For sure, the preference is cultural. What you consider “harder”, I consider “more precision” and attention to detail, which makes a great difference on the result.
Yes, same technique. Gel polish is hard to remove with the metal stick though, so it’s always best to aim on painting the nails only without touching the edges at all.
I’ve tried a thousand times not cutting it and just moisturizing and pushing it back, but that doesn’t work for me. It probably works better for women with thin skin, which is not my case. And in this is video, I’m not saying you should do your exactly the way I do, I’m just showing how I do it and how most Brazilians do their nails.

Not really….
Nice job please advise where we can purchase the metal stick from ?
I buy most of my stuff in Brazil when I go back home to visit. Try Brazilian stores near you, depending on where you live, they may sell.

Fe, que legal! Faço as unhas desse jeitinho tb.
Perfect 😍
Where did you purchase the metal manicure pusher from?
Oh, it’s from Brazil. Try a Brazilian store near you/your city. If I find it online, I’ll post the link in the description.
Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
Thank you for watching ❤️
Your voice is so calming.
Aww, thanks ❤️ I’ve been trying to improve, still working on that 😊
Do you use this technique with gel polish?
Yes, same technique. Gel polish is hard to remove with the metal stick though, so it’s always best to aim on painting the nails only without touching the edges at all.
You're not cutting your cuticle, you're cutting living skin! It's called the proximal nail fold.

Cutting your cuticles is so bad. They are there for a reason.
Then don’t touch yours. I’ve been doing my nails like this for years and that’s how it works for me. Everyone knows what is best for themselves.
