Thanks for taking the time to record your ride on that trail. I can now see why I never see anyone going down it. I totally think we should keep a trail or two like that on the shore for variety, but it would also be nice to have more trails like Expresso to take the heavy load off that trail.
It's good to see how raw that trail is still. After they told Digger that he would be arrested if they caught him working on the Fromme trails, before the NSMBA had more than a couple hundred members, I kept that trail open and running for 3 or 4 or 5 years, I don't really remember, but during the dark days on The Shore, if you wanted to ride, you just picked away and kept the trails you liked running. 2:45 is a ballsy line, you used to be able to roll the log to your right, don't think I ever did the drop 3:55 try that when it's wet, Dave's tire sliding on the off camber log in the dry, haha 3:45 the left through the "mud pit" looks pretty inviting, when your choice is that or off camber green cedar 5:13 that was a straight up huck, or wheelie drop before 6:05 I know it is the first concrete used to build, maybe Digger hadn't figured out he could use cedar planks, or build ladder bridges before then I was hoping you would go full OLD SCHOOL and ride the "refridgerator" at the end, but you can't get on the BP Bridge from the rock anymore, but Dave probably has the skills. If you stay left you end up riding down the rock/creek/drainage and the BP Bridge used to butt up close so you would ride right onto it. Wasn't there for the origins, but I think they called it the "refridgerator" because your feet would freeze riding through the run off water in the creek, plus the rock could be like a skating rink. Would never try it now, but looking back, it was pretty cool.
I just realized I think I'd met yourself and Dave at Thornhill about a month ago. My kids had recognized Dave but should have realized who you were as well - my bad! This is such amazing riding to watch!
Wow that was amazing, thanks for sharing! Mad skills, both of you! I much rather watch techy trails like this one on video rather than jump trails. Wish I had some similar terrain accessible nearby, I'm sure you can develop skills pretty fast if you keep practicing. Love the inner reward for success, like you must have felt when you cleared that tree section at the end!
Jesus your bike skills are amazing. I don't know what it is but your videos are among the best out there. Maybe it is 60fps that does it. For sure your skill are outstanding. Please make longer videos in the future.
How do you even maintain any speed through any of those sections? mega jank, especially cool to watch those log rides and you hopping off of them. This is what and how I ride in my dreams lol. got them ankle socks like a joey lol
Looks like that trail hasnt been maintained in a while. Might be a good hiking trail. Your one tough dude to ride through there! Probably had to tighten some bolts after eh. 😄 Love your biking videos. Mostly watched on Burke Mountain where i hike a lot. Awesome work! Thanks for sharing!!!
@@DaleStone im onto a lot at the moment indeed!!! If interested in hiking videos and adventures with a touch of humour... See my channel. Backcountry traveling is my thing. Cheers!!!
Is there any line over there that isn’t jankier than the most technical line in Alberta? That is the real question. As always you guys are making this look way too easy
02:50 - say it again Dale
🤫
I didn't know that was you at first Dave! No wonder the rider looked so trialsy. Good ride!
Following Dave is probably a solid mix of fun and stress. The guy rides like a bear is chasing him down the mountain. Sick riding as usual guys!
Dave analyzes features the same way I do, so it's wicked to bounce silly line ideas off each other.
I don’t know what it is but your stand out to me from any MTB videos. Keep it up!
He’s steezy, makes it look easy
Fantastic technical riding. Really impressive.
that wheelie looked really cool!! Nice!

The time and effort that goes into sustaining Expresso is surely absurd haha. Where as this gem just gets better each year! 📈
Good shit dude!! Love that your videos are super simple. Highlights the trails and the fun you have along them. Thanks for the content!
Keeps things easy for me too! 😆
Smooth ride. I haven't done it in 8 yrs, but I remember shoulder and elbow checking trees.
My gosh Dave is quick with the rear wheel pivot! Great riding in all that jank!
There's a reason a lot of people following him have emergency brake grabs haha.
Nice techy trail. The move from Dave up the log at the end is awesome! Makes it look so easy, but when I look at it, it looks impossible.
It's very hard to get on top without throwing yourself over the other side. Gloriously techy!
Yes dude. Love the old shore trails!

Very cool history, wish I could've seen it in person! Thanks for the work Tony.
Now here’s one that I haven’t ridden in a long time! Pure Jack! Thank you for resurrecting for me!
Still amazing! Maybe slightly less amazing with the recent snow though haha.
What glorious Jank!...... ankle socks no Dale nooo! LOL Great video as usual!
Gotta save the grams somewhere!
i can see you progress a lot on jumps, nice riding and trail is epic
That looks so steep and amazing . I bet my Hightower would rip on that. Great video thanks for making !
Cool final! (Everything else extra class too, for sure 😉)
Super nice run on that jank fest. So hard to flow on it, but that run looked great.
your videos are as good as popular youtubers, i really enjoy your content
Thanks man, appreciate it!

Hahaha yeah that was me! Zero offence taken of course, hope you got in a good ride!
@@DaleStone A great day if I recall, hope you guys had a good ride too! See you around!
Most people recognize Dale but not me, so it made me feel special lol
@@ddangerousddave lol but really though, do you both need to have yellow bikes?!

Dam! Got some Tech skills guys.
Real tech, huge respect to all the old school riders/ their 26ers

Cool ride...very original trail!

Longer videos require longer trails! Have a few ideas in mind...
If only my bike wasn’t hardtail ;) seriously thou, one of the coolest riding I can watch online..
I learned on trails very similar to this on a hardtail! You learn absurdly fast haha.
@@DaleStone that’s the hope :) cheers

Helluva ride Dale.
Insane. Wow, great!
Great video as always Dale, however one thing that I'll never understand is what's up with the no kneepads?
More aero. 😎
Not to mention keeps you cooler on hot days 😉
This trail looks so hard. You and Dave made it look too easy. Especially Dave. I bet he was born wearing a bike helmet!
He's basically the Stig of disgusting jank.
It's stupid challenging (in a good way), as usual POV does not do justice to the level of jank awesomeness.
Nice buddy I enjoyed your videos. 👍
Yabba dabba doo!
Try, try again... and then ding that log! 👍
Superb riding! Love the classics. Please do more Cypress.
You have great footage too. What mount and camera settings are you using?
I do need to explore Cypress more next year for sure. I film using 2.7K60 superview on a chinbar mounted Hero 8 Black.
That has to be the most awkward trail I've ever seen. Magnificently, amazingly awkward. I kept going, "wait, THAT'S the line?!"
Thankfully Dave's pathfinding AI is reasonably good. 🙏
I remember riding this in the 26” days, looks like it got even more janky, if that is possible.
the log tried to call 8 ball corner pocket but Dave wiggled out of the way just in time
Man is a magician. 🙈
Some pretty steazy riding there. Have to keep an eye on auto correct or it will say sleazy riding. lol
I still can't believe how you even ride this, THIS FAST.
Quality picture
impressive
That's just bad manners at 2:42 😜
Classic Dave. 🙄
Nice!!
Thanks ™, you'll enjoy this one!

Haha, I'll have to make a road trip to verify this claim!
I recommend Expresso, or 7 secrets on Fromme, both are able to be ridden fairly easily if you've ridden most black diamond trails.
Your just gonna blur me in the intro like that smh
Guilty as charged. Beautiful day for a ride eh?
wow so cool
Ou dude why you don´t wear a knee protection
Peak aerodynamic efficiency.
Not so good.. :/
