I would love to become a diplomat. I am 25 and studying English and American Studies in Germany. My biggest concern is the fact that I have language difficulties and I know it is so important for the foreign service to communicate effectively and precisely. Don't get discouraged. Go for it. This country needs more young ppl in the government.
If you think you can't then u can't, if you believe you can then you might have a chance. If you want to become then start believe in you.

Hi Ms.Traveler I’m a 16 year old living in the Middle East and I am stressing a lot about joining the UN, mostly because I don’t know if it’s possible to work at 16 but there are a bunch of other reasons to, one of them being the fact that I am living in the Middle East second being I am 16 and can’t afford traveling anywhere and lastly being I don’t even know where to start and I’m scared I’m wasting my time even tho I will be studying social studies at uni..so I was wondering can you help me out?

Many r doing diplomacy course such as best diplomats from turkey,dubai,singapore. My question is can they enter foreign ministry without being a civil service cadre?
I just retired from the military and I’m torn between doing this or applying to the CIA, I know if I pick one over the other, once that application process starts I’m essentially “stuck” until it runs its course, so I have alot of thinking to do on this. This is really informative.

Hello! It depends. During A 100 if you lived far enough from DC, then yes, lodging was taken care of.
