Thank you so much for publishing this - doing this job tomorrow and I ordered this part from you site as my gratitude for taking the time to do this!
Dealer wanted $375 to do this job, so I saved about $275 by following this video. It was exactly as shown. As someone else commented, be sure to loosen the clamps before you install the regulator as it's a nuisance to loosen them after you have installed it. Wiggling the old regulator out of the door and the new one into it requires a little patience, but you just have to get it into the right position and it comes right out. Don't be afraid to tackle this job!!
This video was a big help. I used it to replace the window regulator in my wifes 2006 Buick. The hardest part was getting the window off of the plastic track that holds it to the regulator. But I was done in about 40 minutes. Thanks
You saved me $430 thank you. Only thing I would suggest is when you take new regulator out , loosen the 10mm screws on clamps before putting on door. Makes much easier to guide windown in than trying to looses once in door. So happy to be able to do this ony own. Your videos are top notch!!!
1A Auto is the best! I bought a front and a rear regulator from you guys, watched the videos, and replaced both bad units. All in about an hour and a half, and for under $80. 1A Auto is now my Go-To!

FOLLOWING YOUR DIRECTIONS, I JUST MADE A SUCCESSFUL REPLACEMENT OF MY REAR WINDOW REGULATOR. THANKS FOR THE CLEAR DIRECTIONS. I WILL BE TURNING TO YOU FOR MY FUTURE REPAIR NEEDS.
Thank you! I did it myself! Girl Power!
Just a quick add-on for 2007 Buick LaCrosse owners. The rear door has THREE bolts to remove. ONE behind the removable beauty plate behind the door handle, and TWO beneath the removable rubber hand grab/loose change holder. Then, pulling back the moisture barrier, you will find two bolts (one at the top and one at the bottom) and one nut (in the center) to totally remove. Once you take the old regulator out, you must remove the threaded pin from the center mount and screw it into the threaded spacer in the center position of your new regulator. Then all goes back in reverse process. This video totally made me be able to do the job! The hardest part? Removing the darn press-in pins holding the Styrofoam block! I had to use channel locks to grab the tops and pull as hard as I could. I still broke the bottom piece, just like the video!! :-)
Thank you very much for posting this! I installed it today and it was very simple thanks to your video. The two push pins that held the styrofoam in kind of got mangled so I'm going to see if I can get some good replacements at the auto store. One other thing is that the old and new part have some grease on them so have a rag nearby. It is a good feeling to fix your own car!
Thank you for producing this video. It helped me out quite a lot. I appreciate the help. I didn't need any parts for my fix, it was just that the clamps were off and had to be re-positioned and appropriately torqued. Thank you again,
b.
This made a job that looked daunting a one hour affair. Not only that, I ordered the regulator from them and they shipped same day.
Well, just removed my second regulator in a few years, thanks to this video. I had forgotten how easy and detailed it is, ESPECIALLY compared to the spare, and incorrect Haynes manual I have!
Now I need to order the new regulator from you, which I should have done first!
But why should I complain, this is a 2000 LeSabre with only 97K miles!

Thank you very much for this video. I feel now I can fix my back window in my Buick Lesabre. I appreciate the detail way that you explained very step. Your direction were easy to follow. Thank you !!
Thanks for the video! It was a fantastic help and I was able to replace it! The only trouble I had was that the clips were almost impossible to get off the window. It was almost as if they were glued on! I got one off, but the 2nd one would not budge. I left it on and it snapped into place with the new regulator.
Thanks for this video. We changed out the power window regulator on a 2006 Buick Lacrosse using this video. Not exactly the same but very similar. We would NOT have attempted this repair without your help. Thanks a million!
+Barbara Kubereit We're glad the video helped you out. Thanks for watching. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
thanks for the vid, I was at a loss as to what to do once I had the door panel off. Dealer wants 440 for the regulator, I decided to purchase one from you. Kuddos
Thanks for the video, it was a great help. You explained and showed every step in enormous detail. Your directions were easy to follow and saved me some serious dough. Thank you again.
Thanks for the very comprehensive and instructive video. I was able to fix this on my own thanks to you and save hundreds in the process.
Awesome video !! I'm curious as to why Buick never issued a recall on this item because it is such a wide spread problem with these years of LeSabre. I never even used the rear windows of my car and one day come out and one had fallen about 1/2 way then a few months later the other one fell. I will be ordering my replacements this week and, thanks to your video, saving about $900 that the body shop wants to charge to do this.
Thank you for great vids and great pricing. I fixed all four windows on my 2001 Buick
Thank you. Did it myself, saved a lot of money.
Garages get different rates. It all depends on who you go to. You may want to try a local auto body shop if you don't feel comfortable making the repair yourself.
Thank you for the easy to order regulator and excellent video for installing it. I paid $45.99 for part, $12 for tool to remove door panel (may or may not have needed, but I did remove panel without problem with the tool.) Took me 2 hours but I have zero experience and was not prepared with correct tools. It was going to cost me $400 to have it repaired at local repair shop. A couple of points: since you put your own regulator back into the door rather than the new one, the clamp was already loosened where you had removed it. I failed to catch this and put the new regulator in place without loosening the clamps. It was difficult to get the regulator in place so I hated to take it out to loosen the clamps and therefor spent time trying to loosen them in place, awkward but managed. Also, the bolts on the new regulator clamps were a different size (not 10mm) than the old so I had to search for the correct size tool for that. PS I found out why you used painters tape to hold the window up rather than duct tape. Took me forever and a container of gooBgone to get sticky off of window!

This has broken on each of my 2002 windows 2 or 3 times. The first few times I took it to my mechanic and he charged me $35. Last time he told me I was going to go broke on the windows. Hahahahaha, I was smart enough to keep my receipts from the 1st ones and the company has to give me a new one every time. This is junk. Thanks for the video, you saved me money and for that I am grateful.

@twatripp Thank you for checking out our Buick window regulator repair video. Have a great day!
You may want to check the fuses to see if any of them are blown.
The window motor may slow down with age, or you may want to check the gear on the motor to see if it's stripped. You could also try to spray some silicone spray on the window weatherstrip and add some white lithium grease to the window regulator to see if that helps to speed it up. these items can be found at your local auto parts store. If you need a new window motor we carry them with FREE Shipping on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393 Hope this helps you out.
Thank You! You did save me time and money!! Thanks for doing these videos. Subscribed!
If this is your first time doing this, it might take you half a day to do it because you might not be familiar with all of the tools or you might run into a snag some place.
The procedure would be the same, the only added thing that you would need to do is to take the old motor off and add the new one on.
There is either a frayed wire or there is possibly something wrong with the new motor that was purchased.
Great Video... Made it easy and saved alot... Thanks so much!!!
That's our goal. We're glad we could help you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
@fpetzsc The basic procedures should be similar, but the way things come apart would be different.
You may need to take the door panel off and push it back into place by hand. Sometimes the cable can break on the regulator and prevent the window from moving if it's tangled up inside of the door. We carry new window regulators on our website with free shipping. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
great video, i couldn’t save that styrofoam block i pulled and pulled on those plastic pins with pliers, finally gave up and broke the styro, I know?
Thanks for shopping and watching our auto repair video too. We hope that it has helped you out. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
My back passenger window is stuck. A friend of mines opened it in this Chicago Weather. and i need to have it back up before Saturday! I need to pull it up, I can hear the motor in the door but the window will not move at all!
The window regulator may have broke. You may want to inspect it once the door panel is off. we sell new window regulators on our website 1aauto.com for all kinds of different vehicles, with FREE SHIPPING in the lower 48 states. 888-844-3393
THANK YOU. GOOD VIDEO JOB . great help.
+carman123ism No problem. Glad to hear it helped you out. 1aauto.com 866-403-3393
Is this procedure similar to what you would do on a buick century?
how do you know if its the motor or the regulator? im planning on helping my buddy fix his tomorrow but idk how it broke. he said it was moving slow and then eventually stopped working so it would be the motor right?
They are different from the front. We carry new window regulators on our website 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I got one for you. I have a 1999 Buick Regal and in one day I replaced the Drivers side front and rear and pass. side rear regulators and motors, and two of the three worked, the passenger rear did not work so I replaced the master switch(Drivers side front) and the passenger rear went up and now won't go down, and just clicks when you try to roll it up, and does nothing when you try to roll the window down. Any Ideas?
may i suggest that you post the cost of the part if ordered from you....
im trying to get this part from a junk yard, how would you remove it if you do not have access to electrical for the motor?
Thanks for watching. Have a great day! 1aauto.com 888-844-3393
What is the name of the module that you took off in this video?

How long does this take?
What is the price of this part?thanks
What if the window is stuck in the middle? I've tried to manually pull it up without success. It is stuck in the middle with about 4 inches of play.
+Bartok The Magnifycent We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c
Why does the top part of my 2000 buick lesabre door seem attached just below the window?

+Mr. Bluegrass You can find that part here: www.1aauto.com/buick-century-regal-olds-intrigue-rear-driver-side-power-window-regulator-trq/i/1awrg00268/354087/1999

1aauto.com 888-844-3393
I check the switch its good ..... and also when I open the passenger door doom lights dont come on only when I open the driver door
Bryant Oneal You may want to check the wiring between the door and body of the car to see if there's a broken or frayed wire. Hope this helps you out.
