- That's right, ladies vs. the infamous Ladies Only trail here on Vancouver's North Shore! Christina Chappetta, Andréane Lanthier Nadeau, and Georgia Astle tackle one of Vancouver's gnarliest trails, with a few fun challenges thrown in the mix.

This is fun. A guy that I was riding with a couple weeks ago called me an "anomaly" because I'm a woman who likes to ride mountain bikes. It's inspiring to see a video of women who are out on the trails, having fun, riding gnarlier things than what I can ride. 💪😊👍

Thought I read somewhere that women riders over 25yo are the fastest growing segment. Not sure how they broke down the groupings but can attest to a huge representation on the North Shore.
I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. There are women riders in my area and I do feel that more women are joining the sport all the time. It's definitely more men than women out riding mountain bikes at this point, though (where I live).
not sure where you live but here in Okanagan I see a ton of women riding.
I say that all the time. Dating is hard because I want someone who rides haha
I rode this trail in 1992, as I was learning to mountain bike. Back then it was called For Ladies Only, and I only recognized one feature in this video. Seeing that it's a black trail, it makes sense all these years later why my freak factor was high when riding this stuff as a novice.

Been riding this since the beginning - now another North Shore rider out there may correct me - but I was told it's called Ladies Only because some sections are so steep, well - it's just better that the rider doesn't have anything "extra" between their legs so to speak! Just what I heard! :-) Converse....

I first started mtn biking in 1992, and I still can't ride anywhere at your all's level.....at 54, I just don't take the chances I did back then.

@@pinkbike It is a Specialized hard tail. Sometimes we machine parts or modify commercial components. He bought a Rocky Mountain Growler this week so time to retire the retro bike.

The secret to this trail is riding it on bikes from 1992. It wasn't designed for modern enduro bikes.
