I went to a website and got an unsafe warning. I ignored and continued. When I got into the website, a bunch of weird pop-ups started showing saying people used my IP address? (I don’t even know what that is lol. If anyone knows what that is, please tell me) Honestly, I don’t even think I have an IP address. I clicked cancel on the first pop-up, and there were still 6 more on the site. I didn’t even have an idea what the site looked like! After the first pop-up, I got a bit freaked out and exited out the website. I have no idea if this was a troll or it was real, but I’m never ignoring a warning and and going on a sketchy website again. I found the website from a wiki page about a marvel character, and saw a thumbnail about “tragic photos taken seconds before disaster”. If you’re on wiki and see a thumbnail about a woman in a body of water with a giant snake next to her, DO NOT CLICK IT.

If you get a pop up on a sketchy website, and it asks you to turn on notifications, but you click the x in the little notification screen instead of "allow" or "block", then you close the tab, does that still allow the pop up ad to install a virus on your computer? This is an interesting video, a few of those sketchy ads were not malware.

PC virtual machine fact : if you download a virus on a virtual machine if the wifi is on you can put the virus IN you actual pc by the virus passing in the wifi to your device and other device Hope it helps if you wanna try😊
I'm not sure what wifi means here, the actual protocol or internet, either way this is not how any of this works, unless maybe you bridged your VM onto your network and had unpatched machines connected. The only way for malware to 'escape' from VMs is if they have a specific day 0 exploit against the hypervisor you are using, or you horribly misconfigured your VMs (IE allowing shared folders / drag & drop).
