After working in his industry for many years termites can eat pressure treated or post construction treated wood. Also they can simply build tunnels ( mud tubes) over the pressure treated wood to your sheet rock, cabinets, or any other cellulose material. Recorded studies have shown termite tubes as high as 10 feet!!!

Agree and disagree. I had a room built directly over soil. The treated 4x4 was actually in the soil & was not eaten away when I checked 10 years later. It was BRAND SPANKEN NEW MINT CONDITION. However, they did build a tunnel to non treated wood. Your right about that. I should have treated the soil with Termidor HE with a ditch and a hose as well as homemade DIY bait traps.

I used big box PT 2 x 4 bottom plate and termites ate right through it. Swarm alerted me. Fl is humid so they seem to find water.

@SuperMafioBrother I think he's just not comfortable talking into a camera. He sounds more nervous than ignorant.

Only a guy working for pest control company would tell you that the only way to prevent them is to hire guys like him! There are other ways folks, do your homework and you will find them!

Why do I get the notion that the man on film has little knowledge of the subject? He looks as if he could be i the extermination industry, however he seems to lack some knowledge.
