This is fun. A guy that I was riding with a couple weeks ago called me an "anomaly" because I'm a woman who likes to ride mountain bikes. It's inspiring to see a video of women who are out on the trails, having fun, riding gnarlier things than what I can ride. 💪😊👍
Thought I read somewhere that women riders over 25yo are the fastest growing segment. Not sure how they broke down the groupings but can attest to a huge representation on the North Shore.
I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There are women riders in my area and I do feel that more women are joining the sport all the time. It's definitely more men than women out riding mountain bikes at this point, though (where I live).
I rode this trail in 1992, as I was learning to mountain bike. Back then it was called For Ladies Only, and I only recognized one feature in this video. Seeing that it's a black trail, it makes sense all these years later why my freak factor was high when riding this stuff as a novice. Great video, you girls are truly great riders.

Apparently if someone tells you "you ride like a girl", they mean that you have kick-ass expert MTB skills and slay trails :) Wow, Ladies Only brings some seriously technical sections...huge respect to these ladies!
Way to go Pinkbike!!! More content like this please. Girls/Ladies need more spotlight in our sport. I have ridden with some badass chicks that put my climbing and descending to shame.
Some of the best and bravest riders in our little mtb group of friends are girls, so I never had any doubt that you could do it. Still a great video, good humour, loving the epic video game moves :)
Since starting mountain biking I've never really viewed female mountain bikers as any less talented than male mountain bikers, and this video shows why!
Been riding this since the beginning - now another North Shore rider out there may correct me - but I was told it's called Ladies Only because some sections are so steep, well - it's just better that the rider doesn't have anything "extra" between their legs so to speak! Just what I heard! :-) Converse....
I would have ate ALL the shit at the 3:50 point, drop to berm. If i made it that far. Man i need to practice more pivot turns. They look so cool. Awesome vid and riding!

Haha I love the old school video game theme. We used to play smash bros for hours. Also love seeing woman in the sport. Gets frustrating constantly watching men and having men tell you how to ride. #powertotheP****
@@pinkbike It is a Specialized hard tail. Sometimes we machine parts or modify commercial components. He bought a Rocky Mountain Growler this week so time to retire the retro bike.
