to tune NOS...seems kind of like a pain in the ass especially on a 4th gen because its a bitch changing plugs on those!!! How big was that shot?

    I have a 1994 Camaro with a 150 shot of nitrous but because of it being an obd1 I’m having a hard time finding someone to tune it. The engine knocks when I use the nitrous. How were you able to tune it?

      Back to timing up 2° for each hundred or that's what they used to say back in the day

      @@johnsheetz6639 thanks for the reply. I just ordered a tunercats tuning kit and I’m going to try to reduce the timing. If that’s the tuner you used would you have a video on how to make the changes and what to change.

    Clean cutting it.Change spark plugs, which I did on that parking lot i drove out and came back to. Make a full pass if you are at the track and SHUT ENGINE OFF as soon as you let out. I coasted back, pulled plugs and then you can read themto see where your timing is, fuel too rich or lean, even spark plug heat range if its too cold or too hot.. If you make a pass and then drive even 1 mile, you wont be able to read plugs. I only did 1 plug so I didnt have to change all 8 onthe parking lot.

    What if you have an automatic car you obviously can't just switch the car off after the pull to check you spark plugs because your gear is in D and you need to put it in P to to switch it off and by the time you do that it's already too late according to you right? So what if you have a manual check the spark plugs If you have an automatic don't bother?

      Put it in N, turn off ignition, but do not lock the column. Or just install a wideband.

      If you have an automatic car, what you need to do is turn the ignition on, and roll it off a cliff, then buy a manual.

      He shut the car off real quick after the pull to not fuck up the reading on the spark plug to see the timing mark and to see if it was rich or lean, so where he stopped he most likely pulled a spark plug to read it to see if it was safe

    You need a bottle warmer. That most likely is why you are so rich ( unless your jets are incorrectly matched ).

      +bluecamaross I bought car from auction modified already. it was tuned. But seems off as if someone tuned for 5.7 NA then blew it, swapped 5.3 in. It was one of the first nitrous hits so I wanted a rough idea where timing is. I suspected it to be on kill mode and 93 octane NA tune. I then dynoed it on 120shot and 150 same tune

      Lots of guys pull plugs on 100 shot or less. It's the SMART way to do it. Plugs are cheap. Especially if you are only reading one or two at a time (presuming you know which hole is the hottest). If you can find the best safe timing on a small shot, it is easy to "trend" it down and pull timing as you increase jet. IDK why you're giving shit to a guy that is trying to be one of the people doing it the right way without blowing up engines. +1 to the video poster for doing things the right way

      datrumakboy1020 it will cause the metal to soften and be only a matter of time before it explodes. Warm it in a hot water bath or a electric bottle warmer
