She won a well deserved best actress Academy Award for her performance!
I agree
"Thank God, you an angel." HAHAHAHAHAHA I actually lost it at that moment.
India’s slow realisation to How crazy Annie is was just great.
After that sledgehammer ankle-breaking scene🖕 to Annie.
Such a kidder. 😂 😂
So true
Kathy Bates, who plays Annie in this, also has a smallish role in Titanic. A friendly person and not a murdering kidnapper in that one! lol This was a fun reaction!
This is one of the best stephen king book ro movie adaptations another stephen king movie that she is in you should watch is "Delores Claiborne". She was so perfect for this role. Your reaction to the leg breaking scene had me laughing so hard the way you were holding your ankles,I was so hurt when the sheriff got shot,I loved the flirty relationship between the sheriff and his wife.
This is deffinitely rewatchable.
33:11- You need to prepare yourself for the upcoming scene lady. 34:23- Yep, get ready. 34:31- Even YOU got to bite down on something. Imagine how he feels.
The only movie I stayed in the theater to watch again!
The book is different where she amputates his finger and leg so much more savage! The guy in the helicopter not flying is director Rob Reiner(Stand By Me) The detective was in the movie The Firm with Tom Cruise and The Straight Story. Kathy Bates deserved her Best Actress Oscar for this and is good in another King film Dolores Claibourne James Caan(now RIP) the writer was in Elf, The Godfather, and Rollerball in the 1970s. The agent is famous star Lauren Bacall Oscar nominee.
Have you seen Fried Green Tomatoes? Kathy Bates was perfect in that as well.
Buster and Mrs. Buster’s banter is one my favorite parts of the film.
Wow I looooove the silvery (purple?) and royal blue braids. Such good colors!
James Caan was Sonny Corleone in The Godfather
yup
I love reactions to this movie. Everyone thinking at the beginning how lucky he is that she found him.😂😂
And how brilliant is Stephen King? Writing such a fantastic story with only 2 main characters, with only the policeman and publicist on the side.
Annie was crazy but actress kills it! And that ankle breaking still flinch and scream every time I see that
Ya I saw it when it came out on vhs and watched with my girlfriend, her mother, father and grandma. I literally jumped straight up off the floor I was laying on, into the ceiling fan{which was on}, broke it and my head got cut bad, and was squealing like a boy. Omg I kept grabbing my ankles for the rest of movie lmao. I didn't even care, wasn't embarrassed. Kathy Bates is a boss and no one could have did it better, but I'd never approach her for an autograph.....not after that obliteration of the ankles.
Apparently in the book that scene is way way worse and way more brutal and fu#$ed up.😮
@@cavaughngrace1488 can't imagine how cuz that was brutal
@@kimcottingham8043 Well in the novel Annie cuts off Paul's foot with an axe and cauterizes the stump with a blowtorch, after she discovers he has been getting out of his room while she's gone. She also cuts off his thumb later in the novel. Trust me, the book is way more brutal if you don't believe me read it.
@CaVaughn Grace oh my gosh. Definitely worse!!!!
you giving annie the benefit of the doubt at the start was really sweet :P i bet youre gonna change your mind by the end!
In the book, Paul hid his book he wrote under the bed and burned a pile of blank pages with a couple pages of words on top of it
Apparently Stephen King wrote or told Kathy Bates that she brought Annie to life...And this is suppose to Kathy Bates first movie too.
Misery the pig is so cute.
yeah lol
34:47- Ain't no way this is love. 35:53- Welp, prepare yourself again. 39:03- Yep, guess we know Who Shot the Sheriff. 44:50- How I was when I saw her in "The Family that Preys"
The way it slowly builds. If you dont know the basic plot, Annie seems nice. Like "oh she saved him thank God". Then we slowly realize the truth. She's a dangerous psycho. And he's completely at her mercy with literally everything. Food, medicine, hygiene. Terrifying ordeal.
Girl............. I been waitin' for your reaction to this one!! ✌🏽❤🦉
(Btw, it's spelled Stephen King, but pronounced Steven)
Fun Fact: The vast majority of King's novels are set in the state of Maine.
"The Shining" location was set in Colorado.
@@moon-moth1 Most but not all. "The Shining" is in Colorado.
Ahhhh, finally back on this channel. So glad this lady is back in the RUclips algorithm. 29:18- Old Spice.
IM YOUR BIGGEST FAN LOL🤣🤣
🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 LMAO
You win the internet tonight, John!
Uh oh! Run, India! Run!
I hold my foot the exact same way when I watch this.
❤ your channel.
Thanks heaps from New Zealand 🇳🇿
LMAO Annie is a piece of work for sure. You should see her in Dolores Claiborne. It's another Ste[hen King film... this time she's a little more subdued.
Love this. I know also are going to enjoy.
35:04-35:08 I never laughed so hard. You too funny
Annie Wilkes = instant cure for writer's block. Yes, she starred in FGT, but she got her first Oscar for this.
Stephen King (pronounced Steven) is probably among the most popular American authors of all time. Almost any movie/TV show based on his books will be, at the very least, super interesting and entertaining. Some are better than others but none are boring. Many are masterpieces. His genre is mostly horror/thriller/supernatural but he has also written in other genres and he's just as good at those. The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption and Stand By Me are all based on his books, as well as The Shining, It, and so many more. You could do a whole series of Stephen King based reactions. Good reaction today; fun to watch.
I used to wonder why he was driving so fast in the snow. I do the same sometimes because if you stop or slow down you might get stuck & those roads weren't plowed.
Love this movie. Thanks💖🌹.
Great reaction.
Hi India, I'm your number one fan. I love you. Well, I love your movie reactions is what I meant.
Wooden matches are easy to light. At least they are in the movies.
I'm your number one fan! chills...........
That and "help me help you". 😊
right
I'm Indias number one fan.
Aww hell na ‼️😭😭😭😭😭
🤣
Another side of Kathy in The Waterboy
35:05 👏
Omg it's pronounced Steven King even though it's not spelled that way.😂
I always figured Annie owned a pig to eat the bodies.
In the book she starts out killing people that were severly injured with no hope of recovery or in comas. It mentions one baby that was born with severe birth defects with little chance of survival, but then she started killing healthy ones as well. It also indicates that she was abused as a child.
India
I am your number one fan 🤩 I watch all your videos
❤
“Hi Pumkin!!!” 🖕🤕🖕 lol I’ll always be flipping Annie off
19:04 He’s already burned the book. Does she want him to set himself on fire now?
Giggle, giggle….
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1. A mustang isn't a very good vehicle to drive in the snow.
2. Red flag #1: Anyone that says "Oogie"
3. The way she responded to the fire in the BBQ pit when he threw a match on the book:
What do you expect?
4. In the book Annie chops his feet off (not just hobbling him). It IS Stephen King after all.
5.Kathy Bates won Best Actress Oscar.
6. Rob Reiner is a great director but, it's too bad he's a CPF.😭🤬
7. King wrote this because of a deep-seated fear of what overzealous fans might do.
8. RIP James Caan 😇
CPF?
@@veggiesaremurder "Commie, Pinko, F-word". Thanks to the writing he actually had to gear down to play meathead in "All in the family.
@@williamjones6031 I've never heard anyone use that as an acronym before, but good fuck is he ever! He's at every single celebrity bitch-fest, telling us how to live our lives...
@@veggiesaremurder Exactly. I'm old school. I stumbled upon that term from the Hank Williams Jr. song, "Uneasy Rider".
I’ve seen you like this. 😂
Hey Almond Eyes! This is one of my favorite movies. Even Stephen King said it was terrifying..
Why does India want to know what's my favorite scene? There is only one scene!
To qoute a certain rapper: "It's Hammer time!"
What's with faces? Then looking at yourself to see if it will make a good thumbnail. Is there some kind of " become a better reactor" video or something that tells you to do that? Everyone is doing it!
what are you even talking about?
@@lyssalovesit Exactly what I said. Did you not read it correctly?
@@johnduval6377 I read it. Just don't see what you're seeing I suppose.
Agree, very stupid face thumbnails. 👎
@Alyssa Dyson Felt the same way. Heck wrong with him? Maybe chick just has an expressive face. Jeez.
NOW GO BACK AND WATCH THE SLEDGEHAMMER SCENE!! YOU ARE RIPPING US ALL OFF BY NOT DOING YOUR JOB AND WATCHING 👀 THE ENTIRE MOVIE.
Na go to patreon …I watched the whole movie dick ! I have to edit or will be blocked .Thanks tho 🖤
No I'm talking about the breaking the ankles with the sledgehammer. You turned away and closed your eyes. You never even saw it.
Lmfao....yep same reaction everyone has. That sledge scene is the worst I've seen in a movie off top of my head.....short of real life movies about horrible things. Idk, Kathy did a little too well in this performance and I'd never want to ask for her autograph; she's terrifying. Try Hand That Rocks the Cradle if you want another deranged woman.
YES!
