The courts messed up. His license was reinstated, but the court wasn't communicating with it's other agencies so didn't know. Looks really bad for the court tbh, they jailed this guy for 2 days for their mistake when he knew he could be driving.

I like this guys style and enjoy watching him, but he would NEVER be confirmed or nominated for SCOTUS, he'd get torn to pieces in the hearings. To be honest, he's lucky to still be a judge.

He didn't interfere, he didn't get in the cop's way, and he didn't touch anything in the car other than to retrieve her personal effects after the cop told him it was ok to do so.

They don't necessarily give you the option of doing that right now. Because they got used to having sessions with Zoom during the pandemic, quite often they have hearings scheduled as remote from the start. But regardless, he should've had the sense to not be actually driving when it was time for the hearing. He deserves to be in jail.

That's very easy to do. He's appearing in absentia meaning he could have been sky-diving while this hearing occurs. You'd be surprised at how easy it is for defendants to screw up their Court appearance simply because they appeared before a Judge remotely. People get Time Zones wrong all the time, for instance.
I think the strategy was to adjourn the case due to a medical issue. The thing with the doctor’s office was part of the plan, and everything was going according to plan until the judge reminded him that his license had been suspended😂
Mr. Harris seems like a nice guy. My four year old grandson will tell you that his facial expression is the one that you have when your mom catches you with your hand in the cookie jar directly before dinner .

That media station looks it up and he’s right. 3) turns out that the reinstatement was incorrect and when asked if he ever had a license to begin with he says he can’t remember. 4) while in the court room to see the judge, he’s arrested again. This time for unpaid child support. This is wild stuff!
That's why I think it'd be hard to be a lawyer. Not because of the BAR or anything like that. They get out there and deal with people like this and have to try to defend their client as best as possible. Follow Up: The Defendant's Driver License was reinstated back in 2022. Document Judge was looking at was NOT ACCURATE/TRUE. He spent two days in jail and was released.
