I know Cecil was lying when he said he meant to teleport at his front door cause every other time he's teleported somewhere, he was always spot on. I think he was testing what Omni man would do 🤔🤔🤔
Omni-man claimed the assailant that killed the Guardians jumped them in the dark and he didn't see who it was and couldn't fight back. Cecil tries the same thing, popping in the middle of the house with the lights turned off, and immediately Nolan's hands are wrapped around his throat. So, yeah, poking a hole right through his alibi.
Hey, don't hate on Rex's power too hard - he has Gambit from the X-Men's power: he charges objects up and they explode. The bigger the object, the bigger the boom. The stuff on his belt is there for easy access to various sizes and shapes. In episode two against the aliens he said he was 'down to pocket change' and he probably meant it.
They didn't seem to pick up on the joke of the intro tho. The scene with the ancient Egyptian God that got trapped in the pyramid because Mark couldn't fly properly so he accidentally created a dust storm.

Explaining the episode. * The "Martian slug things" are called Sequids. * The Sequids are not native to Mars and came from a crashed alien ship. * Sequids cannot mind control Martians. * The Martians used the Sequids as slave labor. * The Sequids cannot control Viltrumites either. * But... if the Sequids bond to a Human, that will activate their hive mind and make them dangerous. * The presence of the Human astronauts was deemed to be too dangerous because a Sequid bonding might occur. * So, Martians ordered the astronauts executions as a precaution against one of them becoming bonded. * We thought all the astronauts escaped with Invincible's help, but one was left behind while a Martian took his place. * The astronaut left behind was accidental bonded and the Sequid's hive mind was activated. * Damien Darkblood left his notebook behind, hidden in the closet. It contains his notes about the murders.
When a sequid takes over the mind of a human, for whatever reason it allows all sequids to use that human as a sort of hive mind server. So before they got the human host every sequid was an individual entity acting on it's own. But now that they have a human host, all sequids can act as one.
Sequids can't bond with Martians be of their shape shifting powers. A Martian swapped bodies with the astronaut while they were imprisoned. It's not explained in the show but the Martians actually use the Sequids for labor and experimentation, that's why they keep them around.
Haven't watched the newest episode so idk if we learn more, but I think dark blood just left his notebook in omni mans closet so that debbie finds the notebook and reads all the notes darkblood took and gets more suspicious

the mind control parasites can't shapeshift at all but are extremely strong in relation to their size. the humanoid martians didn't kill them since they decided to keep them as slave drones to do do manual work which is why you saw a lot of them at the cave. they also experimented on them to enhance their speed and their strength. the one that got in to the ship was a humanoid martian, not a sequid.

Rex does have powers, the reason his things explode is his power, he can manipulate energy, and some other shit that I dont quite understand. Rex is a good hero, not a great one, nor is he a good person.
Rex excites the atoms in any object he touches which then causes an explosion so he can turn anything, including your bones, into a bomb and the bigger the object the bigger the boom. He also has enhanced durability so a bullet to the head isn't an issue for Rex. While not a life threatening issue anyways.
I think the effectiveness of the sequids might have to do with the species durability. Since viltrumites are one of the most durable species we've seen, that's why they're pretty much immune. Then martians are less durable which is why they're resistant. And humans are the weakest in terms of durability which is why we're the easiest to take over
I have to be honest, I was a little bias about you guys, but then when you guys were actually on point and called every line, even when you guys haven't watched it yet. If he didn't need to eat, technically Mark would have been fine with no oxygen for that trip to Mars and back.
