I love this video!, I became a Private pilot in 1975, now I've been grounded for many years, I now fly in my simulator. I just bought the Pilatus Porter for the sim and having a ball learning to fly it. You have the life I would wanted to live!. Great video!
@@PaddyPilot I fly some airports in the caribbean TJIG (small airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico was my hometown airport. From there to St. Thomas, St. Marteen etc. Some airports in Alaska, Paun, Nome. Would love to fly some of your routes (if I can find the runways) lol!

When you land on these short crappy airstrips , do u have the parking brake already engaged or is that dangerous to do in real life cuz I do it in MSFS and it seems to work

Great stuff! Really enjoy watching "bush" operators all over the world. I have a poster of the Nipsan Airstrip in my home office, one day I'll get to see it for real. In AK, we call the HF radios the Tundra Telegraph, keep a handheld in the plane. Sometimes it's the only way to get a hold of who you need.

Btw, have you ever landed on a strip that had toilet bowl moulds as runway markers, it’s in the western Provence Ubud? Maybe they aren’t there now.

You say nothing has changed in forty years !!! You are either ill-informed or naive. In that prolonged time, Indonesian transmigration programs have completely changed the places of Jayapura, Sorong, Manokawi and Merauke into javanese cities - replacing the original Papuans with immigrants. As a Dutch person, you should be aware of Papua's tragic history - apparently that is not the case !!

Hey boyo....flying in 1960's was hard..what you are doing is a piece of cake...with reliable aircraft........we only had UHF and used it on Aust airports, and vhf only on Moresby and Lae.......no navaids, except one or two a/c had ADF...........airstrips were tracks........think yourself lucky.

The language sounds similar to Bahasa which is spoken in Malaysia and Indonesia. Is it the same or just some words. Where are you from originally, a Muzungu for definite but I will guess Zimbabwe.
