I didn't realize that you were the one who allowed your Cockatoo to pet the puppy -- it has been one of my most favorite videos! That is the sweetest one ever! You asked your parrot to say "I love you" and she did! Sweet Pea is positively adorable!! These are children in feather and fur coats. To love and honor them is a real gift. Thank you for your kindness.
I remember that video of Sweet Pea telling the puppy she loves her... that is the sweetest thing I've ever seen and had to watch it over and again. She is so lucky to have found you, and I hope that you both have many, many happy years together. Sweet Pea is so precious and adorable and loves to have lots of brain food being so smart. Keep up the great work you're doing with her and look forward to watching more videos. Yes, new sub here. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️
You are the best thing that ever happened to her. She was plucking her feathers bc she was so stressed not having a stable loving home and was probably kept in a cage most of the time. Your love and caring has helped tremendously. Now feather plucking has become a habit for her as a way to deal with anything or just a habit you have to break. You are doing a fantastic job
Dear Sweetie of a Sweet Pea & La Parrot Lady ... the proverbial water you are both putting back into the well of Love is truly wondrous. If only more people would adopt and keep such glorious hearts safe of little ones that you make lives better with. Bravo-! D.A.
Hi. I have an umbrella as well. And just thought I would tell you: sweetpea saying I love you to the puppy, is my favorite video of all time and I watched it like 7 million times. I have a video where my umbrella is cuddling 4 kittens that I rescued when they were about two weeks old..
We took over care for our neighbors 26 year old cockatoo, her name is Dusty. Our neighbor had a stroke, so now she lives with us now. She has attached herself to my husband. She is also a cornic feather plucker. They are starting to fill in. I think it helps that my husband is home all day
I am so glad you are in RUclips. My Elliott loves to watch Sweet Pea. I have a running playlist of all his favorite bird, dog, cat and music videos. All of yours will be added to it. Parrots love to watch other Parrots. And I just ❤ Sweet Pea!
I used to help at a bird sanctuary in Wisconsin about 10 years ago. There was an umbrella cockatoo named sweet-pea. I'm very curious as to where yours might be from. She's about the right age 😮
💜 I'm so glad you're here on yt bc I've taken an indefinite leave from all my other social media accounts. I'm a recent sub and I just love your videos. Like so many of us, I'm trying to heal through some serious stuff, and your videos with Sweet Pea are like a gentle oasis for a few moments. Thank you 💜
I’m a long time umbrella cockatoo owner for 29 years. I’m glad you have her now and she seems very happy. I watch the way you handle her and it is rewarding for us but this is in the long term a problem for her hormones. There are many videos on how to only pet her on the head so you don’t stimulate her which leads to plucking and self mutation. I learned the hard way and over changed how I related to her time she stopped. She needs to wear her collar if I see signs coming that she’ll end up harming herself. It take self discipline on my part to not cuddle with her which is what she wants but ends up bloody eventually. Best of luck to this happy companion. You take on a lot when you care for cockatoos and fortunately there’s a lot of information out there now about it.
Interesed how you worked on the feather plucking. I have a 24 year old parrot who 4 years ago suddenly started plucking and can’t seem to be able to help him. Willing to try anything if it will make a difference.
I think I raised her from the time she was a couple weeks old. I wish you wouldmessage me, so we can figure out if shes the same cockatoo and I can shed somelight on her beginning. You do a beautiful job with her, whoever she is.
Father plucking she might of had some one who did handle her enough and she was left is small cage and bored our of her mind and stressed and started to pluck her feathers for past time being the 4th owner so Glade the 4th is the charm pat stores would sell them to any one and although amazing birds the thrive off love and lots of care and attention
Sweet Pea still has a long life ahead of her and will likely outlive the women in this video. I hope she has a plan to keep her in the family or with somebody familiar that is young and understands. It's tragic what many of these birds (domestic) have to go through.
How much did you pay for the parrot? I want to buy a parrot but I'm afraid it'll outlive me, and I would be afraid of it being abused by the next owner.
She's just trying to be responsible now the dog has grown. After all, even if they were friends/playing, the dog has enough mass/strength to injure the bird inadvertently
🫀i hope you see this🫀 you should get some grounding/Earthing mats for your pets. My pets are what made me realize there was really something to it. And then i watched since documentaries and the rest is history. But a friend gave me there old one too Try and i was like ok ok. And they hooked it up in the spare bedroom while we were talking and i was doing singing in there. Anyways i forgot about it until later that evening I couldn’t find the two dogs or the cat and i was starting to feel panicked. Finally when i was calling for them i heard TooSweets collar when she heard my voice. To my surprise they were all in the guest room which theyve never been in other than following me. And not only that but all three were crammed onto the grounding matt. I was like😵💫🤯. Fast forward …and i kid you not… my pets are all so much better. TooSweets arthritis is gone. Taffys bad breath gone. Food allergy paw licking thing gone. Cats anxiety and “temper tantrums” gone. Oh yeah the Cats…..name is Cats….plural. Our daughter named her. 🤓🙃 Annd their humans have had great results too. No more snoring. Arthritis. Trouble sleeping. Gone. Anyways give it a chance. It would be great content. You can see what the animals decide. (Our pets like us dont get in contact with the earth as much as we used to and should amd this causes us to walk around with an electric charge in our body which causes inflammation and throws off our bodies ability to do it electro chemical processes as its meant to. Ever since we started wearing synthetic materials and rubber soled shoes and living in homes with synthetic carpets and synthetic non conductive insulators in the walls floors our vehicles. Some people sadly never come in contact with the earth for years. The documentary called “Earthing The Movie” is really good. Its free on youtube too. I just really want your babies to try it. Oh dahh the reason i first thought of it was that after my friends ….oh no im blanking on the bird type….oh man…..ill edit when i remember…anyways she stopped plucking and she was bad. Its was a lifelong struggle. And she was pretty naked. And i know my friend hated people asking cause she took it personal and was really sensitive about it. Anywaus after all the vets and whats not that never helped it was a miracle. Shes like a whole different bird and the vets had said she wouldnt live to mmuch longer. Now shes got another 20years.

You do extremely respectable work. Not just anyone can take on an umbrella cockatoo with a potentially messy background.

Interesting - our Umbrella cockatoo also has a thing about butterflies. They really seem to frighten him.

Do you get time to do other daily stuff that perhaps require leaving the house or are you too attached to Sweet Pea and cant leave her? :)

🤍🤍🤍😇🤍🤍🤍
Were you able to "potty train" her, or is that not even in the realm of possibilities with a bird? If so, can you briefly say how you went about it?
How much did you pay for the parrot?
Which country
It says on the channel about section
What a sweet baby. Too bad you don't let her and the dog still interact.
If she's taking care with her animals and not overestimating their ability to be safe together, she's to be commended.
Why doesnt she have partner of her kind?
how do you know is "she" and not"he"?
Why can't you work with them about being together if they are best friends?
kind of sad you wont let the bird and dog in the same room
What if one's shown aggression and she's being careful? 🤦
Because it can be dangerous....? Even if they know eachother?
