I find myself more and more become a SCBW fan over SC2. If nothing else, the lack of ability to perfectly control entire armies at a time makes the game feel more enjoyable to watch.
Rather than SC2's feel of 'don't make any mistakes', SCBW seems more like a 'manage your mistakes and silly unit pathing as best you can'.

No doubt the battles in BW are much more entertaining. They last longer, they occur over a larger area of the map, and there's usually a lot more of them, both big and small. Also, I think BW's graphics and art style make it easier to see what's going on.
Also, the way armies look in SC2, being so perfect so to speak, makes it way less interesting
I accidentally turned captions on and I'm so glad I did because it started the video by saying "hey guys our toast is here" lol

in ZVT hydras are nonexistent though (neither in ZVZ)... I wish Greater Spire units are used more though
True, but Protoss has the advantage in that moment because Storms actually counter hydra, so you will need to dodge storms a lot, and keep expanding and macroing, while Protoss units will get better and better.
Intense game! Beast truly justifies his name in this one.

Love the channel, I watch the vids almost daily during my lunch break. Only minor suggestion is for mirror matchups it would be easier to track (especially if you're watching on mobile - smaller screen) if the default colors were set to red and blue. Much love!

It's been a while since we've had a Zerg game on this channel.
Once, I was deployed as a Siege Tank, supporting a battalion under a fiery Terran commander, whose temper was said to burn hotter than a Vulture's afterburner. Dare I even mention his name. During a crucial standoff, while our marines were equipped with U-238 Shells and stimpacks, we were suddenly overwhelmed by a horde of Zerglings. With no Siege Mode upgrade available and our protective armor not yet maximized, the situation grew desperate.
We tried our best, with me shelling the ground to create a buffer, but it wasn't enough. A retreat was the only logical choice. As we regrouped at the base, that commander stormed up to me. With fury in his eyes, he claimed our retreat was due to my reluctance to transition into Siege Mode earlier, even though he hadn't given the order!
His next threat was chilling: he'd deploy me right in the Zerg's path during the next battle without proper marine cover if I didn't "step up." I'd catch whispers from the bunkers - tales of how he perennially shifted blame onto the Protoss, saying they always "messed with" his grand plans. When I was finally reallocated to a different front, the sense of relief was immeasurable.

i used to be into sc2 so much thanks to you and tasteless but now with the worker differential i dont enjoy it the same way.
now i love brood war it was my favorite game as a kid and my favorite esport today
really good game though. Better than I thought it was gonna be. Some of these Toss like Motive and Ruin are extremely good!!!

Love a good ling/hydra bust. Probably my favorite move in all of Broodwar, and I hate when Zerg misses their chance to snuff out another toss.
This battle should've been in the campaign.
That is some *satiafying* Sim Citying.
Beast was just perfect. He even had tons of overlords everywhere in case Dt. Maybe storm drops but those hidralisk were also everywhere. Motive was forced to play like Terran.
I feel like Motive needed to squeeze out more workers between about the 8 and 20 minute marks, the worker count was 40-59 or so for a long time. Once he was just stuck with 3 there was obviously no need but he was so far behind by that point.
Daylight saving time started in my country and my daily routine desynchronized completely with my daily BW cast.
Gotta remake my routine so it fits again :P

One of Motive's best games and one of your best casts I think.
I think Motive would've been a lot better off if he managed to go for the drop players earlier. GG
@8.40 a nice drop would demolish the protoss. Just have to stop the protoss seeing you rally overlords to the edge of the low gas expansion

I don't remember MOTIVE historically Developing an allergy to building probes as a match goes on/later (even mid-game here), very MEDICALLY curious match this is and I've never even seen Motive (can't diagnose him directly)!

@Artosiscasts Why is Offensive gas steal a PvT thing but not a PvZ or PvP thing?
zerglings and zealots are too strong. they make quickly and kill it quickly and there's no way to abuse your opponent from there.

What do you guys think Motive need to do most? Macro more? Harass workers more? Reavers?
Once mutas are dead he should’ve gone shuttle harass either dt or storm since beast had all those bases up and had few hydras.

I wish the casting was this good for ASL matches. I like Tasteless but he's holding Arty back. I'm slowly migrating over to Nyoken and Eonzerg because Tastosis too often lacks in excitement and drama. Not trying to be a dick, just constructive criticism.
