"Dance Moms" follows Abby Lee Miller and the nation's favorite tween dancers as they take on Hollywood while new auditions, new competitions, and new studios raise the stakes.
The road has not been easy for “Dance Mom’s” star Abby Lee Miller. After completing her prison sentence last year, the famed dance instructor was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. But if anything, Abby has proven she is a fighter and is not ready to hang up the dance shoes. The new season of Dance Moms follows Abby as she rebuilds her dance company while battling the after-effects of cancer that has left her confined to a wheelchair. Abby is ready to get back to her life and do what she loves most…teaching students to dance! With the goal of putting her life, health and dance studio back together, Abby returns to where it all began - the Abby Lee Dance Company in Pittsburgh.

The way Abby treated Nia throughout this entire show made me dislike her so much. To me, it was not much about how she was mean and rude because I’ve already come to terms with that. It was more on how she treated Nia and Holly - two people who have been loyal to her and her dance company.

It’s sad how Nia is overlooked, as well as some others that were on the show. I feel really bad for Holly though, they both have my respect. I have nothing against the girls, but I am very disappointed that they didn’t come to Nia’s premiere. Yes, the mothers did show up, but they can make those girls go just for respect to Nia. My heart broke when there was the scene where the moms were talking behind holly’s back by talking about her behavior towards the moms and the studio, and then while holly was enjoying watching Nias mv and not realizing what these people are talking about. 😢 bc holly has done nothing but supporting the girls, moms and the studio whenever something exciting has happened.
Man, watching this video I just want to cry for Nia and Holly. They gave and gave and gave to every person on that team and not only did they not get anything back but they were stomped on and crushed. They deserved so much better.

There’s a lot of speculation about whether or not Abby is racist, but I also remember an earlier episode when the girls were practicing walking down the runway (the model way) and answering questions, and Abby asked nia what the heritage of her name was, which seemed SO out of pocket, just like a lot of things Abby has said to other girls as well. Idk if she’s racist, but she definitely used race against nia

Yes, this is no shade to Kendall at all, but I feel like Nia’s music videos were more interesting and her songs had a better message and was more like the stuff you might hear on the radio, while Kendall’s was more of an ear worm that you would hear on radio Disney, because Wear em Out is catchy ngl, but Nia’s music was more mature and better quality.

Holly and Nia are the kindest girl/mom duo. When everyone is watching Kendall sing her song, Nia in the corner with a sad smile. Then Nia says I’m happy for Kendall. None of the other girls really acknowledge Nia’s video. Holly receives zero support from other moms. I’m so sad for them…such a talented girl with no opportunities!
Remember when Nia had that acting audition and Abby sabotaged it. She has NEVER been supportive of Nia and Holly had every right to go and pursue this on her own. If Abby claims to be about show biz then she would encourage girls to pursue opportunities but as well all known Abby was only set on getting clout and manipulating the girls. tbh im so proud of how nia handled everything like a champ, she didn’t pay any kind to anything negative abby said to her yes it probably did hurt her but her response to Abby’s words are just amazing, it was like it didn’t phase her. I guess nia did listen to her mom when she said, “you can change how you react to it” because nia reacted to everything like a mature person, i admire her so much.
The whole point as Abby always says is to “Train professionals so they can have a job in the future” so taking time out of class to pursue those activities if fine. I don’t remember if Abby said this to Kendall or Jill but she was like “This music video is going to compete with Nia’s” and then Jill says to Holly “You’re making this into a competition” which I think is a low blow. Also props to Ava for coming and showing her support. We need more fans for Ava.
