Ah Bach, how can passion be so refined? And madness so disciplined? Well played sir!
During the late sixties and early seventies I spent many hours listening to the great Segovia playing this. I have been a guitarist ever since but never tried my hand at this brilliant pure composition. Not written for guitar but ably transposed and since Segovia, only repeated with such fluency by in my opinion John Feeley and now this gentleman.
More' hjabin (embrace sanctuary) and sink into bliss.
Well done maestro....you have played so well....the ultimate piece of music...to represent...what humans are really capable of...when riding with the lord...

I'm literally in tears...That was one of the most beautiful renditions of The Chaconne that I've ever heard...simply astounding! Not since Heifetz have I heard the voice of Bach spoken so truly...so perfectly. My Dear Minstrel, you are a divine gift to humanity. Thank you so much! ❤

One of the most beautiful interpretations I’ve heard on a 6-string guitar. Bravo!
As great as Segovia was and John Williams is, this is the beauty of music. Throughout time experts find minor improvements in technique or phrasing. Or perhaps they were limited to the technology of their time, recording technology, or luthier practices. This is the best Chaconne, and it's not even close. Yet none of this would have been possible without the greats that came before.
I'd recommend checking out Moran Wasser's version of guitar Chaconne. Not saying it's better, but definitely comparable in a lot of ways. Be careful saying "not even close" in music

One of the best for sure, but the best one is asturias, originally written for piano, but played on the guitar does sound 100 times better 🎸😊👍

As a classical guitar amateur player myself, and a lover of the Chaconne and this performance, it still sounds better on the violin.
the classical guitar is an instrument with great artistic possibilities and great technical and sound resources, and in harmony it surpasses the violin and the cello, hence why the version for guitar is the best of all.

Wow, einfach nur stark, wie dieser junge Mensch das spielt! Ich bin selbst Gitarrist und konnte dieses Stück mal, aber an den schwierigen Stellen langsamer und immer mit einigen Fehlern pro Durchlauf, daher glaube ich mir ein Urteil erlauben zu dürfen über das, was dieser Künstler hier abliefert. Es ist technisch lupenrein und darüber hinaus sehr sehr gefühlvoll interpretiert, bestimmt auch im Sinne des Meisters selbst! Großartig!!!

I felt this rendition is breathtaking and best among so many renditions I have heard before. Of course Chaconne played by Segovia and Shinichi Fukuda is wonderful but I felt another potentiality from his music. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.

Mit Abstand die beste Fassung mit Gitarre. Im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen meistert er auch die 32tel Passagen ohne Mühe und vollkommen souverän. Abgesehen von der technischen Perfektion, ist es musikalisch großartig interpretiert. Bisher kenne ich keine Fassung auch von namhaften Geigern, die an diese Interpretation annähernd herankommt. Sogar die Aufnahme mit Frank Peter Zimmermann oder Isabelle Faust sagen mir nicht so zu wie diese Aufnahme. Und das sage ich als Geiger, der dieses Stück natürlich auch spielt. Großartig, bravo!!!
