    The wallpaper on One UI also helps you customize your phone by creating a color pallet theme that matches everything in your phone to your wallpaper. So if you have a wallpaper with the colors red, blue, and orange, samsung will give you multiple color pallets in those shades and it will customize your phone to those shades down to even your keyboard. I really like this as it is quick simple and provides you with options to keep your phone cohesive but different

    iOS17 still doesn't give different volume controls for alarms, ringers, etc. and I find the changing of wallpapers a lot more complicated than Android. But as usual apps will always run better in iOS.

    • @TrueDestro
      @TrueDestro 6 месяцев назад +4

      You can set it up so the volume buttons affect ringer, but it's bit.. s*it for a former Android user like myself. It basically affects ringer when no media is playing and media playback if you are in an app which can play something, but sometimes it seeminly bugs out and affects both at the same time.

      ios is always one step away from getting me, but little issues like this add up. Overall I find iphone so annoying to use. People say it just works, but for me it doesn't. It doesn't even come close to working. The volume thing alone is a deal breaker. That is insane to me. It's 2023.

    The Autoblock feature on Samsung is absolutely insane. To me, that is huge, especially the fact that it blocks malicious chargers and USB cables from getting anything. they make completely separate devices that are supposed to do that, the fact that it is built into the software/hardware gives me so much peace of mind.

While my experience with an iPhone certainly wasn't horrible, it was different. After watching your UI review, however, I could see myself considering an iPhone when I move on from My Z Fold 5 because as your review demonstrated, IOS and 1UI essentially do the exact same things, just differently.

    Bravo. I prefer this kind of video over the speed comparisons - which are becoming less and less important because they are both so fast. (Who cares about milliseconds?) They are both great and you can't really go wrong with either.
    I prefer the iphone, but it's easy to see why some prefer the Samsung. It's mostly just personal preference. Just a small gripe... on the lockscreen section, you should've mentioned iphone's StandBy mode and Live Activities. I realize it's impossible to include every little thing, but those are pretty significant.
    Anyway, nice vid. Fanboys on both sides are probably gonna be mad (because fanboys gotta fanboy). But this is helpful for normal people who want to see a useful comparison.

      You can control the animations and make them slower or faster. You can completely turn off the animations even. We have a developer mode so we can customize the phone from the bottom up with native features like that. I customized the animations on my s23+ and made the transitions faster while drawing out the time for the animation itself. It makes for a waaaaayy smoother experience than even other galaxy phones. • @dio8070

    I love how one ui looks similar to iOS know, other then the plane looking apps ( others then App Store ones ) the one ui 6 is actually worth switching over to. It feels more refined.
    Me personally I’ll continue buying apples iPhone and switch out after 4-5 years but I will know buy a Samsung tablet.

    • @dio8070
      @dio8070 4 месяца назад

      Lemme clarify some things, the apps that are pre installed on the phone, for example the weather app. There is a more flare or more pleasing colors that go wells with the rounded icon. Samsung with their preinstalled apps colors are just basic, they are more suited for square icons rather then the rounded square icons.
      But that doesn’t apply to all the apps. Like if I install a app from google play store or App Store the icon will look basically the same.
      And the reason why I prefer apple iPhone is because my friends all own a iPhone. Not many use tablets or use apple tablets

    I went back to IOS for the past 1.5 yrs. And all their updates are so boring. IOS is so limited and they make it so difficult to change any settings. I love how with Samsung you have the settings for the app built into the actual app, you don’t have to exit and go into the dedicated settings app. There’s so much more freedom on One UI/Android. Can’t wait to get my S24 Ultra

    Its just, ios has a smooth feel and one ui has a snappy fast feel
    While both have no stutters
    I prefer one ui , one of the biggest reasons is the one handed operation+ app by Samsung combined with micro gesture app and Samsungs "swipe up" navigation type gestures
    You should talk about these Nick (except micro gesture because its 3rd party app)
    But the other 2 are really changing the amount of steps for doing everything + its easier to use a bigger screen with one hand
    I mean this 31:43 is a joke compared to one handed operation plus app can do

      That little swipe he does from the bottom to exit the app is a swipe gesture to go to home screen and from left and right sides of screen if he swipes he can go "back" ,
      Well in Samsung you can set a navigation type that has all the navigation swipe gestures in the bottom of the screen , you swipe up from left side bottom and goes to recent apps , swipe up from center side bottom and it goes to homescreen, swipe up from right side bottom does the back button.
      Well on Samsung theres also the one handed operation + app wich lets you put 12 gestures like this at the other sides of the screen to open apps , run automations , take screenshots, get the controll or notification panel without having to get your finger on top of the screen , and more things like than , better search " one handed operation plus " to see it because its hard to describe in words

    I do have a few comments as an Android user, certain "features" are barely used by many people.
    Like the split screen option, I tried it a few times but I often just switch between apps instead because it just goes quicker and I can actually see/scroll. I also dislike that my phone doesn't really organize my apps for me, it's always a huge mess.
    I will probably swap to apple in the next year or so, kinda waiting on the SE 4 to come out tbh. I just realy like how clean and organized IOS looks and how simple some things are to find. For example, everything is in the settings, whereas on android you always have to go into the app which I highly dislike, i'd rather have my settings in one location like a control panel kind of idea.
