Great video. When I worked at a shop I saw an 18-wheeler with a blown head gasket. He used this Bars Head Seal and it worked. I witnessed the white smoke and the erratic idle stop. This was about 15 years ago.

Just finished doing this. I'm a diesel technician and in school to become an auto technician. My instructor said he would not do this to his vehicle but did say the bad stories he heard where from people who didn't follow the directions . I noticed immediately that it was working. From the initial adding to the radiator then running the engine with the heater on I noticed it was working. Did the drive for 20 minutes and will top off and drive in the morning. GM famous for blowing a head gasket .the cause is the thermostat in the head bad . Just get a fail safe one . I think people should change there thermostat with a antifreeze flush

Great vid! Bars Leaks is the real deal. I have an 04 expedition that was blowing a little white smoke out the tail pipe on startup and burning/losing coolant every few days but not overheating. Had mechanic do a leak down test and coolant system pressure test and sure enough I had a leak..Applied the product as the instructions suggested and just like your video, the results were practically immediate. One thing I will add regarding your video is the misconception of the oil cap residue indicating a head gasket issue. If you live up north it’s actually typical to see that residue if your engine is very cold, you’re driving short distances and aren’t allowing your oil/engine to heat up. That forms the condensation/milky residue on the cap. A true sign no matter where you live is checking your oil dipstick. If the oil in the engine is milky then you definitely have a bad gasket leak, bubbling in your coolant reservoir, loss of coolant but no leaks on the ground, overheating
I bought and used this product before seeing this video and I have to agree 100% with everything he says. He is legit. I want to congratulate him on so many levels. Great video. Great presentation. Honest professional advice.
This stuff really works. It did everything it said it would. It stopped the smoke from my tailpipe, it stopped the radiator from loosing Fluids , it stopped my vehicle from overheating and it stopped my vehicle from ruff idling. By the expensive one and follow the Instructions. I was surprised that it worked. It’s been over a month and it still working. Good luck 😎
I actually did this to our car and I was very impressed, it really is a great product. What's different though is no coolant entered my oil, the exhaust gasses were going into the coolant heating up the engine more and it was causing our transmission to kick. We found it out by seeing cloudy and muddy looking coolant. So if you see you car is over heating out of control with zero of his signs, you might have a head gasket leak.
My Flex loss power, saw white smoke from muffler & it was idling rough. I immediately pulled over. It never ran hot. I checked my oil & removed oil cap & oil looked normal. My antifreeze was still at the same level in the reservoir, so none loss. It also still cranks up. A friend mentioned something like this yesterday & is coming by to check my vehicle out & possibly use something like this if not this exact product. Fingers crossed it works. Thanks so much for this video as it seems very promising.
I appreciate the comment but I made the video just to help people out. The company did not sponsor me but after I made the video they did send me a thank-you gift bag. Thanks for watching and I hope you get the same results I did and your problem is fixed. Let me know what happens after you use the gasket sealer.
I have a 2001 Subaru Legacy with a head gasket leak. I paid $1000 for the car four years ago. I CAN'T spend $thousands to fix it! Leaking pure coolant, no oil mixing with the coolant. I'm going to try this. Thank you for the video!
We have a 2014 MK3 Focus Estate 1.6 tdci with the same symptoms of a suspected blown head gasket. Definitely going to source and try this product. So pleased we came across this video.
Thank you for explaining the use of this product. This is just the kind of investigation I was looking for. All I can afford to drive is old vehicles that keep me on the road. I really appreciate you taking the time and showing how to do it well.
Thanks for posting your video. This product definitely works. Blue Devil works great too. I used it to seal a cracked head with a gap much bigger than they claim to be able to fix, but it worked great and I still drive that old minivan everyday 1 year later.
This guy should get paid. I am going to give it a try too. He's not slick and polished, which makes me believe he's honest. Thanks for making the video, much appreciated.
This is a fantastic product. I watched the video and called Bar's with a couple of questions. They said they have a 90% success rate with a blown head gasket. I used it on my 2000 Chevy Suburban that I purchase new, now with 202,000 had some coolant inside my oil cap. This work on my vehicle no more coolant inside the oil cap. Hope to get several more years from the Suburban since nothing else is needed on the vehicle.
Wat about when it wears down i herd it last sometimes 2 years wich is good. So after 2 years and problems return do you put more sealent and will last another 2 years or its a one time fix?
All B.S. aside, I saw this video and gave it a try. I'm going to make my own video. Didn't want to spend $50 but I was convinced this guy was Legit and this was the best quality product. Best decision ever.
Me too I had a estimated price of 1200 to 2000 to replace the motor apparently a Expedition head gasket is too hard or aggravating to do, so far it's the best decision I've made concerning a car repair.
I'm on day one, used it in a jeep liberty 3.7, I started to loose coolant and could smell it at the tailpipe. I also started to get the misfire on different cylinders. I followed the instructions to the T, after driving it 2X later on in the day I no longer had the misfire, which would come and go, so I'm thinking the head gasket may have not been to bad, and the smell of coolant went away. Overall, the Jeep seems to run much better but like I said, I'm only on day one. I will definitely update this site as time goes on. Thank you so much for this extremely informative information, God Bless!
Hello since you did this job to your head gasket 5 months on your 2005 CHEVY equinox; how is your truck working for you now since the BAr link product was used?
Thanks for this video! It was a little late for me (had to pay 2800 to fix my headgasket) but now I know in the future I can try something like this first.
My husband is going to buy this and try it for our car.. Thanks for sharing. Hope it's works on our old car 1994 Toyota corolla. Glad I found your video. Thanks for sharing this product and your results.
I bought it before I saw the video. If it works ...are gonna be the best $37.00 spent (after $10 rebate) ever. I have faith it will and be again my son super hero !! Excellent video Oxmanagain
Great video, sir. I just added it on my 3.4 v6 suv. Step 1 add to reservoir and idle vehicle with heat on high until it gets to operating temp. Step 2 let it cool conpletely. Step 3 top up coolant and idle at 1200 for 15 minuted and shut off. Step 4 drive it. When I was doing step 3, it was 16 celsius outside. I asked myself if it would stop making some smoke out the back (mine is exhaust leak mostly). The funny thing is after about 10 minutes of idling the smoke/steam totally stopped. So I let it cool down then went for a 20 mile trip and the water temp didn't even go up to the halfway mark. Not sure how long it lasts but it was very cool to see it work in real time.😊 I took a photo of the tiny instructions on the bottle then printed it in large size on my printer. I recommend everyone write the steps on paper in bigger letters so you can easily review while doing the steps.
You actually made it interesting, thorough and ironically my 81 ford f100 just blew a head gasket tonight . You should be getting commission cuz I'm hitching a ride in the morning to get some of the $48 stuff. Thanks, mister
When you get oil and water mixing. It's only a matter of time before your rings go and the car burns oil. The murky oil gets behind the rings and acts like glue stopping the rings from free movement. Generally change the rings and fix the head. I would advice to always put rain water or distilled water in your radiator. Tap water can have many minerals that corrode the head away. Just because it doesn't taste salty. Doesn't mean it's good for your engine. I re conditioned my engine 20 years ago and it still runs perfectly. I always put oil that doesn't have friction modifiers in my car as friction modifiers are good for difs and gear boxes, but they are not good for engines. I put Penrite oil in my engine. Never put thick oil in your engine as it damages the oil pump. I been an A grade mechanic since 1986. That is my best advice to you.
this guy explained it the best of all the online videos ive looked at, so i would say when it comes to tutorial this guy is the best and i think his opinion is worth heaps
Hello Oxmanagain, I tried Bars Head Seal exactly like you said and so far working great. After a few days even check engine light went off and don’t have to add water to radiator every 4-5 days anymore. Thank you!
Excellent straight-forward review I truly appreciate your honesty and I'm going to tell you what the cost to repair involved with head gasket repair compared to the cost of a pour in you have convinced me it's worth the money to at least try the pour in, thanks again for posting this video!
I have this same car only mine has the 4 banger,I just hit 285,000 drinks a little coolant slowly but I'm not messing with it,great review and I like the fact that you followed up on the initial pour in,keep em coming
Hello Dustin, I have learned from a Scotty Kilmer video, that you can add these sealers as a preventative! I like that as I had not had that idea before. So my instinctual reply was "Add some!" -- Good luck to us all.
Nice job. Believe it or not, the music did it for me. I’ve watched video’s from the top 5 or 6 channels on this topic, and yours was the most watchable.
OMG! You may have just saved me a ton of work. I had no idea why there was milky substance in my oil. I'm going to try this for myself. Thank you so much.
The quality of the video was decent enough for non-professional. The host was relatable and clear. Didnt rush things and examined the basics well. The editing of the video needs some fixing. Overall this is a good video for anyone that needs to see it to believe it. The video shows what is a reliable, short term, inexpensive, alternative to a costly repair. I'm sure this video host is as honest as the day is long, but I am always wary of videos that demonstrates only one brand and doesn't show or mention competing products. But after watching this video, I feel safe with using this product and I'm glad he made it and that I found it. Subscribed and liked
That's great news, that a product was able to save you time & money. That's also a good tip, to change the oil & filter afterwards- it was really contaminated. Good luck!
Thanks much for the video. I am in the same boat: A car worth $1000 (if it was in good shape) and a repair bill that would be $2500+. I am going to give this product a try.
I'm glad this worked for you and I've heard it's worked for some other people too. That being said, My son had a blown head gasket on a 2009 3.4 and the dealer wanted $3,500 to repair it. He put something like this (I'm not sure what product, ChrisFix recommended it) into his car and it didn't help at all. In fact, when I took his engine apart to fix it, all the coolant ports were plugged up with this stuff and made my clean up 10 times worse. Just a little side note, that my sons car didn't have coolant in the oil, it had exhaust gas in the coolant. Every time I've seen coolant in the oil, it has been an intake gasket. The combustion is a much higher pressure the at coolant system, causing the exhaust to push into the coolant. I have heard the coolant can get into the oil because of a head gasket or cracked head, but I've never seen it. great video.
Really great presentation and detail and follow-up. Was never tempted to fast forward. I have a 2014 Kia Cadenza with the same symptoms and was so stressed out with the prospect of replacing the motor that two unaffiliated mechanics suggested. Which would not be practical considering it's value. I will. Let you know the results in a week. Thanks again for taking the time to put your thoughts and results to video
@@K3ASLEY i tried it a while back and it didn't work. Im just going to do the work myself. Already got the new head gasket set (plus a few other gaskets that will be exposed) and spark plugs. Going to get new hoses, radiator, thermostat and possibly water pump.
My brother is an ASE Certified mechanic and has worked on cars ever since I can remember, I'm almost 50 so a long long time 😁 He's told me to NEVER put Bar's fix a leak into my radiator, ever. I'll have to ask him about some of these new products with newer vehicles or the head seal he's talking about but it's a big fat no on Bar's original stop leak. If this stuff really does work that's awesome but you'd have to catch the blown head gasket VERY early on for it to work, in my opinion.
I have to agree with what you said. I will add that products do get better over time, look at engine oil, years ago you had to change the oil at every 3000 Miles. Now, they have synthetic oils that can last above 10000 miles. Some spark plugs can last up to a hundred thousand mile. Products do get better but I understand anybody for being a little skeptical. For me, there really was nothing for me to lose, so I tried it and it lasted 8 months until I got rid of the vehicle.
Used this on a ford taurus , would loose 1 gallon of coolant a week . stopped leaking and lasted 5 years only used 1/2 bottle . if you use this shortcut must promise to God to tell who ever you sell it to the whole story ? thanks . PS HELPED 2 OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS TO TRY THIS AND BOTH WORKED . ONE HAD SLOW LEAK AND ONE WAS BLOWING STEAM OUT THE TAIL PIPE , STOPPED COMPLETELY .
I understand the skepticism, I mean person I'm skeptical but looking at doing the same thing. Yet what people need to realize about why people may want this is, yeah it's probably not advisable to buy something like this but like the guy in the video mentioned the car is not worth the money to fix the head gasket and so many people can't just go get a new car either. I and I would bet the guy in the video would agree that we'd never suggest using something like this in a car worth it's salt or one that's not destined for the junk yard. But if you spend 40 dollars and this stuff clogs the hole and gets you 5-6 months down the road that's worth it to a lot of people. I would never use this and assume my car is going to last another 5 years and never would use it on a car i planned on having 5 years in the future.
I heard the same thing but when you're looking at paying to repair what you're car is worth, I used this product and it has worked for me about 3months now.
Okay the results are in! Did everything as per instructions. Ran the vehicle after installing the bars leaks professional gasket sealer for 30 minutes with heater blowing hot air. Shut off engine and let sit 30 minutes. Not a single drop of water leaked from the cylinder head and block area. Drove vehicle after cool down for 25 minutes. Came back and parked. Not a single drop of water underneath. Plenty of pressure on the upper radiator hose. This morning I started up the van and it runs like a charm. I let it run for 25 minutes and shut off. Again not a single drop of water underneath. The temperature is low and perfect on the gauge. It's a winner! This stuff absolutely works. There is no restriction in the heater core or radiator due to the additive. I only flushed the engine and radiator yesterday before I started because I had previously added bars leaks copper which did not work. I'm thrilled and amazed at how fast the leak stopped yesterday. This is day two so I will go ahead and report back in a few weeks. Otherwise I'm in disbelief but it's solid and works great! Not a single drop of water has leaked from the cylinder head and block area! And with the upper radiator hose having pressure on it now tells me all I need to know. IT WORKS!!! Thank you for your great video, easy and complete instructions!
I appreciate the very detailed update. I understand and I feel your happiness. So many people have reported similar results and they are just as happy. I hope it continues to work you have a nice day.
I don't have the milky oil, or white smoke but my 2002 focus is losing coolent (new overflow etc) just spent $635 on alternater and thermostat too. So I'm getting it tested this week. I pray it's not it. If so I will try this product. I had a 2008 Edge with 61,000 miles at 3 years old blow an engine. Thank God I had 0% interest so I only owed $10,000. I gave it back to Ford and they put it out to bid. I got $600 after the loan was paid it was a $36,000 car. So since then I been getting hand me down cars (focus, I'm the 4th one driving it) from my family. This is my 2nd hand me down. My first after the Edge was a 13 year old Explorer which lasted 3 years, lol. Thank you for this video xo
Great instruction video. I only wished I'd watched this firsthand before purchasing a different brand. When I poured in other brand, contents appeared rusty like, not metallic. I allowed the engine to idle 15 minutes as durected., but didn't know it needed to be driven thereafter. I let it sit for hours. I appreciate this professional instructional.
I've never used Bar's Leak, but I've had good luck with liquid glass. I've never used either though with a seriously blown head gasket. Most mechanics will tell you ot to do it at all but I agree completely with the why am I going to drop 2K for a 1K car? You're exactly right, what do you have to lose? It junkyard will still buy it if it doesn't work.
thank you very much for this video. my car was experiencing all those signs of a blown gasket. I got the same sealer followed the directions and problem was fixed saving me a lot of money and time. :)
Your wife is calling...LOL But seriously, great video. I tried this in my Dodge Caravan and had a similar, positive result. It may work it you catch the problem early enough, before the seal is too far gone.
Titan beats the hell out of all them. I blew head gasket on a 60 series detroit 500hp put it in 3 years ago and 360 thousand miles later still running fine.
@J G Titansealers.com/block-stop-leak this should get you there. There is also one for oil that works well. I removed my thermostat before I used it warmed up the engine and then followed instructions.
I wish I saw this video early. I changed my daughter's water pump and timing belt (because they go together) but that did not solve the problem, so I decided to buy her another car. After online research, I decided to change the cylinder head, which solved the problem. The total cost for parts was about $100, but the amount of time and energy I put in was a lot. After fixing, i donated it to the Kidney foundation. This video would have saved me that mess.
My Expedition had all of the symptoms of a blown head gasket, I tried that same product, the car runs better, fixed coolant leak, even no Milky oil under oil cap, I don't believe in a fix in a bottle but it seems to have worked. I was looking at between 1200to 2000 for another engine no one even wanted to touch the job of replacing the gasket, so I pray it's a permanent fix.
This is life changing my mom just shared your video and im so excited to try this ordering today and will leave a comment to let you know whats the update!! Blessings on blessings !
This stuff don't work, and it definitely will clog your radiator. I've seen many cars come in and they finally just did the head gasket job and used all different type of these products and ended up buy new radiator water pumps and thermostat
Thanks for posting this. My son's car is doing exactly what you describe but he doesn't have the milky oil. Just loss of fluid and overheating after we replaced the hose. They quoted him over a $1000 repair and he's not got any money and no way to work. Thank you. I think we'll try this. NOthing to lose at this point.
I’m glad that it worked for you. In the last month and a half I’ve tried 2 products. First K-Seal and the second same as yours. My symptoms are pushing out coolant, over pressurized system/exhaust gas build up and very little liquid dripping from tailpipe. If I leave the car in idle it won’t overheat and I can drive the car on the freeway at 75 mph for an hour or so before I get a low coolant message. I just can’t figure out why it doesn’t work on my car. I think I have to do a few hot and cold cycles without driving the car. If it doesn’t work after that, then my only guess would be that these products don’t work well on multi layer steel (MLS) gaskets. Do you know what material your gasket is made of? I’m very happy that it worked out for you cause you don’t really have an option to take it to the dealer cause there is no more Pontiac and I don’t have that choice cause my car is another brand that GM ruined!! 2007 SAAB 9-3 aero 😐
Since it’s a V6 it’s hard to tell which gasket is bad, upper 3 cyl or lower 3 cyl. A good tip that k-seal provided was to find which cylinder is misfiring and to disconnect the spark plug so there would be less/no combustion and you get a better seal.
Dude, finally someone who's doing a video that doesn't make me wanna turn it off immediatly. Nice job explaining it all.

I'm glad I was able to help and I really appreciate the compliment on what I did.
@@oxmanagain Is this still holding up? I might use on my 2006 Tundra instead of paying the 2k to have the gasket replaced.
Really working on my car today. No more bubbling inside coolant and no more coolant come into engine oil. This product recommended.
Is it still working?
Wanted to wait til day 3 before I posted my comment. This product works. No more smoke and my bimmer rides like new again. Thanks again
Brother Mouhamed, ur still good?
This stuff really works. It did everything it said it would. It stopped the smoke from my tailpipe, it stopped the radiator from loosing
Fluids , it stopped my vehicle from overheating and it stopped my vehicle from ruff idling. By the expensive one and follow the
Instructions. I was surprised that it worked. It’s been over a month and it still working. Good luck 😎
I'm glad the product was able to help restore your car and thanks for your comment.
You have mastered that my brother in jesus.
I am watching because i have to do this.
Thumbs up.

Thank you and have a blessed day.
It's working GREAT in my f150 4.2 v6, no water or steam out of the exhaust now, no coolant loss
Is it still working?
I watched this video last night....and this morning I did it. Thank you for making it easy to do!
Dude this is the best description of any product ive ever seen.. like im real life going to the store to get this now youve save me my mans
Did it work for your car?
My Flex loss power, saw white smoke from muffler & it was idling rough. I immediately pulled over. It never ran hot. I checked my oil & removed oil cap & oil looked normal. My antifreeze was still at the same level in the reservoir, so none loss. It also still cranks up.
A friend mentioned something like this yesterday & is coming by to check my vehicle out & possibly use something like this if not this exact product. Fingers crossed it works. Thanks so much for this video as it seems very promising.
Thank you bro! This video saved me $1800 on my 06 Ford Exploder. it fixed my misfire, overheating and pressure overspray from the reservoir. Great vid

If you have to use the product I hope you get the same results I received. Let me know how it worked and you have a nice blessed day.
Thanks for posting your video. This product definitely works. Blue Devil works great too. I used it to seal a cracked head with a gap much bigger than they claim to be able to fix, but it worked great and I still drive that old minivan everyday 1 year later.

Thanks man. This stuff is for real. It works great. I had a blown gasket. It's been over a month now car runs perfectly.
Thanks for the update.
Thanks for the comment and I'm glad the stuff worked for you also.
Me too I had a estimated price of 1200 to 2000 to replace the motor apparently a Expedition head gasket is too hard or aggravating to do, so far it's the best decision I've made concerning a car repair.

@gabe
Couple hours
LMAO
I'm on day one, used it in a jeep liberty 3.7, I started to loose coolant and could smell it at the tailpipe. I also started to get the misfire on different cylinders.
I followed the instructions to the T, after driving it 2X later on in the day I no longer had the misfire, which would come and go, so I'm thinking the head gasket may have not been to bad, and the smell of coolant went away. Overall, the Jeep seems to run much better but like I said, I'm only on day one.
I will definitely update this site as time goes on.
Thank you so much for this extremely informative information, God Bless!

This is awesome. Mines not gone yet but I have a hunch it’s gonna go some time soon so this eases my mind on paying loads to get it fixed
Not sure how long it lasts but it was very cool to see it work in real time.😊
I took a photo of the tiny instructions on the bottle then printed it in large size on my printer.
Marco .. are you in Australia? I can't seem to be able to find it here in the USA.
Why don't you do a video

Great video man and thanks a lot. You saved so many people from paying over $2,000 to get their car fixed. God bless you bro.

Thanks much for the video. I am in the same boat: A car worth $1000 (if it was in good shape) and a repair bill that would be $2500+. I am going to give this product a try.
Did it work?
Do it then sell it.
I have heard the coolant can get into the oil because of a head gasket or cracked head, but I've never seen it. great video.
good video, good advice. I used k seal.. cost 13 dollars, works well.
Really great presentation and detail and follow-up. Was never tempted to fast forward.

@@fspight28Did you try the head gasket sealer ?
@@K3ASLEY i tried it a while back and it didn't work. Im just going to do the work myself. Already got the new head gasket set (plus a few other gaskets that will be exposed) and spark plugs. Going to get new hoses, radiator, thermostat and possibly water pump.
@@fspight28 was there oil in the coolant and coolant in the oil ?
For me, there really was nothing for me to lose, so I tried it and it lasted 8 months until I got rid of the vehicle.
make it worse.
Great presentation! My truck just surprised me with this on I'm going to get Bars TODAY.
Thank you
Okay the results are in!

Didn’t work. That’s why you didn’t update 😂🤦🏻♂️
I agree and let me know the outcome. Fingers crossed.
I believe it is a single layer your of metal.
Since it’s a V6 it’s hard to tell which gasket is bad, upper 3 cyl or lower 3 cyl. A good tip that k-seal provided was to find which cylinder is misfiring and to disconnect the spark plug so there would be less/no combustion and you get a better seal.
THANYOU! ....Is been 10 months, it worked for me. Went through one of the hottest summer with no issues.
