  • KAILASA’s Nithyananda Meditation Academy (NMA) located in Toronto, KAILASA’S SPH Nithyananda Foundation located in Vancouver, KAILASA’s Hindu Temple Calgary are three of SPH’s non-profit organizations in Canada which complete monthly food-drives, collect non-perishable food items and make subsequent arrangements to distribute the food to communities in need. Over the last 10 years, 500,000+ meals have been served. Throughout the pandemic starting from March 2020 until now, 10K+ people have been served in Ontario alone.
    On December 31st 2020, in the midst of COVID19 pandemic, KAILASA in Canada’s Toronto Sarvajnapeetha donated 1200 pounds of non-perishable food items to Agincourt Community Service Food bank. In January 2021, NMA fed 1336 people. Furthermore, in May 2020, SPH’s community in Toronto donated 10K to Sri Lanka.
    Most recently, on July 21, 2021, the KAILASA’s SPH Nithyananda Foundation, founded by SPH and administered by the KAILASA’s Vancouver Canada Sangha (community), completed their first food bank drive. On that day, 108.4 lbs of certified organic rice, grains and legumes were donated to the University of British Columbia Food Bank. 370+ students in need that are currently living on campus were fed.
    Furthermore, in August 2021, the KAILASA’s SPH Nithyananda Foundation provided organic food baskets to 35 single-mom families.
    In July and October 2021, KAILASA in Ottawa provided 1000+ free meals to Minwaashin Lodge, an indigenous shelter for First Nations, Inuit and Metis women and children.
