  • The BMW 1 series has been replaced by the new 2 Series. It's bigger, has more power, and has an M Badge. The M235i has the perfect blend of performance, comfort and fun making it an ideal everyday driver. How does it compare to my 335xi Coupe?

    Thank you for reviewing this from a daily commuting perspective. I am actually thinking about buying an auto as my commuting vehicle. Thank you!

      You'll be able to commute with fun and zip along with comfort with this car. Take it for a test drive, I'm sure you'll agree that you don't need anymore.
      Cheers

    Ive just bought one of these in the same colour. Its a beast. I was surprised how much faster it was than the old e92 335i which felt stone aged in comparison

      By the way, the prices you mentioned in your video ... were they in Canadian dollars or American ? I'm in the states.

    I just bought a 428i about a month ago and I've been wondering the same thing about the lack of a cut-out for door leverage. It's a bit annoying. My previous cars had this, and I'm always reaching for it as I get out of my car. It's actually more useful when getting out as opposed to getting in the car, because you need something to grab to prevent the door from swinging way out and getting dings in tight parking lots.

  • @drbachata20
    @drbachata20 9 лет назад +1

    Oh my God...THANK YOU for mentioning the lack of a cut out for additional leverage. It's not just the 2 series, it seems to be a problem with every BMW except for the higher end models like the 6 and 7 series.

      I have a 2013 X3 and its has the cut out. It's really annoying.

    I was tore between the 435i and this but when i seen the two parked beside each other in the dealership the 435i won out although i do think the m235i handles slightly better

    Hey! This video was really helpful. Do you think you could do a video on the newer M240i to see if they fixed any of the flaws?

    • @samwan4957
      @samwan4957 6 лет назад +1

      YellowFlare been driving the M240i Xdrive for almost a year now. Don't see any flaws if you ask me. If you are in snow country and snows often get Xdrive, otherwise RWD.

    I love it. I must buy the M240i before BMW does something disastrous to the styling, like they've done to the new 4 series.

    Really considering buying one of these, xdrive is a must for me. I've never driven manual though but really wanting to learn. Which route to go with this vehicle? lol

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  9 лет назад

      I would go manual hands down with this car but that's just me. You might want to learn on something else first even though this is very easy to drive.

    Not too big but not too small, just in the size of Montreal

    Thinking about getting this but concerned about rear seat and boot space. Being a young couple, we will probably never use the back seat till the in-laws or other friends ride along. Is it really unbearable in the back for anyone to fit for a 2-3 hour journey?

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  8 лет назад

      I definitely would not want to sit back there for 2-3 hours. I guess it depends how tall your friends are. My older 2008 3 Series Coupe had quite a bit of room in the rear but still not somewhere I'd like to spend a lot of time. Best thing would be to go sit in one yourself, I may be just too fussy.

      Thanks for the quick reply. I have a MK6 GTI right now and its perfect on space for everyone! Will definitely check the 2 series out soon

    is this car better than the 435i?

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  9 лет назад +1

      Vishal Shah Depends what you're looking for. I think the 435 has great styling but the M235 is smaller and more nimble. And don't forget, its less expensive as well.

    so i just bought this car in same color. before i purchased the car i was a little turned off by BMW placing the M designation on a non-M car. after driving it a few days now and watching this review where all the M upgrades are mentioned I not sure that this isn't a M car.

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  8 лет назад

      This is as much M car as most people need and way more practical. I have found that M cars are a little bit of a chore to drive compared to a non M car in everyday driving. Sure M cars for performance driving but I think you can get the same amount of fun in this car on the street. Just my opinion.

    • @spdrasr3
      @spdrasr3 8 лет назад

      Completely agree. I had 90's 5 liter Mustangs and they were a chore to drive. And another point you touched on they had a drone that becomes unbearable after a while. I got your comment about getting older and not wanting that.

    I bought the dark grey M235i and the rearview mirrors look ok. But grey mirrors on a blue (or red, or white) car do look strange. My least favorite external aspect of the car.

    Idk why anyone would want all these driving techs (parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, etc) for what is a driver's car

    • @EverydayReviews2022
      @EverydayReviews2022  9 лет назад +2

      Mainly for safety. Best thing is that you can turn them off.

    too bad the fully loaded m2 actually comes out to be cheaper than the m235i after all the options.

    • @rohanuva
      @rohanuva 8 лет назад

      really???

    • @MF-pm5dh
      @MF-pm5dh 8 лет назад

      yea man def.
      was at the dealership the other weekend and there was a white/coral red interior msport, fully loaded, soft-top convertible, 2016 m235i xdrive and it was priced a little over 59k on the sticker.
      visit their website and build an m2 and you'll see for yourself. they only have one upgrade (which is about $1800)

    • @MF-pm5dh
      @MF-pm5dh 8 лет назад

      just double-checked to make 100% sure of my claims. and yup, the m2 starts at $51,700. but it's b/ the m235 has much more option and the m2 is just a base model with one upgrade. m2 is meant for true enthusiast who only care about performance and not all that extra bells&whistles bullshit so they were able to fall into that cozy price point of under 60k. now if youre leasing that's a diff story. you're gona be paying (roughly) well over $600/month

    What do people think about the color - Estoril Blue? Am I the only one who thinks it's a little feminine?
