- Join me as I spend two days alone in the beautiful Canadian wilderness next to a little river. On this trip I make a comfortable camp under a giant white spruce tree, enjoy some delicious campfire meals, and sleep soundly under a cloth tarp as it rains throughout the night.

In my mind, setting up camp for an overnight trip is crazy: 3 people, a huge tent, so much food, so many clothes, but the more and more I watch your videos Ryley, the more I can see a simpler overnight setup. (I'm the mom, it's my job to overthink?)
And as our little dude gets older, the more I want him to realize that some times, just enough is enough. And there is a way to live (even if just for a day or too) that is simple and beautiful. Cheers good sir and God Bless you!
good old kusk,we the viewers can alway rely on you to bring a wee bit of peace and tranquility into our lives thanks again, keep em coming.

Chaga tea is a very nice tea, I'm lucky enough to have it around by me.What a beautiful spot to camp. Quality as usual, cheers.
Dear Ryley
I enjoyed your videos very much. Most of us bushcraft audience like to see someone who goes into the wilderness by himself to spend some quiet and peaceful moments with nature. We love it when the person is doing it in a calm, unhurried and relaxed manner. I never like those bushcraft videos where the individual seems to be rushing from one task to another. You managed to capture the very essence of bushcraft in your videos. You do things in a very calm, controlled and relaxed manner. It brings about a atmosphere of peace and satisfaction in watching you. Thanks for your videos.
As always!!!!!
Awesome!
Thanks for sharing those quiet, peaceful, amazing moments with us.
just found this one - thanks
Супер поход 🙌🌲лесная кухня 🍜🍴 однозначно Like 👍👍👍👍👍......
A real Pathfinder. Thanks for sharing. Lessons of going back to Nature from the auto domesticated lifestyle.
cool
Brazil here🇧🇷
Very nice 🤠
I haven’t seen many double bitted axes in camp, and never one with that short of a handle. Interesting. Useful for splitting, aih?

Please regularly give videos they are awesome 🔥🔥
i wish wish wish i could get over my fear of bears and do this. i live in BC and i just cannot imagine ever going into the woods and feeling comfortable and safe alone. even with bear spray. i hope one day i can get enough courage
Go with a friend a few times then go by yourself. Its something i struggle with too. Even try going with a friend but dont camp together.
@Ximos Trilox you can't carry it in the summer though. Shot gun loaded with shot is all you can cary all year
@Ximos Trilox oh 100% im just saying be careful of the strange laws we have lol it can be buck shot too.
The law is written "a shotgun loaded with shot" so its pretty much anything but slugs
i enjoy the calm and silence
Absolutely wonderful, thank you
I appreciate that every video you walk extra distance to set up camera, just to have a nice shot of you walking by for us
Love that carved cup
The peace of nature can't give any human.
Muito bom amigo....que paisagens e lugares esplêndidos....
nice
Love your videos mate, stay safe
Que gusto ver de nuevo una aventura tuya.Abrazo desde Sinaloa,Mèxico.
Definitivamente uno de mis youtuber favorito. Saludos desde Durango, Dgo. México 🇲🇽
Seeing that cold, clear mountain stream makes me want to grab a fly rod and spend a few hours wetting a line for trout for supper. If you’re into fly fishing it would be neat to have a a vid making a fly rod, tying flies from found materials, cooking the trout, etc. Cheers from Cold Lake!
i really like this video and love nature and all of you comment .
14:20 tangy lol
You still haven’t gone back to the wooden pack frame. I’m looking forward to how you approach your challenge there.
As always, thank you for sharing. There is always something to learn, or be reminded of in your videos.
Be well, be safe, take good care, and god bless.
Well I guess I'll be having steak for dinner after watching this
Watching your videos, for me, is like reading Hatchet 🪓 (and the other Brian books) by Gary Paulsen. Very relaxing and entertaining, yet educational. It's interesting to see how little you really need to enjoy yourself in the outdoors. You just have to go out with the right attitude, which you display in every video. I believe your channel is the only one that does this for me... keep up the great (and therapeutic) work! You should write a book about your camping journey... Peace to you from Alaska.
Do you not ever put up a tent for shelter? Love your videos. Thanks for posting. Your a shy one,you don't talk very much. But that's okay. I dont like someone who goes on and on when their talking. Do you ever get afraid out there all alone? I would be afraid but I would have to fight the fear. If I fight the fear then the devil can't win. Thanks for uplifting video.Stay safe.
Another awesome vid. Thanks!
👍👍chilled Ryley👍👍👌🙏
Thank for that great video my friend.......
Hey hailing from UK 🇬🇧 love your vids really jealous too , and can't wait for the next 😀
Awesome video, definitely looking forward to the next one 🤙🤙🤙
Отличное новое видео, с удовольствием посмотрел, желаю вам дальнейших творческих успехов)
You should do a behind the scenes in one of your camping videos!! Explain how it all works!
I should have watched this just before bed, so nice and relaxing could easily drift off into a wilderness dream! LAL
Welcome back kid. Missed your videos
To feel the warmth through the night, what's the ideal distance the fire should be away from your sleeping area?
I think most people recommend around 3 feet. In my experience that's a pretty good place to start. When it's really cold I'll usually try to keep my fire a bit closer to where I'm sleeping.. maybe about 2.5 feet. Of course it's important think about safety. Too close and you risk catching fire to your shelter/gear/bedding. The fire will throw sparks and embers as well so the closer the fire the more risk there is of receiving spark holes in your gear. Hope this helps. Happy trails!
@@KuskBushcraft superb. Thanks for taking the time to reply
Love this 👍👍👍
Heeeeeyyyyy!!!!!
Amazing video. Thanks for sharing it :)
Damn! Broke the yolk. I hate it when that happens.
Great vid, dude. When are you going to start using the small cabin you built?
👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌
Hey. Really enjoying your videos! So peaceful and calming.
Do you always venture out alone? Or is someone with you to shoot the videos? The angles shift quite a lot and are always very good :)
Hello, nice campsite. I like tea, but never heard or tried the one your drinking. ❤️💯
Great video, beautiful nature.
Amazing! :D
Great video my friend!!
Hi,
You have a great channel. I am new to your videos and have some time to watch some of your older stuff. I saw something odd flash through your video at the 4:55 time on this video. You will see it flash on the screen from the bottom upward and just disappear at the bare stalk sticking out of the groud about 3/4 up the screen. Probably a video glitch, but still interesting to point out.
Hi Ryley, The sound of rain on a tarp is so therapeutic. Chaga what does it taste like and is it part of the tree or a fungus? How did the tarp do in the rain? Another great vid mate keep-em coming. ATB Pete
The discription says: Chaga tea and boiled river water.
Another wonderful video. So relaxing. I was waiting for you to deglaze the frying pan with the chicken. Oops, wrong video. LOL.
That's what happens when you watch them back to back.
Hey im from Indonesia i like u chanels. Thks
love the channel, would be interested to know how you maintain your knife (cleaning and sharpening) as it always looks spotless
One Word - Salubrious
Hi, beautiful videos and there are even more on youtube, but one question won't give me peace of mind? is it allowed to start a fire in the forest, I always call myself a burning forest? Thanks...
Who needs: therapy, netflix, amazon prime, yoga or dvd’s when we’ve got Ryley cookin steak tips and steak and eggs for breakfast. Amazing!! Beautiful camp. Awesome homemade tarp! Just curious how you stored the raw meat through the night. Take care.
The videos for waxed pants and Tarp are not available, are they still on your site? Thanks , always enjoy your vids
make good use of nature. simple camping
