- In this video, Site Inspections showcases a handover inspection where a Concretor has wrecked the brickwork while repairing the concrete works. Despite the builder's attempts to rectify the situation, the damage is extensive and requires significant repairs.
The video captures the moment when the builder calls the Concretor to discuss the damage and potential repairs.
This interaction provides valuable insight into the challenges faced in the construction industry and the importance of thorough inspections and proper repairs.
The video also highlights the crucial role that Site Inspections, play in ensuring quality workmanship and protecting the interests of both builders and homeowners.

Listen to that dodgy guy on the phone saying he’s not coming back to fix it cuz he “lost money on this job”.. How brazen. Bad luck u lost money, if u r a shitty tradesman who damages others’ property either u fix it or don’t ever work in this industry again
Dude at some point surely you'll just get given a TV show, it's half horror, half comedy thanks to your commentary. But it would be great to see this stuff on TV so people know what to expect/look out for as well as bring more accountability to the industry.
Youre a true Aussie hero man
Thank you for this kind comment my friend ❤️🤣
lol but, it needs to be 100% fake infomation to get on TV.......
I would love to see him do a site inspection on the properties on The Block TV show.
People saying the builder pushing the concreter to do it even in the rain, this is no excuse. If the concreter was worried about it being poured in rain and the builder pushed he should have put liability if it didn't go well onto builder. That way if it doesn't work then the builder pays him to come back and re do it. That would be the standard response from a good tradie.
Issue is he's done it cause he's in a rush trying to get as much work done as possible. I doubt he got pushed to do it. Just a sign of the substandard quality of "tradies" being used cause their the bottom dollar quote. These people give all tradies a bad rep and builders should realise that it will cost them more to fix the issues than if they just took the time, hired quality tradies and did it right in the first place.
Box gutters and sumps. A roofer is installing gutters all year. How do they not know the rules?
Great video again mate. This is so good for people to be seeing what is happening out there. No part of the build should ever be damaged by another trade if they are doing their job correctly. That concreter should lose his licence.
👍 Thanks again for what your doing mate
Glad you enjoyed it
They get their license out of a weat-bix packet...
Hey mate, love the videos you put out! As a bricklayer, I know those bricks chip easily. There has been times where the acid cleaner has had the pressure too high on the pressure washer and blown the face off the bricks. This may be the case with the bricks above, but looks like the concreter may have done some damage too 😳
I spoken to head BORAL sales and development they use to have a dark clay biscuit but now this tan it shows everything
people don't realize the crap - but the job looks messy
the project manager is there blaming concreter
why does he not have a piece of scrap MEMBRANE to protect path from brickies scaffolding ?
I inspected the job prior and there was no damage to the brickwork. You are correct in saying that those bricks chip easily ☺️
@@Siteinspections how much do you charge for an inspection (while being built and post build)?
@@Siteinspectionswait was the concrete already pulled up when you inspected prior? Why is the builder saying the bricks were damaged while pulling up the old concrete? Did I miss something 😅
Love your work mate, one thing though, for future videos can you mention or explain how these issues can be rectified?
I've seen countless videos of you saying non complaint works and no explanation on how they would go about fixing it!! 🤣🤣
There's been some major fuck ups in some of your videos and I've always wondered how expensive some of these costs much be to fix. I.e concrete issues, brick issues, no water stops in bathrooms, undersized box gutters etc
Thanks mate keep exposing the industry for what it is
I'm a bricky and i can tell you if you want those chipped bricks fixed properly e.g. remove chipped bricks and replace with new bricks, that is not an hours work, that is days of work
that guy on the phone is just unbelievable....so what?? you lost money because you did shitty job and damaging that owner's property which is the brick work, maybe better stay off from doing building and construction work then mate. The rule is you damaged it , you bloody fix it. what a total smug
Thanks for the updates, good to see how things turn out or not turn out as in this case.
If only they put as much effort into doing it properly the first time, as they did bandaid'ing the fix/solution... (Flabbagastered)

Was the concreter with bad attitude taken to court if not why not??
The project managers don't give a rats arse. They are only interested in getting the home owner to sign on handover.
I built with Porter Davis 15yrs ago in Lakeside Pakenham and my supervisor was just a prick. I'm still coming across defects. 🤬
One thing I forgot.
I even had windows installed upside down. Really.
Looks like they finally shat where they eat too many times, good riddance
Those bricks are a nightmare to clean without some sort of damage. I’ve refused to use them on certain jobs where the traffic passing them gets busy as they chip so easily. And once chipped they have to be removed which then makes matching up a total and utter nightmare. The bloke on the phone is an arse “ I’m not coming back “. Come back and fix the damage you have caused or fight your corner on why it isn’t your fault.
The concreter should loose their license permanently for that phone call alone.
There was a company that would colour match any bricks using hand mixed epoxy? to permanently colour masonry to match existing brickwork - may be able to do something similar rather than chop out bricks.
I would imagine that they would age differently and it’ll show up over time. For a brand new home, you would want brand new stuff
It has been a product now for many years. It should be known how it ages @@Reillin
Capping flashing is non-compliant. Needs rivets every 40mm in addition to the silicone
Hi Site inspection, how can we book if i need my property to be inspected. I have received list of inspectors but im sceptical choose builderd inspector.
Communication wrt the concreter seems is suspect. The Concretor claimed rework due to rain.
Still seems the Concretor needs to rectify works. Persuading him seems unlikely.
Just shows how supervision while works are in progress is essential
This video reinforces the reason why I only had professional ozzy and kiwi builders on my last build
Keep up the good work mate....save the owner alot of heart ache later down the track ...in some cases immediately
Sounds to me like the builder is ripping off rhe concreter making him do free work and bow annoying him. Conveniently cuts the phone call off when he tries to defend hia actions. Some people in thia business make me sick
How would you argue that the added capping/flashing is not satisfactory? It technically meets the requirements, but the execution and workmanship is poor and will lead to issues in the future.
That's exactly what he said anyway.
Did they come back and fix it?
So whats the remedy for all those brickwork chips?
brown liquid paper - pull them out then acid wash - its a big job -
I have painted small chips on my own home
Wow!!!
You hear about that brand new house in Sydney that collapsed? Man some builders just don't give a fuck anymore. Still some honest blokes but they're rare.
Yeah i think he posted it of FB the day it happened
The builder (Hemisphere Constructions) had their licence cancelled indefinitely.
You are a LEGEND. Thanks for all the awesome content I have watched every video
