Samsung added a Samsung skin over google messages, so it would be cool to see them make a skin over Google Assistant that adds some of the bixby phone integrating and watch integrating features that Google Assistant doesn't have currently.
Bixby on the phone is far ahead of bixby on the watch. Weird. Bixby on the watch doesn't answer general questions and such. Maybe Samsung thinks asking such questions on a watch is silly or something. On the watch bixby excels in reminders, workouts, settings etc
So agree. I noticed that with every assistant. Siri on my sons phone is a little better than my IPad. Why? They can’t be that much different to develop for.
Nice comparison! I keep microphone and all permissions turned off, yet if I mention something to a friend, my weather application will have an Amazon advertisement for whatever mentioned in conversation last 24 hours. So much for privacy! Peace
Thanks for the comparison video. I've been trying to decide if I was going to use one or the other or just keep both available.. I think I'm gonna just stick with the assistant at this point. lol ps. So bizarre to see St Charles pull up when you asked for the weather in your area.. I'm in St Peters.. small world. ; ) Subscribed!
google needs bixbys hearing and understanding of words like I am a young kid from greek and I haven't perfected my accent bixby hears me so well without any errors while google does a lot of errors when I don't use my accent and bixby needs google's knowledge
Its a good thing they have both options, then you can decide which one works better for you 😉 👊 would suck if you could only use Google Assisant and keep asking it over and over again. Imagine how much battery 🔋 you would drain 😮 just using the Google Assistant alone 😔 wouldn't be fun!
@0:36 …”What??” LOL, I keep laughing harder each time I watch that! LOL, I dont know why it’s cracking me up so much…probably because that’s *exactly* the reaction I’ve had many, many times before. Great vid, Sub’d!!! :-)
Yeah. Digital assistants are great even if they leave you scratching your head sometimes. Glad you liked the video and thank you for the sub. Much appreciated.
Upon close examination of my Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, it has come to my attention that the inability to send messages through alternative messaging applications poses a significant inconvenience. Specifically, I have found that the device restricts message sending capabilities to solely Samsung Messenger, consequently limiting user flexibility.
I am not a Bixby fan, short of some routines on phone, but felt it got stepped on , not getting a point or two for the 2 math questions it answered correctly? 🙄
@@RandoTechInfo to test you would need a Google Books account with an audiobook in your library on a device other than the watch, then, for Google Assistant you would trigger it on the watch and say "read [title of book]". (Assumes the watch is on Wi-Fi and has a Bluetooth connection to headphones or pods etc). Thank you for the consideration. Michael
@@RandoTechInfo thank you so much. I now feel that I have good, solid, definitive information. It's too bad. I am a caretaker on a large property with good Wi-Fi saturation and I hate carrying around the phone. I guess I'll have to wait for Google watch.
Yeah, I don't usually use voice activation on my devices so I haven't noticed that, but I definitely see how leaving the mic on non-stop could do that.
i would like google to either join bixby to help with system settings or google update it to do so. i like bixby to do simple task like turn water lock on when washing hands and would love it if google can do the same
After trying 3 other phones, Ulephone, Nord Plus and BLU, I finally found a phone that Google Assistant would actually work on consistently. It is the Samsung A53 5G. As a bonus Bixby also works flawlessly. I learned my lesson that you get what you pay for.

Hey Brill video. Can you confirm if you can create (not respond) a WhatsApp message using the Google assistant because I know you can't with Bixby. it just goes through as a normal text. thanks. I've given you a like
The only reason Google cannot change stuff on the watch is because Samsong won't let it.
Still doesn't change the results though.
Provide full access permission to google assistant, it will do that for you.
@mudassirbit this is true
"Samsung"
@@mudassirbitHow can you get full permission to Google Assistant?
Google and Samsung should just merge these assistances together as some kind of Samsung/Google Exclusive. Instead of making it separate.
I'm good with that.
Samsung added a Samsung skin over google messages, so it would be cool to see them make a skin over Google Assistant that adds some of the bixby phone integrating and watch integrating features that Google Assistant doesn't have currently.
I'm good with it just being Google. I don't think it would really improve the experience much. Sounds like more hassle than anything.
Lol why Bixby obviously sucks
Ive been using them together.
They make a pretty good tag team.
Nice deep dive!
Thanks man. Appreciate it. The fact you can have multiple ways to access both is really nice.
i think ill do that now ahaha
Me too!

Bixby can do a lot of things well, which make the things it can't do even more conspicuous.
It's all very strange.

@@RandoTechInfodidn’t the watch 3 use Tinzen? So maybe they aren’t sure how to use Google watch OS yet?

I also keep my mics off most of the time and I also have ads pop up for things after I talk about them.
Privacy is overrated.
It seems that Bixby is more response to actions of the device apps instead of using the Web.
Agreed.

In case you haven't, you need to train google to recognise your voice.
Interesting and fun comparison!
Thanks. I'm glad you liked it.
Google assistant wins I use it
My favorite was " get me a free pizza ! "
Great video mate. Thanks.
Glad you liked it. Thank you for watching!
You can add capsules with your voice, directly on the watch without a samsung phone. You just have to google the name of the capsule

Do you mean sending messages through Google Assistant or just in general?
does bixby work offline on watch?? for setting alarm and playing music
no
I'm really not sure how you're doing this test and why doesn't Bixby have any right and it really does but it's stuck on 0
If both assistants get it right no point is awarded.
Thanks!
Thank YOU!
The Google Assistant app is not working on my watch
All i know is......BIXBY JUST GOT EXPOSED!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like the "Mexican" restaurant, that Bixby found, called Kimchee.
It's not very good either.
@@RandoTechInfo Well, I would expect that it is not very authentic Mexican.

Can we use both at the same time
They can't be "used" at the same time but both can be installed together and you can choose which one to use when you want.
I've noticed voice activated Google assistant really drained the battery so I shut it off.

Agree on all points.
Capsules only available in US?
I have this watch. It’s a Google not Samsung watch. Most Samsung apps aren’t available and the Google assistant works so much better
You can add a capsule by asking Bixby without having a Samsung phone.

Google does Dutch, bixby doesn't
