Being a single man, after losing my wife of 35 years to cancer four years ago, I look for recipes that allow me to have multiple meals from each item I cook. Six Sisters has done it again! These three recipes allow me to freeze the leftovers and have another meal later in the month or even a couple of months later. These are just as good warmed over as they were straight out of the Crockpot. Thank you, Sisters for another great set of meal ideas!
I just bought a brand new slow cooker! I have 3 now, and sold our instant pot because I never used it often enough. Even considering selling our air fryer too honestly.
I live in a hot part of the country, and I can’t imagine not having an air fryer now! During the really hot summer days, I use the air fryer and can have hot food without running the oven at 400 degrees for a long time and heating up the house.
I'm both. My daughter just gave me this adorable little slow cooker that is great for two people. I haven't used it yet so I'm really excited about trying it. She got it for her wedding shower 6 years ago and it's never been used.
Thank you for presenting and rating these recipes, ladies. I don't bother to put my crockpot away, I just keep looking for recipes to make in it. Your recipes today are super enticing. I'm having trouble deciding which one to make tomorrow. 😍
My mother's friend gave her a crockpot for over a year she didn't use but since I convinced her to she and I absolutely love using it we have cooked ribs cakes brownies and pot roast
I use my Instant Pot all the time, love it! I’ve probably only used my slow cooker 6 - 10 times in 15 years. My workday w/ commute kept me out of the house too many hours to trust a slow cooker. These dishes look amazing.
All 3 look delicious, I will be trying them especially the potato chicken one love that it is not drenched in soups. Reminds me of scalloped potatoes with chicken.
Kristen can you tell us why you rated the first one 4.5? Would you do something differently next time? I wanted to try this one tomorrow. Thanks! And yes I still use my slow cooker all the time. Lately not pulling out the IP much. I will prob go back to it at some point. 😂🎉❤
The ninja foodi changed the game for our family! It’s an air fryer, slow cooker, instant pot & more all in one! Saves so much storage room for big appliances !
Team slow cooker for sure. I use it once a week, if not twice. I never use my instant pot. I even adapt most ip recipes to the slow cooker. It is much more convenient for me to prep early in the day, and get it in the slow cooker. If I wait till closer to dinnertime, I'd rather use the stove or oven. I have just never really 'clicked' with my Instant Pot. I really only bought or because all my favorite slow cooker gurus on YT stopped giving us slow cooker recipes (you and 365 days). I really was hoping to love it.
Same. I *want* to love the IP, but I just don't. It's disappointing to me because I loved my old stove top pressure cooker to death and used to use it probably twice a week. We were a small enough family -3 - that we had leftovers and we liked to eat out a couple of times a week. And I've always liked my crockpots, too. I still ❤ all my crockpots.

I love slow cookers when I have stuff to do all day. Throw and go. I love instant pot for when I have a hour before dinner to cook. So i love both 💖 Also yummy recipes!!!
For the loaded chicken and potato recipe, can you use sour cream instead of whipping cream? I usually have sour cream in my fridge, but never use whipping cream. I love sour cream on baked potatoes and wonder if it will give it a closer taste to baked potatoes in this recipe.
I definitely think sourcream would work here. I'd use a cup, and thin it out with a little milk-- just a bit so it's portable like the cream was. Might make it a 5/5?
Chip dip, anyone? I when I fix mashed potatoes, I like to use onion-flavored chip dip instead of plain sour cream. And, like you, I don't normally have heavy cream in the fridge.
I didn’t even get to finish watching before my husband requested we have the first one for dinner. So it’s currently in my slow cooker- which by the way I love ❤️ I haven’t gotten over being afraid to try an instapot 🤷🏻♀️
I was the same about using my Instant Pot…I gave the first two away…(now I have two more, (one 3 qt and one 6 qt)…I finally figured out that if hundreds of people love them, I would try again so with Kristen’s help and one other RUclipsr, I now am loving both of them!
I appreciate that at least one recipe wasn’t chicken! Yes, I can’t imagine getting rid of my slow cooker. I cook more real food in it than the ip, which I honestly just use for boiled eggs. 😀
I've been cooking with my Instant Pot for about 5 years now but I do still use my slow cooker. One appliance my IP has put out of a job is my rice cooker! I can't do dairy so I can't eat a lot of your recipes, though some of course I can omit the dairy! Love your recipes and that you also use the Lux in many videos, which has been my faithful work horse for these 5 years! My very best to all of you ladies and your families!!!
Hell yeah I still use my slow cooker. I’ll prep a stew, soup or spaghetti sauce 😂in the morning and head off to work and supper is ready when we get home. Plus the house smells like grandma has been there. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve come to LOVE my instant pot (thanks to Kristin ❤️) but some situations just seem to fit one pot or the other. I’m keeping them both.

I have both, I cannot reach my slow cooker on the top shelf. I am a shorty. Lol. Cilantro (fresh) tastes like soap to me. My son loves cilantro so I keep it on the side for him.
Slow cooker team for sure....it's like a tried and true friend! I still use my instant pot but I'm not as apt to test recipes that I've already mastered in my slow cooker! I mean if it's not broken, why fix it??? 😊

Crockpot manufacturers suggest that you do not lock the crockpot unless you are going to use it for travel on the crockpot is locked you can damage the seals
I’m team both. I don’t like the slow cook function on either of my instant pots, it doesn’t seem like it gets hot enough or the distribution of food is off compared to an actual slow cooker.
I agree…the slow cooker function on my Instant Pot is a no go besides I bought the IP for a faster cleaner way than even my stove top…I use both plus my Air Fryer!!!
I'm on lover of all my kitchen power machines so depending on the recipe, I will use my version on the instant pot, my slow Cooker and my air fryer. I prefer these ways rather than old school stove & oven, lol. But I enjoy that too
Out of all the crock pot recipes i have tried only one turned out well, everything else was tasteless. Sorry, Instant pot is my thing to go... I have 2 and love them. But I still own a crock pot yet, still have some hope 😂
More slow cooker recipes please! I love my slow cookers and use them all the time. I will never own an Instant Pot, because even though they have many safety features, I don't ever want something that could injure me. When a slow cooker dies, it just quits heating. More my speed :-)
Crock pots are coming back into fashion. I have been making use of them since the 70s. Oh yes, I have an Instant Pot as well. They both having their shining moments in the kitchen. I am a farm wife, an artist , a small business owner. Life can get busy and sometimes overwhelming. Loading up the crock at 6am and forgetting it for the day is a game changer for me. I can go about my day knowing a lovely meal will be waiting for me later on. How cool is that! So yes, I would like to see more healthy crock pot recipes please, especially chicken. ~ Diane

Just leave it out. I can’t eat onions and peppers so I never use them. Everything still turns out fine! 🎉

Some things that you can do in both, admittedly taste better in the slow cooker, but if I'm out of time, the pressure cooker keeps us fed!

the instant pot i have has a slow cooker setting so i use that sometimes so i don’t have to have two separate appliances 😊
